For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running white-tablecloth restaurant in the city.

We got a gift certificate for Christmas and we got a reservation we waited 2 months for. I was completely underwhelmed with out service. Our Waitress was not attentive or informative and she spoke so softly I could hardly hear her. It was just disappointing. The food was great.

Both of our steaks were undercooked and had to be taken back to be cooked longer. This is second time of having a bad experience. Always except more when going to a Ruby's. I will say the butter cream pie was amazing!

I did have to send back my steak because it was over cooked. But it was remedied right away. I have never had to send back a steak at the precinct. But all in all, it’s was a great experience!!

The precinct is always excellent. Best steak in the land. The February March 6 ounce filet +6 ounce lobster tail is actually a pretty good value, as it includes asparagus, and potatoes.

Alex was very pleasant and informative to us. Although we arrived pretty late they still made sure we had a table for us. We were also greeted soon as we walked through the door. First time here place was amazing I’ll be back!

We were really excited to try the Precinct. We were ready for a big night out, and had a reservation. Our reservation was at 6:15, and we weren’t seated until 6:45. We watched 4 other couples get seated before us, that checked in after us, before we checked back in and asked how much longer it would be. We were polite in asking. It was bizarre, and knowing they are famous for good service. We were politely dismissed and then eventually seated. The food was good. But honestly, it’s supposed to be an outing where you’re willing and wanting to drop a lot of money on the experience, and didn’t feel like it was reciprocated.

Went during the week 3/21 for no special reason. Spouse and I both got a filet and lobster special. The food was great UNTIL……..I’d only eaten my lobster and asked server to box rest. I was hesitant bc we’d come for my daughter’s college graduation (8 of us) and they sent all the leftovers with the wrong people and all leftovers went home with someone else. On 3/21 I figured they were boxing just my food and it would be ok, but NO! After paying and waiting for my to go box with my steak and sides, they came out and said they’d thrown it out my accident but we’re making a new one to take home, great I thought. Got home and there were no sides (I hadn’t eaten mine, a new steak, and a lobster tail so overcooked it Was inedible and went in the trash. Canceling our dinner for 17 people later this year. Such a disappointment the last 2 times we went in.

We celebrated my partner’s birthday at the Precinct last night. It was a phenomenal dining experience. Fantastic service, outstanding food. This restaurant will be a regular for very special occasions. It is very expensive, but worth the price for the overall experience.
