She Crab Soup
A Delicious Blend of Crabmeat, Sherry and Cream. A Savannah Tradition
Honey Pecan Fried Chicken
Great experience at The Pirates’ House! We didn’t know what to expect, as we had never been there. But, the service was amazing. From the hostess to our server - it was top notch.
We ended up going with the buffet - yes a buffet! The food was fabulous. We had pretty subpar experience at every other place we ate at in Savannah, but this was our favorite!
Fried chicken, amazing home cooked veggies, and fabulous dessert!
Definitely recommend The Pirates House!
The buffet did not have enough to choose from. Red rice was not done, it was to wet and the rice was still hard. Put the red rice covered tight with aluminum foil in the oven. There was pork in all of the vegetables and some people don't eat pork because it's high in salt.
Food was great, however they don’t start doing the evening meals till after 4pm. We ate off the lunch menu. But the meals we had were excellent. Just wanted Steak and it was not on the lunch menu.
Terrible food and equally terrible service. The hostess and pirate were great so they upped our rating from a 1 to a 2. Don’t get the crab cake sandwich. Ick
We were pleased with the service and our food selections. We told our waiter we were going on a ghost tour and he was very efficient with our orders. Shared the pecan roasted chicken thaw as amazing and two had filet that was perfectly prepared. Fried shrimp was also good. Would go back another time.
Great time at Pirates House. We were disappointed that they were out of the blackened snapper which was what we had decided before coming we wanted but our second choices were great. Super good fries, crispy and unctuous. She crab soup was delicious and the biscuits with honey butter and orange marmalade were to die for! Great place for lunch!
Good southern cooking. Tourists stop.
Service was very rushed- no ketchup, no biscuits.
Food was overpriced and not very good. Crab appetizer was greasy. Steak was tough. Fried chicken was dry and over cooked. Bathrooms are very dirty.
The fried chicken was simply amazing and the she crab soup was crazy delicious! Definitely would go again but make reservations at least a week or 2 in advance, very popular place!
My grandmother had a senior trip to this restaurant a few years back when she heard I was visiting Savannah she insisted I try the Pirate’s House and get the Pecan Chicken. It was worth it!
This was our third time eating at The Pirates' House. We go every time we are in Savannah. The food is delicious, the wait staff is friendly and courteous, and the ambiance is amazing. We had a party of 10, and they sat us in one of the small rooms together. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed their food. My friends and I always get the chicken, and it is THE best!
Our food was good. No Pirates 🏴☠️ there for kids as that was why we went with our grandson.
MAKE A RESERVATION!!!
The dark atmosphere of the Pirate’s House lends itself well to it’s storied past. However, the food is horrible. I ordered Parmesan tilapia with crabmeat and there was no taste at all. Just oil. The very leftover old mashed potatoes were inedible and the green beans covered in oil. The same can be said for the other meal ordered. The mixed drink was not good. The only good part of eating there was the one glass of bourbon ordered.
A family favorite for many years. The pirate house has old Savannah charm. The food was delicious and service was perfect. We enjoy the ambiance of the building and the storied past of the pirates.
This place is awesome. Good food, great atmosphere. Gift shop was really nice!
We had lunch from the menu. The physical menu differed from the online menu we used before dining. There was a buffet lunch option, we just chose not to partake. Overall the food was good, the service was good and the dining rooms were interesting. The upstairs gift shop was well stocked and reasonably priced.
For my birthday and traveling with my daughter
Unique venue. Limited wine offerings. Grilled grouper was outstanding!!
The atmosphere was authentic with the original house and bar. The food was amazing and generous portions! I will definitely be a repeat customer.
It was just ok, nothing special about the place except the building itself and you will only see the area you’re seated in. Service and food was fair at best. The server was personable but very busy so it took exceptionally long to get anything we asked for. It’s clearly meant for tourists, single visit customers…
We went for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with the ease of being seated and the friendliness of all the employees we encountered. The food was great and it will definitely be a must visit whenever we go to Savannah.
This was our first trip to Savannah. Our friends recommended Pirate's House and it did not disappoint! A delicious gluten-free menu and wine list. We would definitely try again.
The ambience is really nice. The food was horrible. We got 2 buffets and a shrimp Parm. None of us liked the food. We paid and went to a different restaurant. The server was very nice and the restaurant was clean. I would suggest you to walk through it and find out about the history, but possibly eat somewhere else.
Great food Abby was awesome. If you go ask for her.
Our food came out cold and the tilapia was a bit too fishy but the house itself was fun to see and tour. I like that we had the ability to walk around the property for a quick self-guided tour.
Oh my gosh-get the pecan crusted chicken. It’s the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. Such a cool historic place. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful.
Basically kicked out after getting our food because it was a shift change.
Fun experience if dining with children. The setting was unique and worth the stop. The food wasn't fantastic, but the atmosphere was interesting.
It was exciting to dine at the Pirate House, good food with very historical feel.
Our waiter was a sweetheart! The food was amazing! He made sure that everything was perfect. We had dinner in the middle of a thunderstorm and with the perfect lighting and the soft spoken waiter, it was wonderful!
When being seated, they sat us next to the window that faces west. The sun was extremely bright and hot. We asked to be moved but only was able to move one table over. They then sat another couple at the table and you could tell from their body language and how they kept looking away from the window that the seat placement was uncomfortable. There were also many flies in our area.
The food was good, portions were very big. Drinks were good as well.
It was just another restaurant in Savannah. Nothing spectacular stood out. . The service was good, but the way people recommended the restaurant- I was expecting something different.
The food was amazing!! All of the staff was wonderful! I would definitely recommend!
It was ok, but overpriced for what we received.
Was able to get in earlier than our reservation which was a plus. I anticipated a little more history in the place as we mainly went for the historical significance. We did the Buffett - good southern cooking - nothing notable but not bad. Dessert comes with the Buffett but you still have to order it and for some reason can’t get it to go.
What a fun dining experience. I’m a southern girl and I loved all of the food on the lunchtime buffet. Our server Christy was very knowledgeable about the building and took time to share with us. Definitely going back for the fried chicken!
Thank you for your service Tom. The food was delicious. First time having fried green tomatoes. So yummy!! I guess I was hoping for a bit of the history of the place and more artifacts for viewing.
We love this place! Food, ambiance, location and price is great!
The food was Fantastic. We truly have no complaints on the food at all, it is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Our issue was the service. We planned our trip a week in advance but because of availability the ONLY reservation available was 845pm so that's what we took. We even arrived 10 minutes early. We were there for our one year wedding anniversary dinner. As soon as we put our appetizer order in the waitress started rushing our entire meal. She said she couldn't wait to put our dinner in because the kitchen was closing. Then once our meal came out she said we had to order dessert before we ate our entrees. Then when we playfully asked if she could give us a tour she snapped saying she'd been there since 10am and was tired and didnt care what we did. It was so disappointing because we had been looking forward to that dinner as our celebratory dinner all week and we were pushed through there in 40 minutes and that is not an exaggeration. Next time we will skip the service and get take out because the food was good but southern hospitality was nowhere to be seen.
