My wife and I had a lovely meal here the other night. Excellent chowder, a really different presentation of pork, and delicious roast asparagus!
I have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the experience. The staff is very friendly and service is good. I ate on the early side so the noise level was low enough for a non shouted conversation. The high tops are good for that - at the edge of he main dining area. I had a nice boubon Manhatan, not short on the alcohol. I had a thick piece of Cod cooked flaky and moist and my wife said the lamb chops were very good.
Great food, service and atmosphere at a very reasonable price!
Nice location in an in with some views of downtown from the deck area seating. food was very good.
It was a wonderful evening out during a fantastic weekend in Ptown!
A getaway with my sister. 💕
Service is impeccable and the food is to die for. We try to come here every Valentine’s day. The view of the Pilgrim Monument can’t be beat. Great spot for a romantic dinner.
Valentines Day escape for us every year to the CrownePointe Inn...cool place in a cool town
Cibo di qualità sufficiente, costo altissimo
Second year celebrating New Year’s Eve at The Pointe. Excellent food and outstanding friendly and attentive service are a winning combination. I recommend The Pointe highly!
Always excellent. Service is friendly, food reliably well prepared, ambiance pleasant, price reasonable for what you get. We are regulars whenever we are in Ptown.
Have gone to the Pointe for dinner 5-6 times and food is always delicious and well prepared. They add enough new specials to make it interesting. and the assortment of desserts available is wonderful. only downfall is the meals are on the small side so if you have a hearty appetite, get two appetizers or eat something before you come to the restaurant.
It was a great place to go when you're visiting the area. You could stay there in one of the guest rooms, but dining there should be the 'must' on the list.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at the Pointe and it was worth every penny. It was a bountiful four courses with great cocktails & wine to match. We were able to relax downstairs where to hostess brought us cocktails until our table was ready. We were early. The food was delicious & enough for leftovers (which is what everyone wants the day after Thanksgiving). We would definitely visit again for a special occasion or just dinner.
All in all the service was terrible starting with the phone call to confirm the reservation. The gentlemen that I spoke to on the phone was short, and couldn’t be bothered to explain what the limited menu was on Thanksgiving Day. When entering the restaurant we were told to go to the bar and was confronted with a gentleman bar tender who was very unpleasant and said he was busy at the moment and made us feel very unwelcoming. We were approached by a lovely hostess who was very sweet and sat us at our table. The male server was the worst even more so than the bar tender. He was pretentious, short when he spoke, and worst of all passive aggressive with his rude comments. Example when asked to change to a second choice dessert you would have thought that I asked for his left arm, then later proceeded with a comment “you would think you would have eaten all your dessert since you asked for it”. My partner and I have been coming to p-town on a yearly basis twice a year for the past twenty years and have never been treated like this before in a restaurant. This was our first and unfortunately our last time to the Point restaurant.
This was our second time eating dinner at The Point and both times the food was delicious. We sat on the enclosed porch with a great view of Bradford Street. Service was excellent. We will plan another meal here on our next trip to Ptown.
The food, service, ambience were outstanding! I would recommend this place to everyone
This is a special place
in that is is quiet and charming.
Seems to attract a "quiet" crowd.
Top to bottom this The Pointe was outstanding. The ambiance, the service and most importantly the food was fantastic. I highly recommend having a meal at The Pointe.
Quiet, cozy and romantic. Food was simply executed and extremely flavorful. I am still thinking of the scallops.
The food is outstanding, but the service really sets the Pointe apart. The lobster gnocchi was fabulous. Lite with large chunks of lobster in a white wine, chive butter. The deviled egg appetizer turned basic party fare into something extraordinary with brown sugar bacon and arugula. Martinis to order and blue cheese stuffed olives to top it off. The staff works together seamlessly with everyone appearing to do everything in unison. For a really special evening grab a room and stay for the night. Not only will it be truly romantic, but you can enjoy a fabulous breakfast in the morning. Pastries, several delicious entrees to choose from, fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal all included with your stay. Highly recommended.
We had excellent service as well as a delicious meal. Would definitely go again
We enjoyed a tasty quiet well served dinner here. Good place to check out.
We had a wonderful meal at The Pointe and highly recommend it! Food, service and value were excellent. Sumptuous desserts.
The Pointe Restaurant is located in the historic Pointe Inn still furnished as the original Inn was. We were seated over a very beautiful garden. The food was delicious and well presented. The wait staff was courteous and efficient A must for dessert is the Chocolate Chip Cookies sandwich stuffed with Mint Chocotal Chip Gelato a sharing dessert.
Always a delight! Exceptional attention to detail. Service and leadership teams very professional.
The Pointe staff goes out of its way to ensure everyone has a great meal. While in Provincetown, this is one of the places we come back to every year for consistently good food and kind service.
The ambiance is nice, cozy and very good for table conversation, but maybe not a great option for a party of six. It was on a Saturday at 6:30 and even though they were accommodating, we were told that we could stay till 8:10 (we were 15 min. late but either way, we would have had to leave by 8:10 cause of the other reservations) - so we felt a little rushed overall.
The main courses (scallops, gnocchi with lobster and lobster ravioli) were vey good compared to the appetizers (calamari, escargot and tuna poke).
Wine we selected was pretty good as well.
The food and service are always really good. The view from the porch dining is beautiful in the evening especially once the monument lights up!
Fantastic food - desserts are amazing
As usual, food, service and drinks top notch. A must " go too" when in Provincetown.
This was the second time back within a month. We ordered the short ribs and the flounder special. The short ribs were delivered hot. The flounder was luke warm. The waiter told us the plate was warm when he brought it out. The plate should have been hot before he delivered it. Probably the ribs were ready before the flounder
Very good dinner! Had a special with buy one entree get second half price so very good value. Had stuffed flounder ( 2 entree s) , a risotto side, a dessert and bottle of wine for under $100.
Always amazing. One of my favorites in Provincetown.
Best food we had in Provincetown, excellent food and great atmo!
Absolutely incredible. Not a single bad word to say.
The "Early Bird" special offer along with the guarantee of having a delicious meal brings us to The Pointe over and over again....
We were a bit disappointed at the meal and the service at one of our favorite restaurants in Provincetown. We arrived with a reservation at 5:45 for a pre-theatre dinner and were seated immediately. Our friendly servers quickly brought water bread and menus and we ordered a bottle of wine. We gave our orders (two burgers, fries and an order of asparagus) to our server before 6:00pm and then we watched and waited as folks who arrived after us enjoyed their dinners. Our burgers arrived 45 minutes later, around 6:45. We asked for 'medium' burgers; they were flavorful but very, very, very well done. The fries were 'OK'; the asparagus was delicious. We asked for more bread, which never came and our friendly server never came around to pour our wine. Both minor issues, but both mirrored our less than great dinner. We will return as we do enjoy the atmosphere and, in the past, both the food and service were always excellent, but this was not a memorable evening.
The restaurant is run by a delightful South African couple who are real professionals.... warm, engaging and knowledgeable.
The food was good, but not exceptional, and probably on the pricey side.
This was our first visit to Ptown, and I think the idea of 'fine dining' - which this restaurant purports to offer - in this very special, historic seaside town on the Cape is a little out of place. I suggest rather getting a delicious lobster somewhere less formal, preferably with a view!
Food was nicely presented but not well executed. Our halibut was overcooked and dry. For the price paid, the quality was quite low. However, the servers were nice and the aesthetics were pleasing.
