For meals when you don't mind spiking your cholesterol, go to The Pig in Logan Circle.
Our reservation was for 9:15 pm. We unfortunately had to wait for our table but not more than 10 minutes. While the place was very loud when we first sat down, it emptied out after about 30 mns and was much more enjoyable. If you are a prepared meat lover, you will love this place. As a French person, I do feel the responsibility to warn that The Pig’s interpretation of “saucisson” is rather inaccurate. While the “garlic saucisson” was good, it is more of a sliced large cooked sausage. Saucisson is a much smaller dry-cured sausage. The service was prompt, courteous and enjoyable. Overall, the food was outstanding. I love this place.
Start with the cheese & charcuterie board (you won't be disappointed) and then save room for the ribs. Our waitress, Sara, made great recommendations on menu options and was attentive and friendly. The Pig is an up and coming local hotspot. Enjoy!
All the food was amazing!! We loved every bite! It was an awesome place to celebrate our anniversary!
Great atmosphere and food. Will definitely come back.
Really nice place. I had the porchetta which was excellent. Note this is not like the porchetta you find in Lazio, Italy, rather it is a creative interpretation of that by the chef. I thought it was great. Diners with me enjoyed their entrees, especially the chop. House made sausage was excellent. The face bacon app was also well liked by those I was with. Service was great. Would go again.
The pig delivered as promised with unique pork dishes that were very appetizing at a very reasonable price.
Every time I come to DC I make it a point to get dinner at the pig if possible. Great creative menu, socially responsible, friendly staff. Just an overall neat experience.
Even porky pig would be proud! Really savory dishes, drinks and dessert- many compliments to the chef! Wait staff are very attentive, though not too much. Great experience, will return!
Great bloody's and everything pork. Delicious. Try the pulled pork.
This was a mixed bag of an experience.
- Liked the space
- Liked the pork tasting board & little cornbread bites
- Service was pretty mediocre
- Eggs Benedict that I ordered was overcooked
Overall good, but has potential to be even better!
Sarah, our server, was exceptional; making sure that our selections did not interfere with our food allergies. Her recommendations for the Lil' Pig charcuterie plate were spot on. The food was presented well and was delicious. Draft beer selection was fair - they were out of 2 of the beers we requested, but it did not put a damper on the evening. Must try the charcuterie, pork chop and hog burger. Sticky toffee pudding is also a must for dessert.
Great place to pig out. The sausage was fresh and flavorful. The face bacon is amazing...you'll want to order two.
Great for brunch!
Food was a bit unflavorful, especially for the cost. I do highly recommend the Mac and Cheese.
We've been to The Pig a couple of times now and it has been excellent both times. They have great locally sourced food. The Charcuterie selections are excellent as are the ribs and chops. The atmosphere and the service are friendly, smart and welcoming. I'll make a point of visiting on my next trip to DC.
Great food and service.
Food ordinary at best. Garlic was the predominant test in all the dishes we ordered. Value for price definitively not worth it: a pasta carbonara was $22, half rack of ribs (6 in total) $25. These are prices for gourmet food.
Will not go back
The food and drinks were outstanding. I had the pork shank, and it was one of the most delicious preparations I’ve had in my life. Well worth a visit!
We enjoyed both the service and food. The waiter was very attentive and meal was outstanding. The price is a bit on high side but the service and taste made it worth paying.
I went here for brunch and had the Scrapple it was excellent. It includes a price of French Toast that was out of this world delicious. Not a restaurant to choose if you are on a diet but if you are looking for well made and interesting comfort food, this is the place to go.
Great dining to follow the Cherry Blossom 10 mile run.
Awesome food. Fun plates. Great environment
We really enjoyed the upbeat vibe of the restaurant. Had charcuterie plate, and rib dinner. Excellent food and so different. The best part was our server, Ben. Personable, efficient, knowledgeable about menu items and just a fun young man! Thank you Ben for the great experience!
Brought friend visiting from out of town and The Pig didn't disappoint at all! The apps and main courses were all high quality. Service was good.
Food was great
The face bacon was awesome. Great service.
The food was solid and good portions, all in homage to the lowly pig!
Great quality food and service. A bit pricey but you won't be disappointed with your meal.
Food and service was amazing. Great selection of Bourbons. Try the Wilbur old Fashion.
Amazing food! I loved the atmosphere and the drink was so good too. Me and my boyfriend ordered pork belly buns (I really liked the bun, crispy outside and soft inside), farm harvest (needed some veggies. It was good), the pig burger (YUM), and the heritage hog burger (Black Forest ham was goood). I would go back again for sure!
The food was excellent and I really enjoyed the casual atmosphere. Being based on the pig, it had an abundance of really good choices that you wouldn't find elsewhere. I like the fact that it is a local sustainable farm endeavor.
Went for Easter Brunch with my parents. I grew up in Georgia so I can definitely appreciate a restaurant with a menu centered on pork. I was a little disappointed in the grits but loved the crunch french toast. My wife had their pulled pork benedict which was very tasty. If you're a pork lover, you definitely can't go wrong with the pig slam breakfast. For the political town that DC is, who wouldn't want a little more pork!
That porchetta sandwich....wow. Just wow.
Happy hour drinks were phenomenal, food was delicious and ample. Would definitely recommend!
We really enjoyed the food and the ambiance, great cocktail menu. Some dishes were for the adventurous, given the use of the entire animal.
Excellent food and service!
Delicious homage to swine for pig lovers everywhere.
A pleasant surprise from standard local restaurants, if your not a pig lover it’s not for you.
If you like pig based meals and you’re not too worried about your cholesterol, then the food here was fantastic. We had their specialty dishes and I had the cocktail taster-3 little pigs. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Excellent service and the food was fantastic! Hard for our party of 8 to decide what to eat. Our server was awesome in helping us out. Will definitely come back again
Pork belly buns. Order them. You're welcome.
