Consistant good food and service. Parking can be tricky.
My food came out just a tad passed lukewarm and not as I ordered. I asked for a baked potato and received fries. It took quite a while for it waitress to circle back around. What restaurant doesn’t serve cocktail sauce with shrimp? I didn’t get any of that either, seems odd. The baked potato, once I got it, was hot, but I got the worlds smallest oat of butter and dollop of sour cream. Must have been the last of it for the weekend. There’s no way I could’ve gotten more before the potato got cold so I just ate what I had and lived with it. While our waitress was nice, (not really 18% tip nice) I didn’t feel like any of the other staff really had any serving etiquette. The manager passed us the plates rather than placing them on the table. The bus boy asked “you done with that?”, like he was picking up my school lunch tray. Also, there is no menu for desserts so you have to have an imagination when the waitress recites it to you as best as she can remember. Everything was either described as “something, something kinda like a tart, but I’m not sure if it’s a tart really?”
For $75, I had higher expectations. Pretty disappointed.
Food was ok for brunch... service was lacking at 1st but they eventually got it together and made up for it. My husband would like to return.
Sat outside at the Point for dinner. Deck is lovely and has large TV and bar. Service was OK- our server brought wrong beer and didn't leave onions off a dish as requested. Always like the wood fired pizzas at the Point, food is consistent and does not disappoint. Lovely neighborhood restaurant.
My wife and I heard so much about the Point and their Sunday Brunch, we decided to go see for ourselves. We went early so arrived at 11:15 am. Immediately was seated and waitress (Alex) was very friendly and attentive. We were given tickets to order omelets and waffles if desired and the rest of buffet was walk-up style. The food was very good, only complaint was potatoes with onions was a bit under-cooked. Potatoes needed to be slices thinner but were not inedible. Salmon, cheese grits, great link sausages, waffles so, so fluffy they melt in your mouth. The decor needs to be revamped, though...Carpet is very worn and in bad need of replacement. Also noticed our salt/pepper shakers were dirty. Otherwise, for the cost the food was very good! I plan to go back again. Go early, once church is over (about Noon) the place is swamped!
My husband and I met another couple there. Our table was ready when we arrived and our server was prompt and attentive the entire time we were there. Our meal was delicious.
Fun place for a meal. Loud, comfortable, wide selection.
I have eaten at The Point Restaurant on at least 5 occassions, and the food has always been great. Even with large parties, the food is always delivered to all at the table in a timely manner, and everyone had good things to say about it. The server was friendly and responsive. This time, they forgot to stuff our martini olives with blue cheese, however, when noted, they immediately brought a bowl of blue cheese stuffed olives! I will always recommend The Point.
To start off the server didn't know that they could sell Bloody Mary's at that time, secondly she didn't give us slips to order waffles or omelets, third she was extremely slow and the places wasn't that busy. She came by our table 2 maybe 3 times with my glass sitting on the edge waiting to get refilled, until finally I had to ask for one. Last, I had to give my card and bill to another server to give to her. I think she had to new or either a few weeks in.
This was our first time to the breakfast buffet and it was delicious. They have made to order waffles, eggs, and omelets, but you don't have to wait in line to get them, you fill out a check list the waitress gave us, which she takes it to the kitchen and then brings your food when its ready. Ehat a nice change from standing in line for a long time period. Will definitely go back!
Outstanding brunch, quality food, large selection, incredibly reasonable price.
Good food but was very noisy!
Food is great, service was great! Need some sort of sound proofing on the ceiling. Noise level made it unsatisfactory.
The Point at Glenwood was exceptionally good. The service was great and we will definitely visit again!
I had a friend visiting from NYC and we all wanted to get together for Brunch but that is generally tricky given our varied tastes. We ended up having the Brunch Buffet at the Pointe and it was GREAT. Everyone was happy with the selection and no one left hungry.
Great pizza, mahi dish was very good. My wife is not big eater...she loves Sirachai Shrimp appetizer...says it is plenty of food for meal for moderate eater. Portions are large and menu is quite varied
Not clean; greasy.
Food tasted like yesterday’s left overs.
Felt like I was served by the mafia in New Jersey or something
The food was great. They had a table waiting for us. More of a casual place. They have a good size bar but a restaurant quality menu. Parking is tough because of location but still a great place to go.
We live in the neighborhood and had eaten here once many years ago. I can’t recall why we never returned but we tried it before the movie at the Rialto the other night. It was actually a very pleasant experience. Our server was excellent. The menu is huge , which made me a bit nervous, but everything we had was really good and fresh . We were very pleased and since a neighborhood -y place we loved and frequented closed a while back we were on the lookout for another place as our go-to casual eatery.
It was a bit noisy as it was packed and it maybe could use a little sprucing up but overall it really fit the bill. Lots of wine choices and a decent size pour. 2of us had the chicken pot pie, excellent and I had the wedge salad with grilled shrimp also very nice. There is a wood burning oven. The roast chicken looked terrific. It’s a menu that goes from A-to Z so no problem finding something . It was super crowded with people going to the movies so I would suggest a reservation to make sure you get seated. It’s that kind of place... popping in for good food even several times a week. Thanks, The Point for a very nice experience! See you soon!
Always love the point. Great food and drink and friendly service in a neighborhood location. Check out their pizza buffet during the week!
The service was good and the food enjoyable . Parking is a little difficult
First visit and won’t be our last! We had a great dining experience at The Point at Glenwood. The food was great! We tried several appetizers - all very good. Build your own pizza, fish wrapped in parchment paper and a wood fired steak. The wait staff was very attentive, food was prompt and prepared properly. Great experience!
Food, wine, and service were all excellent. It was a bit loud for my taste but I think it was a bit busier than usual tonight for some reason. I will most definitely go back.
Our group enjoyed the atmosphere, loved the menu options, the food was very good and service was great!
We originally made reservations for 7 people. We called that day to increase it to 10 and they were very accommodating. We then called back and asked if we could increase to 14. We were told they were going to be full and unfortunately, they couldn't do a table for 14. When we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised that they had a table set for 14 of us! It was great because our plan was to just split up and have some of our party sit at the bar . .we didn't need to. Would definitely recommend!
Diverse menu. Burgers to pizza to seafood. Enjoyed the sesame encrusted tuna!
The brunch was nice, but some of the food was cold and seemed like the staff was not entirely prepared when they opened. The person on the omelet station was yelling and cursing and stating he does not get paid enough to do this. I would try time again once they have worked out all of the kinks.
Always good, very friendly. Great spot! Dress is casual to business casual. Kids can make their own pizza.
We had dinner here on New Year's Eve. My husband and I both ordered steaks and they were both extremely over-done.
I made a last minute reservation and they held our table until the movie next door ended! Thanks! Everyone had good meals and drinks- definitely returning in the near future
The restaurant had a warm atmosphere and our waitress was friendly and personable. The food was very good. Overall a great experience. I'll be going back.
Enjoyable dining experience. There are menu options for everyone and everything we ordered was tasty and presented well. Service was attentive and friendly. Would recommend for any occasion or casual dining. Fun neighborhood gem.
This is my second time visiting this restaurant. The food was great both times as well as the service. Great value!
Family friendly. Easy. Good beer. Enjoyed the casual atmosphere and variety of food. Pizza a little on spicy side.
Great place. Definitely going back! Wood fired food smelled great and service was super accommodating!
We were there on a Saturday night at 7pm. Very noisy! very distracting. Food just ok for the price. We had heard good things about the Restaurant, but were disappointed.
Excellent neighborhood restaurant that is unpretentious with very good food, a wide selection, and a consistency that can be counted on.
Always good casual food. Their brick oven pizza is outstanding.
Our waitress readily addressed our concern that our French fries were cold, not hot as well. Very pleased with how she handled this problem. We shall return.
Irish Nachos not to be missed. Wood-fired shrimp amazing. Bourbon pecan pie totally decadent.
