The Pink Door Ratings and Reviews
The waitress was super nice and made great recommendations. Checked on us just at the right time. Bring us what we need but not super chatty, which I really appreciate.
Food wise, everything was really good. Pasta was creamy but other dishes were on the lighter side. I like that as a Italian restaurant, they have lots of good healthy options other than just pasta (even though the pasta is super delicious).
Many people thought we were there for the show, but we weren't. It was difficult getting in and past the people waiting in line for show. On top of it, the location was hard to find since there is no sign. Literally just a pink door with a tiny sign of hours of operation. I most likely will never eat there again. Sorry
This was our first time for lunch at The Pink Door - we’d been wanting to go here for quite some time. When we checked in, we were met with a stuffy check-in staff - I’d made a little joke that we almost didn’t find them because the door was more salmon color...wow, not even a fake chuckle, just a glare by 2 of the 3 check in’s..no smiles, no nothing. Then the hostess who seated us made no niceties on the way, but made sure her hair was flipped back numerous times along the way..(gotta look your best, right?)..anyway, something I hate...
We were seated by the window, so thank you for abiding by my window table request. Our server was really nice - she said she was new so that's probably why we were never offered the specials choices, or soup options..that’s OK, it was fun hearing them offered by the server a table over after our meal. I ordered the Cesar salad with crab and the 3 meatballs - all great! A huge Cesar with fresh crab, and the sauce on the meatballs was great! Hubby ordered the kale salad and the chicken sandwich, both of which he dubbed as, “OK”.
We would return, for sure...nice atmosphere, good seating, not overly noisy, and great view, and the food was good. Don’t expect a warm welcome or anything - more like Vegas when you’re getting seated - hair flipping free of charge!
My boyfriend and I came here for our last dinner in Seattle as a romantic date night. We came later in the evening, around 10:30. We were able to be seated immediately. The views in the back room overlooked the waterfront and you could see the Great Wheel. The food was to die for. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. We got the oysters and the toasted garlic bread as appetizers. The oysters were the best I’ve had, the bread was great. I lost my ID during a bar crawl the night before, so I went for the mock-tail which made losing my ID not so bad. I had the Northwest Fish of the Day, which was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got the bolognese which he said was very good. For dessert, we had the apple turnover (?) which was the perfect way to end our meal. The service was incredible, and we will absolutely be back on our next trip to the city.
My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary at the Pink Door. We love Italian food and I lived in Italy for over 3 years and it was some of the most authentic, delicious Italian food I've had in the US. Our waiter was exceptionally kind and attentive. Thank you to the Pink Door for making our 1st anniversary an extremely romantic and memorable experience.
The service frankly was way too slow for my liking, the waitress was exceptionally nice and always pleasant by was like Houdini in that she would just disappear for long stretches of time only reappear and was too damn nice to question her.
Best meal I’ve ever had! We had the raw oysters, 2 of their best wines recommended by our server Terrance, the special with squid ink sauce, the famous ciopiono, Gf bread, and sorbet. Excellent seafood, large servings, superb & intelligent server, delicious and unique offerings and we loved the swanky atmosphere of live jazz music. The value was amazing for what you got. Could not ask for more!
My husband and I had dinner here for our one year wedding anniversary. The staff at the front desk weren't particularly friendly, and misplaced my raincoat, but our server was excellent - very attentive, friendly and willing to help us make selections. We were seated at a large table near the window with a view of the waterfront. All of the food was excellent - we had the proscuitto with mozzarella, arancini, seared white fish with vegetables, papardelle with bolognese, boobie cake, and ice cream sampler, and a sparkling rose. Altogether too much food for two, but we were going all out for the occasion. Overall we were very happy with our evening and will be back for date nights in the future.
I made the reservation via OpenTable and indicated it's for a birthday. We were seated at a half circle booth which is very comfortable. Overall, they maintain a good distance in space between tables so you don't feel crowded and the conversations of customers become white noise you won't get bothered at all.
This meal is always the best! I always enjoy eating here the lasagna is the best ever! The newly renovated ( new to me) layout allows for much more seating. We enjoyed the bar had pomegranate beverage and a mix of other alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. It was a bit cool with cool air blowing down on our large table in the newer part of restaurant but this place will always be a favorite Starting from when my husband purposed to me at a small table more than 25 years ago.
Having received recommendations from several friends prior to going, The Pink Door did not disappoint. Set in a very pleasant atmosphere we enjoyed several different offerings from the menu. All were absolutely wonderful, and we all agree that this is a place to re-visit when in the area again.
We tried for 3 days to have lunch at the Pink Door! They were sold out every day! Finally we lucked out and got four of us in for lunch and we were really happy we did! What a cool place! Great food great view. We started with BAGNA CAUDA - which is a “hot bath” of anchovies, garlic & olive oil in which fresh seasonal vegetables are dipped. Actually - dipping bread in that bubbling oil was even better than the veggies (naughty though!). My husband had the PHEASANT TORTELLINI IN BRODO, classic housemade pasta in a rich bone broth. Portion was a little on the small side and he polished it off quickly but it was really good. My son and I both had RISOTTO with preserved truffles, wild and domestic mushrooms, farm fresh raw egg yolk, parmigiano-reggiano cheese. It was excellent. Creamy and rich and so full of flavor. My other son had PAPPARDELLE AL RAGÙ BOLOGNESE - with slow simmered meat sauce, fresh pasta. He loved it. We had a great lunch and will definitely go back next trip to Seattle!
This is the first time I’ve been to the Pink Door since they opened the new space that faces west overlooking the market. The new space is bright with a great view of the market which complements the darker room at the front of the restaurant. The food was very good as usual. I had the kale salad which was carefully prepared with finely chopped kale, raisins, and nuts, with a side of chicken. My friend had a Caesar salad with shrimp that he complimented. The service was friendly and attentive. A great location that’s added to its appeal by adding additional space.
