   The food and ambience was top rate but we had a server whose first night was ours. He was very sweet but he made a lot of mistakes like bringing a well done filet when it was ordered as rare. Issues with the check, and giving the wrong receipt, spilling water. Management was apologetic but why a restaurant of this caliber let a rookie loose on a busy holiday weekend I'll never understand. He should have worked a few nights when it was less busy.

   This restaurant is located in the Crowne Pointe Inn. A great place, with dining inside, on the covered patio or the outside patio. We chose the covered patio. Our server Breckin was knowledgeable and very kind. We shared the clam chowder and fried calamari, both excellent. My fresh lobster with pappardelle in lobster butter was just superb. My husband had the excellent grilled salmon. The vibe was sophisticated yet low key. Highly recommended!

   As we had just attended a wine club social at Truro Vineyards, we had planned dinner at The Point Restaurant as it very close. We have stayed there many times and always enjoyed both the food as well as the hospitality of the entire staff. Our meal did not disappoint. The waiter made suggestions based on the specials as well as items on the menu whereas most restaurants only push the specials. My husband had the lemon cod -- three pieces topped with a light dressing. I tried a bite and we both agreed that it was excellent. Even the little carrots were wonderful. Since I was full of cheese and other crudites from Truro, I just ordered the chopped salad with an apple cider vinaigrette dressing. WoW! I was a meal in and of itself! For dessert, we chose our all-time favorite that they have been offering for years: David's Chocolate Cookie. They first bake and freeze wonderful chocolate chip cookies. Then, they make them into sandwiches with green mint chocolate chip ice cream. The cookie is served with a small pitcher of chocolate sauce which was a new addition. We asked to share the cookie and it was served already sliced in half on two plates dusted with confectioners' sugar. It was a great ending to our meal. We ate out on the porch that overlooks Bradford Street and their lovely garden dining area already in full bloom! We will definitely return as it is still an excellent choice for dinner!

   Amazing vegan plate here at The Pointe Restaurant! Do not sleep on the cauliflower steak. Partner had the evening’s special and raved about it. Pricey but 100% worth it — it’s an amazing meal in the center of Provincetown’s electric buzz.

   Delightful and truly delicious. From the greeting at the door to our server's knowledge, attentiveness, and sense of humor, the service was exceptional. The hearts of romaine was middling but everything else was exquisite. The escargots under puffed pastry are captivating - you'll use the spoon they bring with it to enjoy every drop. At 10 oz, the filet is perfectly proportioned, and cooked -- we asked for it medium-well which perturbs most kitchens but thankfully not here. The pappardelle with butter-poached lobster is every bit as rich as it sounds - a standout dish. The Bright Cosmo absolutely is (it's the grapefruit juice), but the by-the-glass Cabernet was a disappointment. We were also sad that on an 70-degree day the patio tables weren't in use (though the umbrellas were up) -- the porch was closed in and the space felt a bit tight.

   Very confusing experience. Once seated, could not identify a waitperson . There was quite a bit of flutter on the floor with staff going from dining spot to dining spot; but for at least 15 min. we were completely ignored, and not sure who was our waiter. It's embarrassing for the diner, and casts a shadow over the experience. At the prices charged, it is reasonable to expect professional service. A drink order should come shortly after seating. Once our waiter gave us his attention, the service was fine. The wine pour a bit stingy, especially since it was their highest price 'by the glass' offer. The food, I am sorry to say, was poor. The hangar steak had bits had many pieces of grizzle; the chocolate cookie for two could have come from a supermarket. No taste at all. Should you visit during a time of the year when this is the only venue in town, order from the bottom of the menu; the simplest item the safest. This is a nice spot, the room is very pretty and the ambience is warm. The owners need to up the skill of the kitchen staff, hirer more staff, or simplify the menu.

    "Special Occasion" prices with average to good food. Staff (they shared responsibilities- hate that) was good but inconsistent depending who was waiting on you at that moment. Small dining rooms + loud conversations = we could hear everyone (especially the annoying ones). Atmosphere was ok, needs more warmth to its dining areas. It wasn't bad but expected a LOT more for the money spent and the way they advertise themselves.

    I hadn't been here in over 15 years, and I was pleasantly surprised at the improvement (who knows how many changes in owners). Great service. Good food (slightly limited but varied menu). And the view from the solarium is quintessential Ptown: The monument, town hall, and (that night) a just-past-full moon. The outdoor patio also looked amazing (if it hadn't been November).

    We loved the food here and the ambiance. The service was excellent for the most part but one of us had their drink forgotten (we were waiting to do a celebratory toast) and didn't get it until well into appetizer, but they were apologetic about it - it happens. I did find a foreign object in my food and they took half off.

    Host couldn't find our reservation (his oversight; it was duly made on Open Table and on his list). He did what he could to make us feel unworthy of being seated, even after I produced the confirmation in my phone. His demeanor was haughty, even borderline hostile. The servers were hurried and dismissive. They tossed the dessert menu at us and were demonstrably happy we didn't want to order dessert. We were made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Couldn't wait to get out. Food is nothing special.

    Not on Commercial Street so it was quiet. We ate outside and it was a very pleasant evening mid September. Food was delicious, we both had the Halibut. Waitstaff was attentive.
