The food was not as great as I remember it being, but service was excellent.
Great waiter! Very pleasant restaurant
Hoping management figures this out...we made a reservation for a New Year's Eve dinner...place was half full...waiter messed up my order, but did nothing to resolve what he said was his fault...dropped off check quietly and went about his business...should have done something (comp a drink at least)...this place is usually happening....not tonight...which was sad to see.
Good food and service, cocktail safe advice was not too sweet and just boozy enough. Tables not too close so during covid times felt safe.
We have a great quiet Tuesday evening dinner. The brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese were awesome. My husband had the chicken fried steak and said it was also really good.
Food was so so for the price. We had a great server who was very helpful, we just didn’t take his advice.
Between us, we tried the grilled cheese, patty melt, club sandwich, and the burger. All were good choices, although the burger received a 'just meh' vote. The fries were delicious! The service was okay - I say this because she was friendly and mostly on time with drinks, however the sun was glaring in our eyes, and no solution was offered. 2 of us had to either duck or use the menu to shield our faces. If you have windows facing the sun, consider some sort of blinds. I would go back but be very picky about where I sit.
the server was not good. we ordered apps and while waiting she randomly came by and took our plates and never brought knew ones. my friend asked for a recommendation on a meal and she replied "whatever you usually like" i asked for a side of avocado for my breakfast and was given guacamole. my friend also received his food cold. I'm normally not a person to leave a review but this place is somewhere i wouldn't return to.
Our server was excellent and the ambiance was perfect for our business conversation. We both had the classic burgers & we prefer different temperatures or doneness. This is often screwed up but The Porch got it right!
Great service, our server was excellent, funny, engaged, every thing one would expect. Food was also excellent. Tomato soup with the patty melt was a hit. Beer braised onions on the melt. First rate.
Amazing time with the family. Food and drinks were good and reasonable.
We sat outside on the patio and it was really nice. The street traffic was a bit obnoxious at times, lots of angry drivers it seemed. However, this was something minor!
The cheese and spinach dip appetizer was absolutely delicious and the entrees were great too!
Excellent service and food. Favorites at our table were the short rib and the Buttermilk Chicken Salad.
Lovely experience. Four adults and a toddler and all accommodated nicely. Food fresh and delicious. Appropriately attentive service
We had the short ribs and the salmon. Both were excellent!
The server was great..
Miss the sliders, that is why we came.
The steak was cooked perfectly. I wish we were given a steak knife and not a butter knife with our meal. Overall good food and value.
Been there a lot in the past. This dinner was disappointing
Everything was outstanding, as usual. This visit was on a slower Tuesday night, so the noise level was very comfortable. The food was great and the service was excellent as well - even ordered desert and it was outstanding - a gooey butter cake - wow !
Will definitely visit again.
Great food, great service! Way to noisy to sit in the patio for a birthday lunch. Sounded like we were sitting in a freeway!
Consistently good food and service. Courteous staff and easy reservations and parking. A real gem.
The food is good but it's a limited menu. Still overall a great experience.
The food was excellent and our waiter friendly, without being over-bearing. We had the grilled cheese sandwich with charred leek soup(soup of the day) and tomato soup. The Brussel sprouts with bacon and parmesan were especially good. There are lots of windows and the ambiance felt very open and warm. The booth seats were comfortable and clean.
I had the grain bowl salad and it was very bland. I had a grain bowl before that was quite tasty. Was there a hot version before? Either way, I remember it being very good and this was bland and not something that I would order again or would inspire me to return to The Porch.
Very great service and pet friendly. I would come again!
Service was a little slow but other than that it was great!!!
Food was great, but overpriced. Quite an expensive chicken sandwich. I would highly recommend the cornbread! Sitting outside was nice and protected by a tent. Will be back, for drinks especially.
I enjoyed it. The service was really good. The food was even better
The food quality our last couple visits has declined. Bianca, our server, was very nice, friendly, efficient and made the experience better. We ordered the gooey butter cake for dessert which we’ve had before and this was entirely different this time. Weird texture and taste. Bianca took it off of the check without me asking because she knew it was not satisfactory to us—this is a good employee! I ordered the stroganoff and it is was okay from a taste standpoint, but it had very little short rib beef…mostly onions and noodles. My wife got her usual (fried chicken Cobb salad) and she noted the chicken was no longer like chicken strips, but more like little pieces. Again, just okay—none of our items met expectations we had for choosing The Porch for dinner.
The food wasn’t good at all
Amazing service, food was horrible. I don’t say that lightly, but I spent $130 for a few drinks, an appetizer, 2 entrees, and the food was a 1/10. Must have changed chefs, really disappointed.
Awesome food and service!
Service was fantastic! We went on a busy Saturday night, our table was ready for our 7:30 reservation, the servers were very attentive, drinks and food were both fantastic!
I love The Porch. Have been coming for years. Today the service from the bar to our waiter was just terrible. The bartender barely spoke to us. The waiter barely said anything as well. I get that service is hard to come by these days but he didn’t seem too busy and was just very dismissive. Odd for someone who makes their money off the service they provide. I’ll still come back but I’ll make sure I don’t have him as a waiter next time.
The food was REALLY good!
This food is good but not OMG! good, except the short rib stroganoff which was outstanding.
Not what it used to be ! It used to be a great place for lunch.
The food was really poor quality, service took a long time.
Everyone was very friendly and nice but it could not make up for an awful lunch experience. I order the salmon burger which looked like a pre-made microwaveable patty from the supermarket.
Finally, next to my window there was 6 dead flies, I guess a good thing that it was not in my food but a big omission from an ambiance and cleanliness perspective.
We sat outside, and it made for good people watching. The outdoor dining is very close to the street. The frito misto was delicious, especially the zucchini. Steak frites were okay. The bone in pork was amazing.
One of my favorite spots for years. Love the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Cobb. Decided to visit for a birthday celebration. Solid service as always.
Salad was served differently than in the past and still good, but not quite what I expected. Shocked that the dessert (bread pudding) was served cold, had no caramel or whisky sauce and wasn’t comp’d for the occasion. Most importantly, who serves cold bread pudding?
Recently dined here for casual brunch and ordered their Stodg burger. Not worth $21 had zero flavor, or couldn’t tell with the wafting smells of sewage we had while dining in the bar area. Super quiet for a Sunday brunch. This place used to be so good and is no longer what it was. Staff was friendly was the only upside to the dining experience .
