The Pink Door

Celery and roasted pear bisque was amazing, as was the osso bucco.
Cozy place w/ delicious foods. I recommend today's special menu!
One of the best service experiences I’ve ever had. She was delightful, knowledgeable, helpful and appropriate. Food was delicious and the view and atmosphere were great. Had antipasto, Caesar salad with crab, buccatini.
Our go to restaurant-of-choice in downtown Seattle for celebrations and bringing out-of-town guests. The ambiance is unique and meals are always spot on. Absolutely love the cheese plates and always start our meals enjoying the ever changing selections.
What a completely extraordinary restaurant! No sign out front. Just a pink door! Perhaps this would not be possible in an age before GPS!!!
The restaurant has high ceiling. The decor is semi garish but somehow comfortable. The ceilings are high enough to accommodate a couple of trapeze type devices: one a swing, and the other a ring. On 2 nights a week in the large bar area there are 2 brief aerial shows involving a woman dressed in costumes such as satin shorts with sequins. Music plays and there is a dance aerial show combination that is artful and athletic. Very unique!
But the star of the restaurant is, quite rightly, the food. The freshest ingredients. The most careful preparation. Simple and absolutely fresh oysters. The 3 meat ball offering makes a good appetizer. The lasagna is delicious. But the star of the stars is the marinara. The best I have ever eaten! Incredible!!!
And a great wine list.
They didn’t have a table for us at the time of our reservation. Once we were seated it took 15 mins to even have a server come take our drink order. Nice ambiance but they seem to take reservations over the capacity of what they can handle.
I cannot speak highly enough about our experience. We arrived about 10 minutes early & they were able to seat us right away. We had great seats in the bar near the aerialist show. Our service was prompt, friendly & helpful. 2 of our 3 drinks were GREAT, the Old Fashioned made with well whiskey was not enjoyable at all. All 3 of our meals were served at the perfect temperature, ample portions - not too much or too little. The food was absolutely lovely & crave worthy. We look forward to going back again soon.
Great service, lovely venue and the food arrived very quickly! We had a very large party and everyone was impressed with The Pink Door!
Lovely place. Service slow. A Seattle gem still.
Flavors were outstanding, the food was great! We were able to get our table quickly, service was great and very, very Fast!. Only gripe (and I'm nit picking) is the plates were small, meaning I was expecting more quantity for an Italian place and the price. However, I did leave full and not food coma full. I don't usually get appetizers, but I would here if I go back knowing the entree is on the small side. All in all, great experience!
We went here for our 10 year anniversary, looking forward to a nice dinner without the uppity feeling of a black tie restaurant. We definitely didn’t leave feeling like we would want to come back, based solely on the front of the house staff.
Great 'little' hidden spot at Pike Place Market - I had no idea this was even here - enter through a nondescript pink door and voila - a huge bustling Italian experience complete with views and live entertainment - and some of the best pasta we've ever had!!! Highly recommend!!
Make a reservation! Had a 9:45pm reservation. Went for dessert, drinks and music. Will plan or dinner next time. Great time!
The food was phenomenal- the service was attentive but not pushy and the live music was wonderful! And the views in the back room were gorgeous! What a gem!
Love the atmosphere. Food and service is great.
For a pre-symphony dinner, my wife and had an excellent dinner. We had the special ox-tail ravioli and a green salad. The location was, as ever, great as was the service.
This is my favorite "go to" place. Only problem is getting a reservation . . .
Best lasagna ever!!!!
Loved everything about our evening at Pink Door. Must do in Seattle!
So glad we found the Pink Door! Will definitely tell the rest back home in Hawaii that it is a must👍5:15 reservations were perfect for sunset views.
Great food and beautiful setting inside and patio! Will return!
Took forever to get a reservation but we sure had a great time!
Everyone in our party loved everything that came to the table. The service was outstanding!
We had a great time. The food was excellent. The service was really quite remarkable. Our server was one of the best I can ever remember. Great job.
Amazing food and ambience! Reserve early and ask for seating by the waterfront. Every single thing we tried was delicious. Particularly, the linguine with clams and garlic bread were divine.
The Pink Door is always excellent. The staff is always kind and knowledgeable. Experience at this restaurant is great.
Wonderful location, great water views. Our server was excellent, very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. And the food was great! A very enjoyable experience.
Everything was great from the food to service and entertainment. I highly recommend the Pink Door.
This was our 3rd visit to the Pink Door and this restaurant remains consistently excellent. The food, the service, the ambience are all top notch. Can’t wait for our next visit to Seattle!
It was okay meal portions could be bigger if your wanting the asking price. But for most part it was just okay.
Had an incredible dinner at The Pink Door -- probably one of the best meals I've had in Seattle!
My recs for an enjoyable night at The Pink Door:
-Cheese Board Deluxe. If you like cheese, get this board. It's amazing.
-Lasagna Pink Door. Our favorite dish of the night. I didn't think lasagna could taste so good. Pink Door has perfected marinara sauce. All other marinaras are going to pale in comparison to this sauce.
-Make a reservation. Don't expect to walk-in. Sometimes they have availability but when we left at 7PM on a Saturday, they had a sign on the door that said their walk-in list was full.
I'm already planning when we can go back. The Pink Door is my new go-to when we have visitors in town.
Brought my mom and aunt for the first time and theyre really picky. But they really enjoyed their time here and the food was very satisfactory!
Love the atmosphere. Food was very good. Wonder why they don’t have an excellent food service rating posted - only ‘good’. I don’t typically go to Seattle restaurants that aren’t rated ‘excellent’
Our food service waitress was great. Made the mistake of stopping at the bar for a drink in our way out. Very unpleasant female bartender. Took forever to get her attention to pay our check.
Lovely experience. Delicious menu, friendly & fun service. Great local wines.
This is our favorite place to go on Halloween. Great food, and the costumes are awesome! We arrived 40 minutes before our reservation, and they were able to seat us within 10 minutes of our arrival even though they were busy. Love this restaurant!
We were in Seattle for a birthday weekend and had the good fortune to go to the Pink Door on Halloween. The servers were dressed up in delightful costumes adding to the festive atmosphere. They were attentive and responsive. Our dishes were delicious. My wife had the Osso bucco and I had their signature lasagna. Both dishes were beautifully presented.
I have always loved the PD - summers on the deck and winters in the newer bright room over the market. It's a wonderful venue. I am curious, however, why servers have gone to using pronouns such as we, us and our? "How are we doing today?" "What is our choice for lunch today?" This makes me crazy and I find myself wanting to say, "We have decided you will pay the bill." I suspect it is someone's training idea to bring the server into relationship with the diners but it feels contrived and insincere. I really prefer the traditional approach - What would YOU like for lunch; How is YOUR lunch?, etc.
Had a lovely birthday dinner here. We made reservations on opentable about 1 week in advance. We arrived early and promptly seated at bar and were seated at our reservation time. We had a beautiful view near the water. Service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Fantastic food, great server, beautiful venue. Of course it didn’t hurt that I was there with my wonderful family.
