For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.
Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service. This consistent, high level of quality and overall guest experience over 4 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, business people, families, and loyal diners alike.                                                                                                         A 3rd great dinner this month at the Precinct. We return for the perfectly prepared Filet and Lobster tail. Service and friendliness is always top notch. Love the consistency of the floor management making sure everything is perfecr!

                                                                                                        We sat in the bar at a high top table which was not very comfortable. The service was excellent but the food wasn’t as good as the last time we were there. Next time we won’t have a nice dinner in the bar.

                                                                                                        Our experience at The Precinct was spot-on with what would be expected from a Jeff Ruby restaurant. The waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. The wait staff was right there with refills of water and the removal of plates as we finished. I couldn't have been more impressed with the overall service. The food was absolutely delicious. I have a new favorite in the boneless ribeye. It was amazing. I'm very happy with our overall experience and will be back again.

                                                                                                        We had a lovely meal and experience here! Our server Dallas was excellent. We had a mixup with a takeout dessert not being placed in the bag with our leftovers, and staff went way above and beyond to let me know right away (before we even knew about the problem!) and made things right. We will absolutely be back for special occasions!

David was our server and he was great. His recommendations were spot on, and he was very professional without being overly formal. We always love The Precinct.
