This was our third visit to your restaurant...previously all for dinner. We were a party of 6 this time - 4 x adults; 2 x children (10/12). Again we were given the 'unfortunate table' beside the kitchen and opposite the bar area... as this apparently is the only table that takes 6!! (That needs to change I suggest). Generally food - very average of all the courses we had. (Am sure you are able to look them up). Food portion size - very small - crab entree minuscule and quite frankly lacking in taste... steaks ordered by male guests overcooked and dry and very disappointing. Generally prices are OVERPRICED and there are many more gastro pubs around that offer value for money. We are never concerned about paying an honest price for an honest meal..but The Potting Shed seems to be trading on a reputation which has passed by. You do need to lift your game and ensure that the high standard which you believe you have attained is actually achieved. I hardly ever write a review but needed to do this one. And no.... we didn't complain on the night as it was a special birthday celebration and we would have been embarrassed to draw attention to our guests in relation to our own disappointment. I don't think we will return as are many other options available to us in the area.

service was very good and the food was excellent with a well balanced menu and we will be returning as these new owners have raised the bar to when we last visited over a year ago. great beer and atmosphere although the prosecco was the only downside according to girls there could be more options on the fizz?

Really lovely pub inside and out, would recommend as long as you aren't vegetarian (like myself) only 1 main option that very that nice.

Very pleasant surroundings and most attentive, efficient and friendly staff. The service was quick and the standard of food superb. This was the first time we had been there - recommended by a friend - and it certainly won't be the last. We have decided that it is one of our most favourite places in the area. I had the roast beef - I'm usually very particular concerning that meat. It was the finest I had tasted and beautifully cooked. Thank you to all at the Potting Shed. We shall definitely return - soon!!

Charming atmosphere and creative menu. The only let down was the time it took to get the food but we were warned about this by a friend so wasn't surprised or put off. We did change tables as the one for 3 was just too small and we all struggled with the table we finally sat at as it didn't really allow thigh room and we are not over weight. We will definitely return but when making a reservation will request a high legroom table. Staff were lovely and apologetic for the delay. We could see the kitchen staff were working full out. Presentation was lovely.
