Enjoyed the meal and the restaurant ambiance. The downtown is very accessible.
Everything is good if you don't mind too much salt on your food, something that could be easily corrected if we let them know!!! Most people prefer lower salt, we can add more if necessary. I had the steak sandwich which was why I am complaining about the salt. The Beef Burgundy is also too salty, I stopped ordering it. In general I love french food so I'll continue to try different things. I hope they get my message about the salt.
First time for me. My son has been several times. I wish the people of El Paso would seek out restaurants like this one like in big cities. This will definitely be one of my favorite go to restaurants.
Wonderful dinner. I had the rosemary and prosciutto penne pasta. Delicious.
I visited with my girlfriend. The food was really good. The service was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the food. It is a nice ambiance as a couple or a group of friends. Walking distance to other places in the growing down town area.
The variety of food was great. The samosas were delicious!!!
The menu was intriguing and the entree I had was amazing. The food was very well prepared with attention put into presentation as well. The tea-smoked duck was a highlight of my trip to El Paso.
Small cafe type restaurant. Food was very good. Friend stated best Mojito ever.
My husband and I wanted a date night out. Pot au Feu has great food, service, and ambiance. We really enjoyed it.
All I will say is, first thing we were told was” we are out of this and that” and whatever we chose they “ didn’t have time to make”.
Amazing food and service, cant wait to go back to try more of the menu.
Send one of the dishes back to the kitchen. Got a new one, which was better. They didn’t charge us for one meal. It was oke but I would not go again.
DID NOT Enjoy the Food. The appetizer was very greasy. The dinners tasted as if the beef had gone bad. the duck was very tough and just too hard to eat. The pasta was overcooked and mushy. Service brought the food to the table for one us and a few minutes later the other. We left with our meals uneaten. Don't normally leave a terrible review but felt it necessary in this case.
My husband got the steak and frites, which was delicious. However, I got the braised short rib and it was terrible. The meat was bland and super chewy. I was really disappointed.
This is a lovely restaurant. It has the feel of an old Paris bistro. The service is impeccable and the menu is quite interesting and varied. I had the tea-smoked duck which was delicious. My friend had the rosemary penne with Gorgonzola and prosciutto which was delightful. The portions were generous, the ambiance is relaxed and I wished I was hungry enough to order another dinner.
Frenchish food not remarkable. The reviews are misleading. Not bad just not exceptional.
I ordered the tea smoked duck with noodles which was very good. My wife wanted to try the beef ribs but they were out so she settled for fish and chips which were just okay in her opinion.
Great food and great options. Space was a little noisy but it was a busy evening. Service was wonderful as our waiter was constantly checking on us, and offering to refresh our drinks. Can’t wait to go back.
Usually when I visit restaurants multiple times, I find myself ordering the same thing over and over again. However, every time I visit the Pot, I try something different almost as a challenge to see if I ever leave disappointed. That hasn't come close to happening yet, aside from them not having the same soup I loved on my previous visit. But the different and unique offerings are what keep me going back. I've also managed to turn it into my parents' favorite place to have dinner before a show. Always looking forward to the next time!
Best steak sandwich ever!
We had quite pleasant experience with the restaurant. Food was delicious. Will be coming back.
Food was excellent! Service was ok. Our waiter could have come by a bit more often to refill our drinks and ask if we needed anything. Right as soon as we were taken to our table we were informed that several items from the menu were not available. Overall, it didnt affect us too much, just our appetizer wasnt available. Aside from this, everything else was great and my wife and I had a pleasant dinner.
While the place is small, it is organized and the staff is more than capable to handle the crowd. The food was great, and the live music was fantastic.
One of my favorite restaurants. Always delicious and I love the decor.
My wife and I have been to Pot Au Feu many times and they never disappoint. The food is always great, I order the chimichurri steak when its available. This place is great for a date night or stopping by for lunch.
Great place great food. Mistakinly scheduled our date at the same time as winterfest, so lots of impulsive walk-ins for restroom or impromptu groups killed the initial ambience. Otherwise will be back again.
Great, small restaurant with international cuisine
LOVE, love, love the food...we will visit again on our next trip to El Paso. We were a group of three and each ordered a different dishes and ALL thought their selection was the best food we had in the city.
Try the tea smoked duck. It is phenomenal. The wine selection is fantastic too with glass and bottle options. I highly recommend this for a date night. The ambience is perfect.
food was excellent. music was great. service was spotty but seems like they were missing a waitperson for the night. overall, it's worth coming to this place. a gem
Great food with some amazing live jazz. Had a great time. Those gentlemen musicians are unreal.
I was really disappointed. We went on a advertised jazz night that was supposed to have drink specials. There were no specials and the recommended cocktails were strange concoctions that had no appeal. I got the fish and chips. Obviously the oil hadn’t been hot enough to cook either the fish or the fries since both were limp. I guess that’s a risk here if you are one of the first tables of the night eating pre-theater. My companion got the lamb burger. While cooked medium, it was extremely dry. The waitress seemed inexperienced and kept asking the manager?/Head waitress for guidance, but that lady didn’t appear to be interested. Altogether ok, but nothing special to entice me to ever go back.
The food is wonderful and there is something for even the pickiest person. Our server was new, and she did get the order right, but her ability to relate to her customers needs work.
This place was right around the corner from where we were spending the night. The appearance is as much bar as restaurant and one woman was the hostess, bartender and waitress. She was great at all three. My date had the ratatouille sandwich with onion rings and I had the fish and chips. Excellent food. A couple of Texas golden ales rounded out an excellent meal. Very nice indeed.
This place was amazing and all the food was fantastic, from the appetizers to the main courses to the deserts...everything was so good and the staff was awesome too!
Loved everything about this place. I will definitely be back for the beef bourguignon.
Overall disappointing. Had been once before about 2 yrs ago. It was a much better experience then. The dinning room was run down, crumbs on chairs and table felt sticky. Food was ok, didn’t know how to make a wine cocktail and martini was skimpy. There were only 2 other diners at the time. My friend had Steak and Frites I had Salad Nicoise. Steak a bit undercooked for medium, salad was large and fresh.
Love Pot a feu. It has never disappointed. Service is great and food is phenomenal. Kind of old world atmosphere, like a restaurant you might see in Brooklyn. Delicious! I have had pretty much everything there and loved it. Elevated cuisine and comfort food.
We were very pleased with the atmosphere, ambiance of the place! The food was really good and the wine list, the service was good, overall I recommend this restaurant without hesitation!
My husband and I were traveling in the El Paso area and staying downtown. We found this restaurant just blocks from our hotel and what a lovely surprise it was! The restaurant is located in a historic building and is nicely remodeled. The service was prompt and gracious - we enjoyed our friendly server. The wine and spirits selection was ample. But by far the best part of our visit was the incredibly delicious food. Everything we ordered just couldn't have been better. I ordered the Caesar side salad with my fettucine alfredo while my husband ordered the beef bourguignon after an appetizer of hummus and naan. The salad had the perfect amount of dressing - I don't like my lettuce drowned in dressing - and topped with perfectly seasoned handmade croutons. We ended our meal with a shared creme brulee that was so delicious I had to order another for just myself! We could not have asked for a better dining experience. This was our favorite restaurant during our nearly week long stay in El Paso.
