We were greeted at the door by a young lady in a terrible pirate costume which should have warned of the poor meal to come. Famous fried chicken was just okay and was swimming in honey so that the French fries were soup and the tilapia was bland. The building was the only redeemable of part of the night.
Buffet was garbage! Canned vegetables, hard tasteless pork slices, cold fried chicken! Sorry I had it! Was of money
Great food, love the history of the place, great service, had an amazing time!!
The crabcakes are delicious. The service and ambiance were great. We will return next time we're in town.
Old world styled building with a very cool ambience. Food was very good and the service was on par. We will definitely be back!
Our seafood was cooked to perfection both times we ate there (we enjoyed it so much, we went back the next night on our visit...)
Buffet was too salty and meat.was way overcooked. Have been in the past and was much better.
This was the least favorite of our restaurant experiences in Savannah. There is much better food to be sure. I had the “famous” pecan chicken plus she crab soup and my wife had the special (wahoo). The latter was pretty good - it was fresh - but the sides were underwhelming - microwaved mashed sweet potatoes and sad mixed vegetables. The chicken was very greasy. She crab soup was okay - decent flavor but almost puréed. We were seated in a far back room that all of the ambience of a Western Sizzlin’. At least we got a visit from Bonny. It was very noisy and difficult to place an order or hold a conversation. Our server forgot our biscuits and brought them out to go as we were leaving. The store upstairs had a nice shirt selection and other kitsch so I recommend stopping by to see the store and the pirates if that is your thing and get food elsewhere.
The food and wait staff were both excellent. The pecan fried chicken was delicious. The only downside was the place is very noisy due the fact it is a centuries old building with no noise dampening properties.
We had an amazing time. Ali was our awesome server and we wanted for nothing! The Pirates really added to the experience. I highly recommend The Pirates' House. The food was full of secret ingredients that made it next level! Unreal food. A must in Savanah! Ask for Ali and you'll wanna tip her big!
We made reservations because this was a special occasion. I even called the day before and was assured we would be seated in the Herb House...that didn’t happen. We instead were seated in a dank little walkway with an air conditioning unit dripping on our heads. No ambiance. You may as well walk-in from the street...you would probably get better seating. Promises should not have been made and then broken. The food was good but very disappointed overall.
The Pirates House is awesome! Great food and service. Definitely worth checking out!
Visited with my wife hoping for another good meal in Savannah. We were underwhelmed, the Fried Shrimp entree and the Shecrab soup starter are good but, the Shrimp Carbanarra was not worth the price. The ambience and history of the place are interesting.
We were able to get the timeframe we wanted we were seated promptly. The server was very polite and informative. The food was sensational. And the pricing was OK because the food was delicious. 👏👏
The best meal we had while visiting Savannah! Great food, service, and atmosphere!
I always visit the Pirate’s House when I am in Savannah. It’s one of the best Restaurants/Attractions of the area. The pirate guides who tell stories of the Pirate’s House history are a nice touch to an already amazing venue.
We were in Savannah for Marathon and this place was recommended. It did not disappoint. The pecan chicken is awesome
In for the marathon
Wonderful place to eat! Staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. The fried chicken was the best I've ever tasted!
Food was great. The atmosphere was cool being in the old building.
Typical tourist place. Food was okay. Service ok.
We enjoyed our experience. Our waiter was excellent as well as the food. The bartender was lacking though. I love that you get a tour of the place with the history. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Good place for kids and the staff was very nice—my 2 year old had a great time! The food was decent but not great.
One of the best places in Savannah!
Food and service were fabulous! Very cool old building with lots of charm.
It was so much fun! The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The food was awesome.
The restaurant came very highly recommended, so we were anticipating a great dinner. Didn’t happen.
The food - although plentiful - was just okay. We were served dinner while we were about halfway thru our appetizer.
Service was at best mediocre. Our server was very pleasant and she had a great sense of humor, but not enough to overcome the negatives.
This was our first visit to Savannah, and probably won’t be our last. As far as The Pirates House, it was most definitely our last visit.
The pirate house is a great place to visit while visiting Savanna. The lore around the building is amplified by a great staff that is friendly and courteous making your visit memorable. The food was good, but not special. The drinks were good. Go ahead... let your imagination go and have a great time dreaming over dinner.
41st anniversary. Everything was excellent. From the meal of chicken jambalaya to the salmon, bread. Calamari was the best. And the creme brûlée’s. Yummy. Raspberry mojito delicious.
I would definitely return to The Pirates House. The Honey Pecan Fried Chicken was very good as was the Fried Green Tomato BLT Salad. Our server was great.
Great Historical building, did not disappoint. Food great, service lityle rushed at peak time, but lovely people.
Grouper, biscuits, and peach cobbler were delicious!
Food is delicious and ambiance is awesome. I love that they incorporate the history. Our server was very friendly.
Excellent service, food. My children loved the menu and ambiance and acted appropriate. It was a great day trip for a local.
Great service. Awesome food!
Beat She crab soup we had during our trip
Shrimp and grits were great
We are return guests to The Pirate House. But our visit was because we had a guest come into town. The Pirate House exemplifies Savannah and it is always at the top of our list of places to visit when we want to showcase our town.
This is a great restaurant to let you take in some of the history of Savannah. We dined in the room that is the oldest residential structure in the state of Georgia and it was a lovely setting. The staff is great, and we took advantage of the free tour of the restaurant after dinner and enjoyed it.
Very cool historical restaurant, different dining rooms available, some in the tavern, some in the bar and some on the indoor patio. There was a free tour after dinner if you were interested. Highly recommend the tour
Great local historical dining. Can not recommend this restaurant enough.
