Food was delicious and totally worth our time and money. Our server was great, too. Hostess was friendly but weirdly sat us inches (I mean inches) next to a small baby in its baby carrier... in a mostly empty restaurant. We should have asked to move but were sorta startled into sitting where we were told. Barring that, flawless. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtful, and fun -- and we were served promptly with warmth by all who came to the table.

One of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had and I eat a lot of burgers. Even better then a local burger joint down the street no names will be given to protect the innocent!!!!!! :-) it starts with an F..... And that is all I will say. Gymnast do a lot of it during floor exercises.

Small dining area. Good food and cocktails. Not really an intimate place for a romantic meal but nice for conversation. Hard to find - look for the T. Mac nearby.

The service was decent and the establishment was very accomodating of food allergies, which was greatly appreciated. Sadly, the food was only fair and the place was quite noisy, despite the sound absorbing panels that we noticed. I had the duck, and it was chewy. I actually had to spit out a couple of bites that I was unable to get down because it was so chewy. The braised kale was far too vinegary. My husband had the pork entree, and he also thought it was just ok.

My wife and I live in the area and drove by probably 1,000 times without knowing it was a restaurant. Thank Google-ness it was recommended on my phone as a spot to check out. My wife and I were looking for a quiet place with great food for date night. It was perfect. Great food, service, atmosphere, and 1/2 off all whiskey drinks on Wednesdays! The subdued store-front aside, it was worth the wait.

The drinks were delicious. Try them. Unfortunately my first attempt at an entree was a fail... the chicken and waffles had to be sent back. There wasn't much flavor, as if the food went from the freezer into the fryer then onto my plate. Plus the gravy on the chicken wasn't very good. My server was nice enough to immediately replace that with the burger though, and that was quite good.

The restaurant was beautiful and it was great that it was devoted to great mixology. The service was a little slow and the drinks were a little small. The food was ok but not anything memorable. However i will go back as the bar was amazing.

So this was my first time to Pinewood. I'd definitely go back and I'd definitely recommend it. It's one of those fancy-but-not-too-fancy restaurants. The menu seemed well thought out. Thought out in the way that I wanted everything on it. So, I'd say yes to the Pinewood. I'll be back.

Always, consistently great. Best cocktails in down, great food and great service. It has been #1 on my list for a while now. The chicken and waffles (not something I usually go for because I like more complicated or delicate dishes) is hands down my favorite dish in the city. The savory Belgian waffle and tender, crispy, boneless fried chicken will keep you coming back regularly. I highly recommend it. Also try their fall cocktails. Julian runs the best bar in town.

Can't believed I've missed this place in Decatur. The food menu is simple...but the food choices are good. Service is absolutely outstanding!!! Looking forward to returning to try the chicken and waffles or the cheeseburger. I recommend going on Wednesday for the whiskey special and download the yelp app as well. The food was good, a bit pricey for what it was. $19 for 6 ravioli. Everyone comes for the burger which was excellent. Salads were also fantastic. The staff was very friendly and polite however our server displayed a lack of knowledge in regard to the menu.

We chose the restaurant for a birthday dinner. We all had the grit tots and the brussel sprouts. Both were terrific. We also tried a couple of salads and the oyster roll. We enjoyed everything.

The restaurant is quaint and has adequate seating at the bar.

We all agreed that we would definitely go back and can't wait.

The cocktails were amazing - especially the hot brandy toddy (off menu) and the Goonie drink were great. Food was good but there weren't many WOW moments. Limited wine selection. I would go back and stick with apps and cocktails. I like the new chairs - much more comfortable than prior metal stools.

Four friends from childhood, from all over the city, and we decided to meet in Decatur (where we grew up), and have a birthday celebration.
Lunch was terrific, the staff let us enjoy our time together, and it will certainly be hard to top next time! Thanks!

Food was just ok. Not terrible....but not very good. Go for a hip cocktail or whiskey, but then go to one of Decatur's good restaurants for dining and food. If you like wine, this is Not your place-- wine list is anemic.

I have mixed feelings about the Pinewood and its identity in the Decatur food scene. If you think of it as a bar to enjoy a well made cocktail and grab a bite or two while you sip your drink of choice, the Pinewood shouldn't disappoint, but if you think of it as a true high end restaurant, there are much better choices around town. The typical pub fares like the burgers and the tots are tasty and worth trying, however other items on the menu are not equally satisfying. 2 diners in my group tried the fried catfish, per our waiter recommendation. The dish was not very good. It had a strong fishy taste and the batter was too thick and almost overpowering. Same goes for some of the sides we shared which were also poorly balanced.

The Pinewood is the most fabulous corner of Decatur, a corner clearly dedicated to providing a delicious and delightful time. Never fails to provide a delectable dining experience. The cocktails are my favorite in Atlanta; the food hits the spot every time, particularly the burger, the grit tots, and the brussels. Love, love, love the ambience - the decor, the music, the charismatic professionals. Perfect for dress-up or casual occasions, intimate or friend group, personal or professional networks. My top jam in Decatur, and definitely one of the best bars in Atlanta.

This isn't Portland. That is to say Pinewood lacked simple hospitality. Not once did we feel welcome to be dining here and the service staff seemed annoyed that we were trying to enjoy our dinner. I would not recommend this place to friends. I have dined here before and the service lately has noticeably traveled downhill - way downhill.

Great drinks - make sure to ask about the story behind the names (they are hilaarious)
App - Caprese and Calamari are excellent, specially the salad...best we've had.
Dinner - Pork cheeks and Burger are both delicious. (Dont forget their burger is $5 Mon-Fri from 3pm-6pm!!!)
