For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running white tablecloth restaurant in the city.
Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood and service. This consistent high level of quality and overall guest experience over 3 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, businesspeople, families and loyal diners alike.

We were so excited to treat our guest from South Africa to Jeff Ruby’s. We have been there a few times and really talked it up. The steaks were amazing. The Mac and cheese was burnt. Our waiter did not seem interested in our party at all. We witnessed him engaging with other tables and developing positive dining relationship/experiences with them, going above and beyond for them, and then he’s basically ignored us unless we needed something. It took 55 minutes to get our first bite of food on the table.
Just didn’t live up to the normal Jeff Ruby’s/Precinct experience.

Had a late reservation d/t waiting until last minute. Server was great except could not make out most of what he said d/t noise level, but noise died down after a while, and also the couple behind us had gotten way too drunk and one was escorted back to his seat by the manager after leaving for the bathroom (restaurant called an Uber for the couple 👍🏻) Food was amazing though! Ordered the Collingaworth and had crab patties as an app!

This was my second time at this location. The service was outstanding, the server was very attentive, funny, and a pleasure to be around. We really enjoyed our trip the first time and because my wife and I both worked on Valentine’s Day, this was our valentines dinner. The food looked incredible and the atmosphere was great as always. With that being said, I have a shellfish allergy, I did not let them know in advance, and there was a small issue. From having this happen I can Personally tell you this restaurant really cares not only about the experience they provide, but more importantly the people that enjoy this local treasure located just minutes from the city.

We were an older group of 8, in for a special occasion. Seated in one of the smaller rooms, we had no difficulty hearing one another. Our server offered good suggestions. The wines and food were terrific. Finally, we weren't rushed. Delightful evening!

We came from Wilmington to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday. (We had come here three years ago to celebrate our son’s. ) Our server was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food was excellent tasting, although I like my food served while it is hot. Both the scallop and grits appetizer and my steak Collinsworth were both lukewarm, as if they may have been sitting in the kitchen for a few minutes before being brought to the table. I’m sure our server would have corrected that had I asked, but didn’t want to make a fuss during our celebration. The birthday dessert and the photo provided were nice touches. The evening was fine, just nothing particularly special.

Our servers Chad and Adam were so sweet and really hospitable. Everyone was welcoming the moment we walked in and made the experience fully enjoyable. The food is soooo good and I can't wait to save up and come back. Worth every penny.
