the plimoth Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I had a fabulous dinner! Elise and the entire staff were incredibly warm and provided wonderful recommendations. The kale salad and pork rillette starters were fabulous, and our main dishes of romanesco pilaf and brisket were as well. A lovely and very comfortable neighborhood feel. Highly recommend The Plimoth! Thank you the special dining experience.
A wonderful dining experience! From the greeting at the door to the heartfelt thank you for coming, everything was perfect. My son's birthday was recognized with a bubbly toast (and ginger beer thoughtfully provided for me, the non-drinker) on the house. Mitch, our waiter, explained the menu with so much knowledge and passion for the food that we wanted to try everything. Service was top notch -- attentive, but non-intrusive. The food proved above our expectations. The recommened cauliflower and turnip gratinee was excellent, as were our entrees, the duck confit and crispy chicken. We could not choose between the maple gelato or pot de creme for desert, and were glad we had them both. We will return!
We have had only fine meals at The Plimoth, and this was one of the best. The shrimp and mussels in a lobster broth was intensely flavorful, with perfectly cooked seafood. We love the use of herbs and fruit to complement and bind flavors without over-reliance on salt. As always Mitch provided flawless service and recommendations for just the right wines.
Plimoth continues to prove to be an outstanding dining experience. Each and every time we have spent an enjoyable evening dinner there, it is truly a delight. The variety, the unique and tasteful preparations all contribute to a wonderful event.
The servers are all one could hope for. They are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I could continue to go on at length about The Plimoth, but suffice to say, try it and you'll become a believer.
The Plimoth hit it outta da park again with a fantastic multi course meal only matched by the service of Mitch, Denver's best waiter. We shared four courses highlighted by buckwheat crepes with kraut, housemade cheese caraway and dill, the infamous cauliflower/turnip gratin and a fantastic duck confit with killer bean ragout. Every dish was great and Mitch paced the meal perfectly. Wine was too cold and list overall is pricy with only a few choices under $50. But overall experience was fantastic.
Contemporary cuisine in a small boutique setting with unique cocktails and many inventive food offerings. The entrees change with the seasons fairly frequently making this a great place to visit again and again. The service was the best I have experienced - not too much or too little. Not an inexpensive venue, but worth it for a special occasion.
My wife and I scored a rare weekday babysitter and thought, Where to dine? The Plimoth had a table, and how lucky for us! It’s a delightful neighborhood eatery, relaxed but refined. The minimalist, industrial-ish interior was a great backdrop for unfussy but meticulous dishes. The wine pairings were in-target too. What a treat!
We celebrated a birthday at the Plimoth and they made the occasion very special! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was great, larger portions than most places these days and a unique locally sourced menu that's always changing. Someone at our table also had a food allergy and the staff was VERY accommodating!
The ambiance is very cozy and intimate, not many tables and not too loud.
This is more of a neighborhood gem, there aren't many other places around it to walk to, so plan on spending your evening at the Plimoth! We will definitely be back.
Plimoth is a great spot. Food is very good although not out of this world. Menu is unique and thoughtful but failed to completely wow. Service was wonderful. Great vibe. Depending on how you like to dine I found it difficult to fully enjoy as a party of 2. You are warned that parties of 2 may be sat at the bar or bar style looking out the window. I made a request to have a table if possible because I’m pregnant and I wasn’t sure how comfortable I would be at the bar. The restaurant accomdated this request which was great. Downfall to that was you are basically sitting on top of another table for two. The tables are separated by on a few inches. So, depends on who winds up sitting next to you because you are listening to their conversation the whole time. It’s a great unique spot overall and the staff is very pleasant eager to please making sure you are enjoying the experience. Would certainly return but not at the top of my list.
Delicious meal again at Plimoth! I love this little neighborhood gem. The seasonal menus are always so incredibly delicious, and I love how there is something different to try on the menu every time. We were a bit delayed in getting seated, but they totally made up for it by offering us a free app and a free drink. We'll be back!
