The Pink Door Ratings and Reviews
The Pink Door was the perfect spot for dinner on my birthday. We were in town visiting from New Orleans and Houston. We chose The Pink Door because of the delicious looking menu and lightheartedly because my favorite color as a kid was pink.
We started with the lobster ravioli (divine) and brussels sprouts for the table. For entrees we ordered Bolognese, Lamb Oso Bucco, Spaghetti and Meatballs and the Northwest Fish (seared tuna over a bed of flavorful fingerling potatoes and eggplant). Everything was spiced perfectly, had wonderful flavor and was a large portion for the price. For dessert we had ricotta cheesecake and the ice cream trio. Both were delicious. Our reservation was for 9:30pm and the ambiance was perfect at that time. The restaurant wasn't too busy, therefore wasn't too loud. The music was serene, lighting was easy on the eyes and we had a great view of the sound which was an added bonus. Our waiter, David, was kind enough to accommodate dietary restrictions and was very informative about each dish. Thanks David! Next time we are in Seattle we will be back.
My wife and I were in Seattle for a long weekend vacation and made reservations at The Pink Door, as it came highly recommended from articles online and friends who'd been there before. The restaurant is very eclectic and has a certain charm, that being said we were seated with a great view of the bay. We started out with the artisanal cheese plate, which was excellent. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Pink Door cioppino, which the waiter told us has been on the menu for 36 years. I preserved the bolognese with fresh pasta --- which was amazing. The cioppino, despite being a staple of the restaurant, left something to be desired. The cioppino had very little flavor. While we were both disappointed with the cioppino, the rest of the meal was excellent as was the service.
We arrived early for a Saturday night reservation and they managed to seat us right away in a room with a generous view of the sound. The service was excellent, approaching the table at the right times to replenish water glasses and ask for any needs. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle.
Celebrating an engagement. Requested with reservation a seat by the window to overlook the bay and was granted that request. Beautiful view and a wonderful meal! Fiancé had special spaghetti with squid, clams, mussels, and shrimp. I had the lasagna and it was amazing! The service was great, and we will definitely return on another visit to Seattle!
We were able to get into the Saturday night Cabaret/Burlesque show with dinner and I have to say it is a great show. It is a sold out show for the next month or so, very popular!! I suggest everyone, 21 and older, Seattle residents, who have not attended this event should go, enjoy a great dinner and be entertained by the performers.
I typically love coming to the Pink Door but this time around wasn’t very good. When we got sat for our reservation, it took about 15-20 mins before anyone acknowledged us and took our drink order. Our server seemed a bit disoriented and was not engaging whatsoever. We’ve come for birthdays before and our last servers were amazing and fun to chat with. They even offered her a dessert to end the evening but this time, our server and didn’t even mention anything about a birthday even though I put it on our reservation. My friend order the tortellini pasta in broth and it literally looked like a 5 year old put it together. The presentation wasn’t very good compared to everyone else’s. She’s seen photos of that same dish and hers didn’t even come close to what it looked like. In the end, we didn’t get dessert and just decided to leave after we paid. Definitely a disappointing experience. The atmosphere is always great there but this time around the service fell short. I always go when it’s a busy weekend day. I’ll be returning again sometime but I just hope I don’t get the same server
Usually pretty good, but made a mistake in ordering this time. The pheasant tortellini in bone sauce wasn't great. The bone sauce was too salty and didn't have much other flavor. Plus the portion size was quite small compared to other lunch entrees. Not recommended. But the other dishes looked better.
