I'm so happy I found this gem.

I'm British born and bred and moved here at the beginning of the this year (2017) and this is now my local.

Food is excellent, staff are warm as friedly and the pub is authentic.

Please check it out you won't be disappointed

Great food, well served in a convivial atmosphere. Authentic feel of an old fashioned pub with very delicious and healthy food choices. Also, a well stocked bar and “Happy Hour “ selections.

Picked the Pikey from search on Open Table for brunch gastropub near Pantages..great British pub feel in the decor, excellent service-we asked for music to be turned down a bit and instantly it happened so we could talk at normal level - amazing french toast, crumpets and jam and drinks!

Really enjoy the Pikey! The menu is different...I guess it's English y. But everything is really delicious and the service is great as well. Everyone very friendly. I had the squid which was really good. The burger was delish and the fries were beyond! Fun place!

The overall experience was great. We had a party of 10, made via reservation. Ambience was great, service was great...the only slight was to their pesto ravioli (large plate) was not a lot of food for the price.

I'm a Brit, so I particularly loved finding a restaurant that does a smashing Sunday roast. Seriously, the roast pork belly is fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try more. ALTHOUGH I find it odd that my husband's fish and chips was served with romaine and no mushy peas - what's up with that?

I was unimpressed with The Pikey. The beer selection was not very large and they make fish and chips with Pacific snapper. It comes out of the kitchen looking impressive, but as you eat it, you find a flat-ish fish with a lot of fry. I can say, though, that the fried part was very crispy. I was there early on a Saturday evening and my friend and I might have been the only ones in the place. I could see it being much more fun with a larger crowd later in the evening. But that was not my experience.

Food at The Pikey is always excellent. The place gets a little noisy and the A/C is turned up (temp down) too high but I love the place.

Food is delicious - potted chicken liver, cheese plate & the vinegar chicken are the best. Small comfy dining area, or the bar area has tables, too - and a little more atmosphere. Service is good, noise not too bad. Just a neat place to go and hang out!

pasta portion was too small. Felt like a starter. Was finished in less than a minute and had to sit and watch my friends enjoy their bigger portions. Fish and chips opposite me looked good though.

I was in LA for a week for work and visited 3 times. The food is good, I had the burger on two occasions and the Full English (the closest I could find to the real thing and quite a good individual take on it). Pleasant staff, Michael the barman and the red haired waitress being especially welcoming.

AS I AM BRITISH, I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING TO THE PIKEY. I AM NEW IN LA, AND MY DAUGHTER WAS TAKING ME FOR MOTHERS' DAY, AND THE MENU SAID 'ENGLISH BREAKFAST', SO WE BOTH OPTED FOR THAT. I'D READ THE CHEF WAS ENGLISH. HOWEVER, SADLY, BREAKFAST WAS NOT VERY ENGLISH....THERE WERE EGGS, BUT THE BREAD WAS TOO THICK, AND GRILLED I THINK, NOT TOASTED, AND WAS DRY. NICE MUSHROOM, SAUSAGE WAS ITALIAN I THINK. AND WE BRITS ALL KNOW....YOU GET TWO SAUSAGES. NO IDEA WHAT THE BEANS WERE. CONSIDERING BAKED BEANS CAN BE BOUGHT IN THE SUPERMARKET, BUT THERE IS A BRITISH STORE IN SANTA MONICA THAT SELLS BRITISH FOOD. I SORT OF THOUGHT THAT'S WHERE THE CHEF MIGHT HAVE GOT HIS SUPPLIES, WHEN STATING THEY SERVE A BRITISH ENGLISH BREAKFAST. GUESS I'LL HAVE TO GO THERE, AND TO SHOP AND MAKE MY OWN.

I LOVE the Pikey Roast. I dream about the Pikey Roast. I hate to give a bad review to the Pikey for anything. The Roast itself did not disappoint, but there were a couple very glaring issues. I feel like everyone working at the Pikey this past Sunday was super hungover. Right out of the gate, my cocktail as missing an ingredient and undrinkable. To her credit, our waitress was fast to fix that, but then we were forgotten a few times for looooong periods of time. Two different rounds of another drink were completely different drinks. For $14 drinks, they should be consistent.
We had to ask the other waitstaff for help, because we did not see our waitress on the floor. Dirty glasses were not removed. We were not checked on. Our dessert was really disappointing as well. The sticky toffee pudding was bone dry. When the waitress finally came to our table to take it back, she brought out another really bad dessert. Some cherry cheesecake ice-cream that was overchurned, grainy, and very bland.

I will come back, but hope these kinks get worked out.

The Pikey has really excellent food that manages to be both authentically English and innovative. Our server was funny and warm and the drinks were top-notch (love their Bloody Mary!). Overall, this is a non-pretentious place for brunch or dinner that won't make you wait forever for a table. A perfect place to be a regular.

Everytime I eat The Pikey I ask, "Why don't more people eat The Pikey?" The food is fantastic, the sourcing is impeccable and the service is really friendly. I had dinner there recently with a friend I hadn't seen in ages and they let us linger for three hours over dinner without trying to turn our table--on a Friday night! They are gracious and accommodating. And the food doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves. Go!
