The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

The waiter was very kind and did a good job, however the food was nothing to brag about . The restraunt is cool because of all the history that’s there but if you are seeking a good dinner this is not your place. Food was eh..

Food ok. Service and waitress excellent. Spring rolls were deep fried, but happy to return and credit bill. Pecan chicken sauce is syrup, too much. Beautiful setting

What a fabulous place to eat! Not only was the food spectacular, but the staff was amazing! From the hostess who found us seats two hours before our reservation and were beyond kind about it, to our waitress Aida who was delightful (and had fantastic eye makeup)! The food was delicious and I cannot recommend this place enough! Oh and the atmosphere was super fun and the word search on the back of the placemat was super fun to go head to head with my husband on.

Not a diabetic friendly restaurant per say. Their burgers are only served at lunch, so be aware they have different menus for lunch Vs dinner. The kids loved it. They wore their pirate hats proudly and said the food was yummy :) . A lil pricey for our taste, but it was a very cool house/restaurant to be in.

Drinks were good. She crab soup was delicious. Fried chicken was tasty and juicy. Salmon was delicious. Side dishes were ok. Friendly staff including the Pirate gal. Would certainly return on a future visit. Especially appreciate the free parking given how tough it is to park in Savannah.

I had heard the Pirates’ House hosts a great Thanksgiving every year, and this year I decided to take my parents there for our Thanksgiving dinner. I didn’t know ahead of time whether it was a set menu, special menu, or buffet, and I did not see details on the website or social media before going. I was expecting it to cost more than a meal on a typical day, but I didn’t realize it was $55 per person, which was a bit pricier than I felt the food was truly worth and certainly pricier than we were expecting. I wish we had known that beforehand. Please be more upfront about the details online next year. I would have preferred to take my family, as I have done each year I’ve lived here, to a local favorite establishment that has comparable food with prices that would allow us to tip more generously to our server working on the holiday. I’ve enjoyed the times I’ve eaten at The Pirates’ House previously and enjoyed their good food at reasonable prices, but I would not recommend the Thanksgiving meal to my friends after our experience.

We enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet although there were a few negatives. Overall the food was good. I can't say it was exceptional as there were a few items that were not that good (the dressing was bland and the pumpkin pie tasted a little old.) Also I guess it's difficult to keep the food piping hot on a buffet, which could explain why some of the food items were luke warm. Our waitress was excellent. We were a party of 5 and would have appreciated a table as opposed to a booth. The booths are better suited for 4. If you are going to sit 5 or 6 people in a booth they should be in the average to lower weight range! In regards to value - I think for $56 per person your drink should be included. I would rate the overall experience as good in spite of the aforementioned comments.

The meal we had at the Pirate's House was the worst we'd had during our 10 day trip to Atlanta and Savannah. All of the food we ordered was either extremely salty or completely bland. Our server was thoughtful and attentive but it was her first night on the job and she'd been told that she would be supported by another more experienced employee but she was left to fend for herself on a super busy night. Two twenty something dollar subpar dishes and a mocktail later we were left with an $80 bill after tax and tip. For a meal at that price point I would expect nothing less than delicious, but we were not impressed. Talking to locals around town revealed similar opinions and experiences. I did appreciate the historical significance of the building, the informational materials given to us at our table during service, and the effort put forth by our brand new server, but for the amount of money we paid for how bad of a meal we got, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The house itself is really cool but you can no longer explore the basement area after your meal so that’s disappointing. The food was excellent and our server was very attentive with great recommendations. I would return. They have a nice selection on the kids menu, too.

We enjoyed our dining experience. The food, waiter and ambience was very good. I had delicious corn fritters and shrimp as an appetizer. It was excellent. The tilapia for a main course was very good. For a fun drink, I tried the rum punch drink. I would get again. A cute pirate girl gave us a tour of the historic restaurant at the end. She was very good and made it fun. We ended the adventure with a trip upstairs to the shop. Very fun experience overall.

The Pirates House is a great place to enjoy a great low country meal, great service and incredible pirate history of Savannah! This is truly a neat place and perfect for families with kiddos. They also have private dining rooms for large groups, which we will def use in the future for birthdays with family. Awesome time. Highly recommend.

Last day of our 5 days in Wonderful Savannah. This was one of the many restaurants I had reviewed. Decided we would refrain from any breakfast & go when doors opened for Early combo lunch/dinner at once. Buffet & items I selected (most of them) were thoroughly devoured & the only way I could have sampled all items offered was Empty Stomach. So worth the wait. Delicious & tastefully prepared. Will plan on coming again & see all the different dining options.

No gluten-free bread options, and disappointing number of gluten-free options on the menu. Our table was served bread first, then appetizers second. This celiac Diner spent those first 2 courses not eating anything. As the group leader for our party of 13, I would not return unless gluten-free options were more accommodating.
