The Pink Door Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I got lunch here around 2pm. We chose the patio as it was a sunny day. All the sun was landing right into my eye as some patio tables face directly to pike place. Food was ok but I was definitely in a hurry to finish as it was very hot. We got the lasagna (recommend) and the linguine with mussels (husband said it had too many mussels and not enough linguine)
Starting with the service and ending with dessert, this is one of the best restaurants I've dined. Our waiter was terrific; great sense of humor and excellent recommendations. We started with the oysters which were fresh and flavorful. I had the cioppino and was not disappointed. It was ridiculously delicious. The best I've ever eaten. My daughter had the muscles and clams in white wine sauce. She was in heaven. Although full, we knew we had to taste the dessert. I ordered the ricotta cheese cake on the waiter's recommendation, and my daughter ordered the trio of ice creams. Again, just perfection. We are adding The Pink Door to our list of absolute favorites.
I was visiting Seattle and had multiple people recommend The Pink Door as a fantastic eatery, and they were right! The environment was cool--eclectic but not kitschy and just fun decor. The service was fantastic--knowledgeable, made great suggestions, prompt but never over eager. The food was perfect--the cheese platter was sublime! My wife had the halibut and i enjoyed the double cut porkchop. Both dishes were prepared expertly. I was extremely impressed and will try to visit next time I'm in Seattle!
I'd been there once before and was looking for a good place to gather with old friends. The other 3 had never been before. We were all blown away. The food, the atmosphere, the view and the staff were excellent. My 3 guests from Tacoma promised to return. As do I😏
I Love coming to the Pink Door, their Lasagna is fantastic, they have a very nice selection of wines to choose from as well as specialty drinks. The atmosphere is great and the noise level still allows for conversation. We will definitely come back for another meal.
Traveled from Texas all day. Lively atmosphere; great service from the moment we were welcomed. Hard to find at first. It’s literally just a pink door in an alley. Had reservations later in the evening but we ended up going earlier. They were very accommodating to the change in our schedule. Looks like they have live entertainment each night which I wish we got to see. Food was good, but not a huge menu. Large wine list, though we enjoyed a seasonal brown ale. Over all we enjoyed our first meal in Seattle.
I wasn’t sure about a business lunch at the Pink Door with east coast associates I had not yet met, but our conservative group enjoyed the creative and unique atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, our waiter gracious and attentive yet quirky like the interior. Successful and fun lunch.
I loved the ambience of this place. It’s one of the best restaraunt I have been to. Our server was very polite and prompt. The Tuscan fries and lasagna was great. As well as for dessert we ordered a cabaret cake which tasted awesome. Only downside was the garlic bread which didn’t seem fresh and was hard to chew. The place has been designed quite creatively and fact that you have to enter through an almost easy to miss pink door adds to excitement for the place. I just wish the garlic bread was better and I could have given it 5 stars on food as well. Would definitely eat here next time I am in Seattle
We were in Seattle for the day. I very much recomend making a reservation, because it seems to be a neighborhood favorite. I dont know if there is an elevator but here are stairs up and stairs down to get in and out. The Staff was eclectic, friendly, and on point with knowlege of the menu and how the chefs were making our meal. Food was delicious and presented to us beautifully. I highly recommend "The Pink Door" for an interesting and special affordable meal.
Had dinner with some girl friends. We enjoyed great food and great conversation. We were seated at a really nice window table in the newly remodeled back room. It was really lovely. I’d dined outdoors on the patio a couple of other times and loved that too. Great restaurant.
We have been visiting Seattle for years and have always wanted to try the Pink Door. We were so excited to finally have that chance! There were 4 of us and it was a Friday night. The place was hopping but we didn't wait more than 5 minutes for our table. We had a GREAT table in the back room with the waterfront views. STUNNING. My hubby and I split the lasagna and it was THE best I have ever had!!! It was different though..not your typical red sauce, ground beef/sausage dish. It was amazing! Our drinks were great as well. The service was timely and server was friendly. It is not a low dollar menu but worth the money!
We were visiting Seattle, a former resident suggested it. We were very pleased, sat at a window table overlooking the Pike St. Marker, Wheel and harbor. Food and wine were reasonable, service was professional, we were sat on time. Flavors and portions were great.
I started with the Kale salad which was nutty and fresh. I then had the cioppino and it was full of seafood that was fresh and the broth was light and had just the right spice to tantalize my taste buds. The food was exceptional. From the moment we walked through the door I felt like the most important person in the restaurant from the person that sat us down to the waitress who seemed genuine and knew everything about the menu. You all made our day. We will return.
It was my 60th birthday. Wow what an amazing experience. We heard this was a nice place… But it was over-the-top wonderful The food was absolutely amazing !!
truly we both enjoyed ourselves so much. Our waiter was engaging, funny knowledgeable attentive… You name it. The vintage chic of that place was beautiful, the energy really fun
The only bad thing is we were sitting right near an air conditioner. apparently there was a remodel… They were so attentive and made sure they turned it down and were comfortable.
wonderful wonderful wonderful
After reading the glowing reviews, and having to wait for a reservation, I was looking forward to an amazing experience. The antipasto was excellent, but the pasta was nothing out of ordinary. Our waiter seemed as though he wanted to be doing something else. I won’t be going back any time soon.
