Young waiting staff in restaurant lack leadership and initiative. Even had to go and ask for cutlery. Also needed to ask for drinks and table water. Very poor, . Food was very good, albeit very expensive, given the poor service.

Lovely, friendly staff. Most awful food. What a shame considering it is the most beautiful location. The chicken caeser salad was chicken from a cheap supermarket, same for the caeser sauce. Parmasean cheese was hard as if it had been left out for a week. So disappointing to go all that way and have such an awful, expensive meal

Food not brilliant, pretty tasteless. Overrun by noisy uncontrolled children. All new staff, who were very polite not trained. Both Haven & Harbour Heights best position in Poole pity about the rest

While the view is amazing the food used to be really good but it was pretty awful. The seafood starter comprised frozen Crab and crayfish. The steak was also frozen, grey and overcooked. My medium rare steak was very well done. From a food safety perspective we'll done was probably the best option. Gritty leeks accompanied the well done frozen steak and a very dodgy tasting mushroom. The sauce comprised a ready made veal jus concentrate which was lumpy and hadn't been diluted. I suspect the chef lacks experience and skill. The staff were very inexperienced and generally clueless and lacking basic hospitality skills both in terms of attitude and service (apart from one older member of staff). The location is incredible and I have some very happy memories of wonderful times at The Haven. Sadly I won't be returning. The Haven needs to get a much better chef and have a clean sweep in terms of the staff generally.

Quite Sunday morning wet and windy view outside. Was a perfect early lunch that we required. Staff very attentive

As always a lovely hotel and views from the terrace but the food and service is abysmal..very poor and overpriced. £15 for a dried up sandwich with limp side salad. £10 for half a glass of wine. Awful coffee, half an hour's wait for a scoop of sorbet ! Unfortunately this has been my experience here once too often .

No haddock so chose light bite red onion marmalade quiche, mixed leaves and fries. Dessert frangipani and almond cake with pistachio ice cream. The cake was like a cold hard brick. My husband had chicken pie and waiter said comes with no potatoes so he ordered fries. It came with potatoes and mixed veg. We shares the frangipani. Bill for this and2 J2Os the bill was £64. The main attraction is the position of the restaurant overlooking the chain ferry but sadly was raining so had to eat inside.
