The Pink Door Ratings and Reviews
While vacationing in Seattle, we visited the Pink Door. It had a lovely ambience with sort of a Paris-shabby-chic vibe. We arrived early in the evening (before prime dinner hours), and most of our meal was quiet and calm. The noise level did pick up a little as more people started to arrive around 6:30. We enjoyed our food, and the service was cheerful and attentive. The trapeze artist performed that night, and it did add some festive spectacle to the night.
Visited The Pink Door while on vacation in Seattle. We were fortunate to experience many great meals while visiting this fabulous city, but this was by far the best. The food was delicious; daughter had the risotto with mushrooms and I had the lasagna (vegetarian). For dessert we shared the butterscotch pudding which was SO yummy...I wanted a second! Dinner was less than $100, for two entrees, a salad, a glass of wine, one shared dessert and a glass of Chianti. As we visited on a Sunday evening, the entertainment was a trapeze artist, during the 1.5 hours of our dining, came out twice to perform. Know this ahead of time...she is performing IN the main dining room which is quite intimate. You can view her from wherever you're sitting, and if you're close by, don't worry that she's going to bump into you...her moves are very controlled. Made for a fun evening. I will definitely return on my next visit, perhaps to enjoy dinner and the show on Friday/Saturday night.
Super first weekend in Seattle with two visits to Pink Door: one for dinner and one for lunch.
Wine and food selection were superb. Great seafood. . No disappointments here. The oysters, tuna and salmon were all exceptional! Too full for desert! Capuccinos were heavenly! Dare to compare with other local baristas!
Will be going back!
we were celebrating my wifes birthday. upon entry we had to wait for a bit which was not a big deal.. I would not dress up for this night out!! our waiter Dominque was fantastic if you get his section it would be worth it! I had the lamb ribs which were great and a good portion. my wife had vegetarin pasta but it did not have any flavour which was disappointing!!! all in all we hqd fun and we would go back!!!
The building itself feels as if you just landed after falling down the rabbit hole. The ornate mirrors, the high ceilings for aerial acts, and the music of the night (live jazz band on Wed) give the perfect ambiance for the small group next to us or just me and my partner celebrating 10 years. The food was exquisite. I ended up with an amazing black pasta seafood dish that had just the right kick to the lamb my partner was in love with. ..my mouth is still watering. The staff greeted us immediately and our server was fabulous. I cannot wait to go back though next time I'll check out their Cabaret show.
great atmosphere. endure it's a small dining area very intimate and cozy. large bar area very eclectic. very large outdoor deck which is considered part of the bar which overlooks the water. food was on par with some more pricey restaurants. The pink door offers reasonable prices and great food.
Always heard about how great it was and we were not disappointed on a sunny Seattle noon.
They made her birthday lunch feel very special and it was, 80 years young!
The food was incredible and we had the sweetest waiter. Two hours went by in a flash. Can't
wait to take my husband for an evening to see their show.
We came here to celebrate our anniversary and were able to sit outside on the deck at a cozy table lit by candles. I had heard a lot about this place before we arrived and I was not disappointed. We ordered a few appetizers and a carafe of wine to start. Both delicious. Our entree's arrived promptly and were amazing. I ordered the lasagna as I was instructed by friends that at least one of us had to get it. I was not disappointed. It is the best lasagna I have had to date, and I think about it often. We ordered desert and drinks to accompany. We weren't rushed at all and our server was very friendly and helpful when we couldn't make our own decisions. The couple next to us got engaged during dinner which added to the already romantic atmosphere. This is one of my favorite places in the city.
Loved this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, that's tucked down Post Alley, only identifiable by it's pink door. Food was delicious (particularly the bolognaise ragu!) and well priced given the quality of the restaurant. Wine recommendation was disappointing (we ended up paying over $30 for a bottle of wine that was not at the server described), but the staff were very accommodating and offered a free desert for our troubles.
Both times I've visited the food was over the top amazing. Maybe some more exotic choices can be intimidating to more conservative tastes. Ambience is amazing. The whole experience feels very exclusive given its low key entrance and secluded nature. Really a one of a kind dining experience.
This was my first trip to seattle and googled a burlesque show and the pink door came up. This was the best place we went to the whole trip! Great food, service, ambience and even though we didn't get to see a burlesque show because I misunderstood the timing, they had great live, acoustic music that night.
I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. We were there on a Monday and caught the trapeze show while we were eating, haven't seen anything like it before. Just fabulous. We started with the antipasta to start and then had the halibut of the day and fruitti de mare. No complaints.
My boyfriend and I visited the Pink Door on a friends recommendation for his birthday dinner. I'm glad we made reservations. There were open tables when we arrived at 8pm, but they were quickly filled. I had no idea there would be a show, but it was a great surprise. It didn't interrupt dinner service at all and only enhanced the atmosphere! The food was incredible and the server (I don't recall his name) knew the menu well. He was very attentive, but not intrusive and even wrote down the name of the farm where the lamb came from after we raved over the quality cut (We didn't request this, it was just a very nice gesture). The butterscotch pudding was out of this world! Safe to say, we found a new Seattle spot for our next trip!
I loved the romantic atmosphere. The cheese plate was very good and I loved my lasagne, but my husband did not like his spaghetti at all (I tried a bite and agree). The server was attentive and friendly. The short trapeze show every hour was a fun little addition to the whole dining experience. I would love to eat here again!
It was a nice place...tables were a little close and it was a little loud but other than that it was nice. I would recommend placing a reservation weeks in advance since the only one I could get was for 9:00 pm! Our server was very good but I don't remember his name.
I had heard from a few people over the years that The Pink Door had excellent food and a fun atmosphere. My boss wanted to take me to lunch during Seattle Restaurant week, and she left it to me to pick the place and that's where we went (neither of us had been there before). I had the kale salad and the spinach lasagna - both were outstanding. My boss had the asparagus plate and the cioppino - and she loved it. The Pink Door did not disappoint - I highly recommend it!!
Dined there for lunch during the 2015 Spring Restaurant Week promotion. First, the service was top-notch. For my appetizer, I had the Blistered Asparagus- Room Temp w/ Sieved Hard-Cooked Eggs & Olive Oil. The asparagus was sweet and roasted to perfection, lightly dressed, with generous parmesan shavings. My entrée, Lasagna Pink Door- Fresh Spinach Pasta Layered w/ Besciamella, Pesto and Topped w/ Marinara Sauce, was sublime! Go try it now!
The food was excellent and had a wonderful view! Great place for adults. I did read other reviews that said "kid-friendly". I would disagree. They do not have a kids menu. However, they did accommodate the kids with simple pasta choices (pasta with butter or marinara) and pizza. The kids pizza was too "fancy" for a kid. Other than that, lunch was excellent and will return without kids. :)
A wonderful experience in the heart of our Seattle trip. A live Polish band was playing the night we ate there, and we got a great seat to listen and watch the performance. The restaurant interior is beautiful and interesting. The food was outstanding. We will definitely return when we are back in the Seattle area.
