I made a reservation and my table was ready right away. After seating, the server was no where in sight for 20 minutes. After placing our order, my friend's drink came after 10 minutes and they forgot about mine. After another 15 minutes my drink came. Then after about 30 minutes our meals came. The food was acceptable. It was a Saturday, but not all the tables were full, so I don't see why service was so poor. I wouldn't have tried this restaurant if it wasn't for the organic selections.

I made a reservation for 2 and my lunch date got caught in a traffic accident on 280. She was not able to get to the restaurant until over an hour after the initial reservation. The staff was kind and did not make me feel unwelcome occupying a table for over 2 hours.

Have eaten here 2x before and aside from a noisy room when full, have been happy with service/drinks/food.
On our last occasion, I ordered the vegan burger (I think the Cali-With avocado) and requested vegan please-No cheese.
Upon receiving my order, there was a big glob of cheese. No biggie, mistakes happen. I sent the burger back and to my shock, all the cooks did was scrape off some of the cheese and remove a good bit of the burger as well. huh?!!?!? Sloppy to say the least.
Too bad as this place is fun to eat at. Sorry to say that the food falls far short.

We received a gift certificate from friends, but never ate at The Plant. We arrived at 5:15PM. There were approximately six patrons inside when we arrived for an early dinner. It looked like a nice place.

We were seated and given our menus along with a glass of water. A few minutes later, our waitress come to our table to inform us that HALF the menu was not available: no pizzas and half of the daily specials were not available. How can you open for dinner with no food to serve?

My wife's red curry dish/with chicken was not good. The curry was not a red curry sauce as described in the menu. It was dry paste that looked like it was scraped off of the side of the pan. There was a scant amount of chicken as well and her rice was luke warm. My wasabi burger had a good flavor; however, it should have been seared to hold it together, as well as too make it warm. Oh yeah, $8.00 for two small shiitake spring rolls. Sorry not going back.

The lunch fare was mediocre and the service was slow despite it not being particularly busy for a Friday afternoon. Thankfully, the company was good, which made a just okay lunch a much better experience. Their weekend brunch menu is much better.

never disappointed...though the service in burlingame plant is much better than others. from the hostess to the server...fantastic. and never ever disappointed with the food. always fresh and healthy.

Great food and excellent service. We had a couple hiccups with our brunch drink orders, and the waiter took care of it immediately. Great neighborhood brunch/lunch place. Wish you had a location in Los Gatos. Oysters, full bar, organic food. Love it!

The Plant locations in San Francisco are much better than the Burlingame location, which makes me sad as I used to live in SF and now I live on the Peninsula. I wish Peninsula restaurants could figure out how to replicate the service and food in SF. The food is mediocre at best at this location which is a bummer as there really aren't any other places like it in the area.

I generally like the food here, as with other of their outlets, but the service was below par on this visit, probably because our server was new to the job. Food came out irregularly and a side dish was forgotten. Quality of food is adequate, given the menu choices, and it is nice to have so many vegetarian offerings available, but not really a destination type place. It is good for dropping in before or after a movie, as we did.
