We always enjoy our meals at the Plimoth and came for a special occasion. Melody was attentive (as always), the food was delicious, and we throughly enjoyed our evening
We have been going to the Plimoth since it opened and generally loved it but this was not a great experience. Undercooked fish, not ready for us when we got there, and really high prices. Disappointing.
Have heard wonderful things about Plimoth and our expectations were well met! The whole experience was just spot on. Thank you!
Service was great - food was great! Will definitely be going back.
Plimoth was a wonderful treat. We made reservations on Open Table for Valentine's Day a few months in advance. When the big day came, my husband wasn't able to join, so I ended up taking my daughter and young grandkids. Bear in mind, this is an intimate and pretty fancy restaurant! My grandchildren were very well behaved, but even so, the staff were incredibly nice and respectful. A few times, the staff played peekaboo and waved to the kiddos when passing by. The kids loved looking into the open kitchen as well. Our food was delicious, our favorite being the Brussel sprouts. The desserts were SO yummy and not too sweet! We had the apple tart and chocolate hazelnut pot de creme. Both were different and complex and a perfect ending to a lovely meal. We will definitely be back sans kids in the near future! And just to be clear, there is no kid menu and I wouldn't call this a particularly kid friendly restaurant, but we were treated so well considering the circumstances, and we very much appreciated it!
Always amazing food, drinks and service! Friendly staff that are knowledgeable about food and wine paring. Incredible chefs that care!
The menu was small but innovative and delicious. We started with the faro appetizer. It was very different and very tasty. Too heavy for one but perfect for two. I had the vegetarian option, lentil stuffed Savoy cabbage with potatoes in a paprikas sauce with a little jewel of a red pickled egg. I loved it. My husband had the steak but instead of the ubiquitous asparagus and potatoes, it came with rutabaga and risotto, a delightful change. The dessert was milk chocolate pot de crepe. It was like having the best part of a creamy Black Forest cake with tart cherries and cream. We will return.
The food was great with great flavors and proper seasoning. Though, the service was so slow and poor that I would not go back
I’ve been coming here for 6 years and it’s always much anticipated and excellent. I’m sorry to say it was at best a 3.5 star this past Saturday- everything was mostly average from the service to food and weird bass coming from the speakers. I didn’t enjoy it like I normally do and that really disappoints :(
Yet another great experience at the Plimoth. Food was amazing and the service was awesome, as usual.
The Plimoth was lovely. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, but not suffocating. The food was wonderful and the service was great. We enjoyed our visit and would certainly come again!
Absolutely fantastic! My mother said she thought she had lost her taste buds, until she ate here, for her 84th birthday! We had lamb and chicken entrees, and lemon ice cream, and cheese desserts and everything was delicious! Also, the cocktails drinks and wine pairings were spot on. Can’t think of anything I would change. Wait staff was also very pleasant.
See you soon.
Plimoth has long established itself as our "go-to" restaurant. It never disappoints in terms of food and service which are always first-rate. I love the seasonal offerings, the staff's friendliness, and the unpretentious vibe of the whole place.
We had a great server and great food. Thank you so much for the Prosecco birthday toast! What a special little surprise. We really appreciated the attention and kindness. We will be back!
The food was good, floor plan decent but not amazing, service also pretty good… But for the price, I kind of expected something a little more exceptional. If I’m going to drop a few hundred dollars on a meal, I want something I definitely could not replicate at home.
Wonderful, quaint neighborhood joint with excellent food and an extensive drink list. Reservation highly recommended. Not cheap, but not crazy-expensive. A good "night out" place. We'll be back.
What a lovely evening and delicious food and cocktails! Will most certainly return!
Delicious small menu. The few times we have been we have ordered almost the entire menu amongst friends and every starter, main course and dessert is delicious. Well seasoned, perfectly cooked. The prices are a bit high but given its all delicious, its worth it!
Used to be one of my favorites. Seems to have lost some of its luster. Service was mediocre (slow and not so personable) and food was overpriced for what it was, i.e. $37 for chicken entree seemed excessive. Also, seems like a turnover in staff, so maybe attribute to some new hires. Will give it another go.
Such an amazing experience!!! Thank you, Plimoth!! I had a first date at your restaurant and I could not have had a better experience, from the kind hostess who put the flowers I brought in a cooler until our table was ready, to the server who brought us complimentary champagne to celebrate our time, to the delicious dinner and charming ambiance!! Best dinner and date in forever!!
Cocktails were good - but none could be ordered with egg whites
The loss of a star is due to the duck fat. I didn't expect a square of fat. Yes, they brought more crostini but that is too much - very little accompaniment with the fat. We ordered at the waitress's suggestion. Bad choice.
All the other food was very good and worth 5 stars. The vegetarian pasta was good but not imaginative.
As always, I had a great evening at The Plimoth. I was joined by two friends who had never been and we had an incredible time. Service, recommendations, beverages were impeccable. Only ding on food was that the NY Strip was very grisly.
Always amazing food and service. If you love chicken - there’s no better dish available!!! You will not regret it.
Always amazing! Great food and service in a cool space!
Best place in town!
Fantastic as always!
Great date spot! $150 for two drinks each (4), entrees (2), and dessert. Not an everyday thing for most, but worth the money. Great building and the staff was nice. Chefs know what they’re doing without a doubt. Will be back!
Great service from the hostess to the waitress to the manager. Food is always delicious and the wine was to our liking as well. Keep up the great work, Plimoth staff!
Excellent food made fresh with high quality ingredients, beautiful curated selection of drinks, professional, unobtrusive service, very pleasant atmosphere. My wife and I appreciate the small menu, to us it means the food is being freshly prepared. Lots of locally sourced ingredients. This is some of the best food in the metro area. We've been eating at Plimoth since the restaurant opened and it keeps getting better. Bravo!
Everything was great. The food, the vibe, the service. Bar seating along with tables was fine, but we enjoyed the bar seats by the window as they were a little more private.
My second year in a row going for New Years Eve dinner. Great staff, we really enjoyed Katie
This is am amazing restaurant that I have happily reviewed before. New Year's Eve, they served up a record number of patrons and shorted absolutely no one. Each server, Melody (like the music) and then, Katie...gave you all the attention necessary as though the place was not filled to capacity. You can cook Michelin starred food (which they do) and be served by some doke just putting in his/her time. Not so at Plimoth. They act like you are family and, "how can we help you." We often bring guests...equally impressed then they return with their guests!
The food is so delicious. Our table had the duck, crispy chicken and fruits de mer. They came out perfectly executed as tho nearly 80 people were not in the place! I wish they were in my backyard. I'd eat there every night on that delicious food and live to be 100!
Applause, applause to owner/chef...sous chef, servers delivering your food and servers taking your order. And oh, btw, the bar tender is a 10!
Very nice, casual neighborhood restaurant with great food. Cocktail menu had some awesome finds.
The food has deteriorated and the service was abysmal. This was one of our favorite Denver restaurants and based on this experience, we will take at least a 6 month break before we try it again. We wanted a slow dinner (at least the 2 hours the restaurant noted on its web site as what it expected a party of 4 to take for dinner), but were pressured to order all of our choices upfront (a sure way to make sure your dinning experience is not nicely paced), so, despite our better judgment, we ordered drinks and appetizers shortly after arriving and told the wait person we wanted to pace ourselves. Well, the appetizers arrived within 5 minutes and our drinks 15 minutes after that. It set a bad mood. Entrees were not up to par. All in all, it was not a pleasant dining experience and was a disappointment because of the many very pleasant meals we had enjoyed at the plimoth.
Great service. Fun cocktails.
Always excellent! Elevated dining in a casual neighborhood bistro environment. Go!
One of our favorites in Denver... the food is always great. It’s only 10 minutes from home... be prepared to spend $100pp with wine.
Excellent food and wine, nice ambiance.
