The Pig Ratings and Reviews
We loved the restaurant! The food was exceptional, as was the service. The Porchetta was melt-in-your mouth, and the wasabi in the potatoes was a unique and delicious combination. The Baby Back Ribs were tender and the sauce was incredibly flavourful. Great drinks too! Would highly recommend all around!
The food was quite disappointing The pig shank was seriously overcooked. And therefore tough and stringy The kale was greasy. The fries were tough. The food was not hot when served and in general the service was not fantastic. The space was noisy and very dark.
Came to DC to visit family and always try and find a new place to eat. The Pig came highly recommended for the food...new hot place in town. Did not disappoint. Great food and service. Pleases note, when the place is hopping...the noise level os very high...not a place for intimate conversation.
Had a wonderful meal with out-of-town visitor and teenage son. Pretty much everything on the menu has something to do with a pig, or someway of pre-preparation that makes it absolutely delicious. Will recommend heartily to friends and family alike, especially as gems like this aren’t often found in an urban environment.
We were in DC to celebrate our 20th anniversary. My husband loves pork and after doing some research knew we had to visit the Pig. T was the best meal of the trip. He had the sausage board and Porchetta and raves about them. I had the garlic wings and shrimp and pork belly which was amazing. Should we return to DC we will definitely be back.
My husband is a big fan of the “face bacon” appetizer which is why I took him there for his birthday. Everything wa wonderful and our server was very helpful and attentive with our wine pairings. What a wonderful place to enjoy a good meal with good company.
I come to brunch here fairly often and it never disappoints. Great menu (though if you don't love pork it's not your best bet). Tried the green beans this time and they were amazing. We had the pig dip (a french dip style sandwich but with pork) and cornbread. So tasty!
Stay away if you are Celiac or have a Gluten allergy. Great selection of meats but virtually all are cross contaminated. Waiter was nice but there were only 3 items on the menu that were Gluten Free. Owner and chef certainly don’t care about people with food allergies. Seems like it would be easy to have a few meat alternatives without Gluten.
The pork belly buns appetizer was overpowered by sauce. The pork wings were good. The shrimp, pork belly and grits entree was tasty, but the small amount of grits was absurd. The worst thing we had was the mac n cheese. COMPLETE FLAVORLESS. Truffle and bacon must've accidently been thrown into another pot.🙄. Not a place I'd go back to
The Pig did an outstanding job of acknowledging our special occasion. Not many restaurants read the comments in open table and the Pig did an excellent job of providing great service. The food did not disappoint. Get the face bacon! We each got an entree and a side dish -- plenty of food! And the dessert -- lemon olive cake was superb.
