The Pointe Restaurant
Always dependably great! We have never been disappointed by the Pointe.
Really miss the manager Michelle the place is just not the same
We’ve been twice for dinner and enjoyed immensely both times. It’s on my list of Favorites!!!
Our new favorite place for special occasions! Can't wait to see you in June.
P Town was deserted (first weekend of March) but this beautiful place was open and ready to serve! We were in PTown for a night away from our kids. We are the proud parents of a disabled 7 year old who we love but our nights away are precious. The food was great—-even the music was great! My Cherry Rita was a bit strong on the alcohol and light on the flavoring. My steak was served in a bowl rather than on a plate making it difficult to cut. It was super tender but the knife hit the edges of the bowl.
I often do not write reviews, however this was a wonderful restaurant! First off, our server was superb! The atmosphere was inviting and romantic. Delicious from appetizer to dessert. My husband and I both ordered the filet, it was so good we talked about if for days. I can honestly say that if you are a fan of lemon. You MUST order the lemon pie!! Oh my goodness....best ever! A little slice of heaven.
Excellent meals, great service
You can’t leave Provincetown without experiencing The Point Restaurant! Whether you enjoy a cocktail in their uniquely intimate bar, share a romantic dinner in the antique appointed porch dining room or a family reunion in their main dining room, your experience will be sublime. The eclectic menu offers fresh local seafood, steaks, vegan and gourmet delights at very reasonable prices. The staff is experienced and most professional. My spouse and I loved our Valentine experience. We felt pampered and welcomed by the graceous owners and even introduced to the head chef. My appetizer of Buffalo meatballs was a savory delight for two diners. Although I usually order their seafood or meat I ordered vegan: Cauliflower Steak which was accompanied by roasted multicolored carrots and maple glazed Brussels sprouts! Beautiful to behold and incredible to consume. My French 75 cocktail was impeccable! You will definitely enjoy a reasonable, fine dining experience at The Point! Guests seem so happy and satisfied you might make new friends! Thanks for a wonderful Valentine experience.
Perfect as always - there is nothing more to say!!!
We always enjoy our visits to The Pointe. One of the nicest places in Ptown for that special evening.
Great New Year's Eve meal. Great service, atmosphere and very creative menu
One of our favorite spots in Provincetown. Food and service are consistently good and the wine list is both interesting and affordable. It is a great spot to enjoy a leisurely dinner with friends - close to town center but more spacious and comfortable than many of the smaller bistros on Commercial where diners are very often packed in cheek to jowl.
Their weekend getaway package (spa + dinner) is a great deal for a special occasion weekend.
We ordered a plain burger well with nothing on it just the meat and bun. The burger came out medium and had cheese, and lettuce, tomatoes and onion. The server fixed the order after it was brought to his attention but someone should be checking the orders before they get to the guest.
The Pointe Restaurant was fantastic, the food was awesome, and the service was great. Had one dinner and two breakfasts there on a recent stay in PTown.
The only negative, and this really isn't the restaurants fault, was some of the patrons were rather loud and didn't care who heard their opinions on world events (especially since they were opposite mine). It became a turn off after a while and interfered with the enjoyment of the meal and lovely restaurant. This happened at all three meals. Obviously nothing the Pointe can do about that, but the place is 'cozy' so you are close to others.
We celebrated a family birthday at The Pointe following the local fireworks. Everything was wonderful and was just perfect for a cozy family occasion.
Host very welcoming, service very rushed, food nothing special, atmosphere nice.
Just wish there was a nice dinner salad or sometime similar on the menu (I don’t eat seafood)
Fabulous as always
I had a $100 gift certificate to use - the main reason for my first visit to this restaurant. Our apps were good - the clam chowder among the best I have had. However, my lamb chops came out overcooked for lamb - grey. The waiter was inexperienced and did not ask, we figured, but the default for lamb is always pink. They apologized and replaced it. It was fine the second time. When I went to pay the approximately $300 bill for 4, including a bottle of wine, I included the gift certificate. As I recall the conversation with the manager or owner, I said to use what was on the card. When the final bill arrived, only $60 was used - cannot remember if the card was returned or not. I want to believe this was an honest mistake, but sending the lamb back and then the check back was not a good first visit to this restaurant. I am not sure I will be back - so many good choices in Provincetown.
Great experience; excellent staff, relaxing setting & very good preparations. Having more than one vegetable side would make it even better!
Delightful evening! Everything in Provincetown comes with a price, but at The Pointe it is far less painless to pay it. The food is well-prepared and served by friendly, gracious staff. The setting is warm and intimate, yet not snobby. We have been there before and will most certainly return!
What a wonderful place to have Thanksgiving dinner!
We had a table by a window with a nice view. All courses were plentiful in fact we took home turkey we were to full to eat. The butter squash soup was new to us and was wonderful. Nice experience for Thanksgiving.
We dined at the Pointe Thanksgiving day. Although the prix fixe meal was pricey, it was GREAT. Butternut squash bisque was slightly sweet and blessedly hot (20 degrees outside), the pear and goat cheese salad was perfectly dressed, and the salmon (with mashed potatoes, dressing, cranberry sauce, and green beans) was nicely prepared and beautifully plated. Thanks to the kitchen and wait staff and bartender! Sorry you had to work.
The chocolate chip cookie with mint ice cream sandwich was the best dessert we’ve ever tasted. The lobster Gnocchi was also fantastic, as was the clam chowder. We were the last ones there and the staff didn’t appear horribly bothered by our late dinner. Thanks!
The Sunday Fall special dinner is an amazing value
Second time dining here. Terrific experience both times. One of the Provincetown highlights.
Superb, good service, great view of the monument
Always a great meal and friendly professional staff.
Food was tasty and well prepared- largest portions were dessert. Server was friendly. Would have liked to see more than a single vegetarian option of rather over-priced and under-creative tofu.
Very cozy interior. Romanitic atmosphere. Limited menue, but all the right selections to suit most foodies.
Good food, a little pricey, but excellent service and a great historic setting with a view!
Repeat customers. We love it. Fabulous, once again!
Shawn greeted us upon are arrival. Very nice. Michelle our server was outstanding. My wife had the lobster special and I had the grilled scallops. The food and wine were the best. We sat on the enclosed patio overlooking a garden. They served the dessert for my wife’s birthday on a special plate. We enjoyed the dinner from beginning to end
We had a delicious meal at the Pointe. The ambiance was great and service was excellent
Gorgeous view and amazing service to top off delicious food
Ambience and food was very good...service was indifferent...next visit we will have dinner at the bar.
Having heard good things, we made a reservation and went to The Pointe. We were seated immediately on a Sunday night and had a sweet server who brought over the visual menu on a tablet, which is great for knowing portion size and tempting the taste buds. The deviled eggs with bacon were a creamy good extravagance. The scallops were prepared expertly and not overly salted as many do. The lemon custard cake was creamy and perfectly tart, with a lightly sweet graham cracker crust - the perfect ending. Exquisite dinner and excellent service.
Both my wife and I had the filet mignon and it was so delicious, tender, bursting with flavor that more than once I closed my eyes just to savor the wonderful preparation. She started with a delicious clam chowder and I with the cobb salad: perfectly dressed, balanced, light. By the end of the meal, when our server asked about dessert, we were just so pleasantly sated that we reluctantly passed.
This spot is not to be missed.
It was our first time at the restaurant although we’d heard much about it. It surpassed our expectations- a real gem - will recommend it to friends. Can’t wait to return
