Shrimp and Grits
Honey Pecan Fried Chicken
Great food and service!
Should have never ordered the burger. Meat was lukewarm and bun was cold and hard. Chips were too salty. Shrimp platter was great.
Or second time here. Food is absolutely outstanding! Our server Terry was engaging and his recommendations were spot on! Great staff. Great food. And a great place to impress out of town guests!
I don't recommend the buffet. It seems like a good idea to try a variety of southern cuisine - but it tastes like old food under a heat lamp too long. And we were there at 1130am! The shrimp was so dry we couldn't eat it. The biscuits were good though. And the place has a great vibe. Maybe try ordering off the regular menu?
We were celebrating our anniversary. Our server Wendy was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. Would go again for sure.
Great wait staff!
Food arrived on the cold side. Taste was Very good but lots some of its charm due to temperature. We didn’t say anything since we had a young child with us and weren’t sure how long it would take. Sorry we didn’t
The shrimp and corn cakes were excellent. Steaks also were great!
The ambience and atmosphere were great. The fresh flowers were a welcome and elegant touch. It was an excellent family stop on our Savannah tour!
Enjoyed the Thanksgiving Grand Buffet. It was fantastic and the service was awesome. Highly recommend.
This was our Thanksgiving Dinner first time we didn't have a huge family dinner at our home! The Buffet offered many selections. The Turkey was done to perfection and the Gravy was to die for. We enjoyed the Roast Beef and the Mahi also. I personally enjoyed the Mac and Cheese and the peel and eat shrimp! The Desert table was fantastic with all sorts of decadent deserts. The house is cool with a lot of history associated to it! I can tell you this, all the people got their money's worth! The only thing I can say that I would have changed was the home-made cranberry sauce could have used a little more sugar!!
Was delighted that the grand thanksgiving buffet returned 🎉🎉🎉💕💕💕 Was delicious like before Covid !!!
The Thanksgiving buffet at The Pirate’s House is always a wonderful delight. We travel many miles every year just to partake in this amazing dining experience.
Server (maybe Tommy?) was very kind and hospitable.
Great historical venue. Very true to its legend. Food was delicious and service couldn’t be beat with Terry our waiter. Many fun stories!
The bbq spring rolls, calamari, and blt salad were delicious. The parmesan tilapia had no flavor and was very disappointing especially for the price. The quality seemed good but really lacked flavor. How do you mess up mashed potatoes in the south? There were also no options for kids that are too old for the kids menu but too young for a plate.
Awesome experience. Thought it would be a tourism trap and turned out to be quite the opposite. Loved the food and the atmosphere. Read Treasure Island before going!
Great for the kids…food meh For the grown ups…She Crab Soup was good
The she crab soup was AMAZING! Great service and cool gift shop upstairs.
Very rushed and disappointed in food quality .
We were looking so forward to this restaurant on our first trip to Savannah but were so disappointed. We did the Sunday Lunch Buffett and the quality of food was not good. The buffet was also not replenished.
Had been there many times before and food was outstanding. Very disappointed this time. Mashed potatoes were cold and odd tasting. They don't use real butter anymore. Waiter spilled a glass of wine and never apologized. Was also inattentive. Too bad. It was a great place but won't be going back.
We made Reservations happy we did as it got busy when we got there. We sat and asked if they did a tour of the house but they were short staffed so we didn’t get to do the tour that they normally have. We ordered the calamari and burger. Was delicious. The pirate house is always a nice place to go to.
Michael was an incredible server. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. Verypatient with our questions and a fantastic storyteller. He is definitely an asset to this establishment, if you have the opportunity, request Michael as your server and be sure to ask him about the history of the house.
The food was unique and tasty. I appreciated being able to have some “normal” things like sautéed vegetables (which were fantastic), real mashed potatoes and simple broiled shrimp. It isn’t a place to go for fancy cocktails—wine & beer choices are good. Service was prompt. Other guests were friendly. We sat by a window overlooking the street which provided some fun people-watching too. Was a fine dinner experience just nothing crazy over the top.
We were told by some friends that we had to eat here, so we decided to go. The food was very good!! I had the friend shrimp and French fries meal. The shrimp were huge and the batter was very flavorful, I did not even need to dip it in anything! The cornbread was very good. My husband had the ribs platter and he loved it as well. Will definitely go back.
We had grandkids in town, the Pirates House is our go-to must when the kids are visiting.
Wonderful food and service and great drinks too. Very old with lots of history
A neat old house and some warm and funny staff can't make up for underwhelming, even poorly cooked food. When you have as many items on your menu featuring shrimp, you should know how to cook them well, instead of well-done. Crab cake tasted old and didn't have a hint of any lump crab meat. You are better off stopping here for a drink and spending your food dollars elsewhere in a city full of good and great restaurants. Don't waste your time, money, or calories eating here.
This restaurant has lots of old world character. Food was very good, though I found the potatoes a bit dry and ‘tepid’ The Wait staff was very friendly and did a great job.
The service was good, and the building was very interesting. However, the food was subpar, especially for the price.
Horrible experience. Ordered 2 appetizers and dinner. Dinner came out literally in 60 seconds and then appetizers 60 seconds after that. Totally felt rushed and frenetic. Crab dish smelled bad and pita bread was inedible and smelled totally rancid. Chicken was not crispy at all.
Everything was great but there were no pirates that evening so we could not enjoy the fun or go on the cellar tour
My Husband had the Famous Pecon Chicken, I had the Salmon both did not disappoint.
We went for dinner & had Michael as our server- he was excellent, and the food & drinks were great!
November 15, 2021…First time visit to Savannah . The pirate house was a lot of fun.Our waiter was friendly and willing to please. The chefs did a great job. Food was delicious . Drinks were a bit week. We would return without hesitation.
Did not meet expectations. Food was fair at best. Would not recommend.
Food was fabulous! Our waitress was wonderful. Blackened snapper wit grits was out of this world!
