What Insiders Are Saying
For meals when you don't mind spiking your cholesterol, go to The Pig in Logan Circle.
The face bacon and baked Brie were great appetizers. The atmosphere was inviting md not too fancy. I will g
The food was cold and it took forever fir the food to come . The waitress was nice but a huge table got there food before we did . It wasn’t disappointing.
We ate here last time we were in DC. Quality of food is the same which was wonderful to discover. Come hungry! Portions are generous.
It was very good.
Took our son to D.C. for his 16th birthday and this was our first dinner there. He got the octopus, which he really enjoyed. My husband got the ribs which he gave a 5/5 on. I got the pork chop - it was a good, thick, cut of meat but wasn’t as bold in flavor as I would’ve liked. Though my husband and son both liked it a lot so it may just be me. We went there at 9pm and it was very loud in general but nothing we couldn’t ignore. Overall we all got plenty of food at a surprisingly affordable price and really enjoyed the dinner and dessert. Would go again for sure!
Outstanding meal. My grandmother from South Alabama said it was the best pork chop she’d ever had.
The meal was delicious! I will definitely be back. Try the Shank and the buns :)
Denisha the bartender was awesome!!! She was so much fun and made excellent drinks. We would go back just to see her.
We tried this restaurant while on vacation in DC and loved it. My daughter and I got the scallops, pork belly and polenta and it was great. My son liked his pork chop a lot and my husband liked his duck breast special though wished he'd gone with pork. The fried pork belly buns were also delicious and three of our party somehow found room for dessert. The chocolate cake, sticky toffee pudding and smores sundae were all good though some people didn't like the sour cherries on the cake. There was a bunch more stuff on the menu we wanted to try.
Enjoyed the ribs and octopus and sausage entres.
This place was amazing. Super good food, excellent drinks, a winner all around.
The food here is delicious—it's impressive what they can do with pig. Pork chops are usually boring, but this one was great. Service was a bit off; we didn't get our sausage board until late, but they comped us on it. This was our second visit, and we would go again.
Not at all sure what The Pig would be and it was GREAT! They were really nice, considering we were a little late. We ordered almost everything on the menu and really liked everything we had.
We'd go back again and again any time!!
My family and I were in town looking for a nice sit down place in DC for dinner, and the food and drinks were absolutely fantastic! We tried the Brie appetizer as well as some garlic salami, and they were both packed with flavor. We also tried the macaroni, as well as different entrees, and each were packed with flavor that left us wanting more. The atmosphere was very inviting, and our server was simply fantastic. I highly recommend!
Great food, great service, cool environment. I had been trying to go here for a long time and when I finally went I was not disappointed! A little more expensive than I thought it would be, but the quality of the food and service made it a good value.
the food was delicious, the ambiance was an urban feel and overall the service was great. The only reason I dropped 1 star was because they didnt have botomless mimosas. If they offer the botomless mimosas this would be my go to place every Sunday! They do have outdoor seating so maybe you can bring your dog. Overall great experience.
Great food! Good service and fast. I would highly recommend "The Pig"
It was an excellent atmosphere for a double date. The food was spectacular and their cocktails were delicious. The shank was fantastic with amazing risotto. The pork chop was flavorful with excellent complimentary sides. Great ambience and easy to hear each other without being too quiet.
The Pig is an awesome restaurant! We got the three sausage appetizer- all excellent! Also the ribs are great, and make sure to get the elote
Quality and effort to make the food special has definitely decreased since it’s open. Oh well.
Our service and food were both outstanding!
Service was good but food was a mixed bag. One of our entrees was undercooked scallops with luke warm soggy risotto. Manager was great and he apologized for the mishap and he sent the dish back. The new dish returned with properly cooked scallops, soggy risotto and overcooked pork belly. It wasn't worth complaining again at this point I believe the problem was back in the kitchen. The two additional entrees were ok. With so many other restaurants to choose from in DC, it's hard to say whether I will give this one another try.
NOt much selection on the menu really - I love The Bird REst. This is a distant 5th compared to The Bird. I was originally pulled in by an email ad touted "National Lobster Day" - showing 4 types of lobster that was to be served over the weekend at this collection of restaurants. I clearly misread the ad! No lobster at all - the food was "Blah" - sorry!
Our server was great, but the food was honestly a letdown.
The pork buns were BY FAR the best thing we had. Our entrees though were not great: pasta was over cooked, scallops were overly fishy, and the pork belly was stringy. Everything in the entree course was kind of bland. Enough so that we actually asked for some salt, which is pretty rare for our whole group. Desserts were phenomenal though. Kind of a mixed bag on this one.
Food was delicious. Service was pretty good but hard for a table
Of one to compete with larger tables. Cornbread was awesome.
Loved every plate! Wish I had an extra stomach to savior all the flavors! Great job! Thank you! I’ll post pix on my Instagram @mydailyketomeals
The Pig never disappoints; I have been three times in the past 2 months and have had completely different meals (brunch, dinner, bar snacks) and all three were exceptional. The peaches and bacon this time are not to be missed! And the andouille sausage.
Every variation of pork was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. Great service and atmosphere. Very reasonable wine list.
The waiter was really helpful and food was amazing! As were the cocktails.
Vacation and birthday
Awesome food! As advertised. They utilize the entire Pig.
Cheery and rustic interior with comfort food perfect for brunch.
My friends and I enjoyed our dinner at the pig. The food was great and the service was excellent.
My family and I had a great time.
The big pig breakfast was divine
We are in Washington DC for a week and we had such a great experience here we had to go back. We had another delicious meal; once again we all had a different dish and again nothing disappointed. What REALLY made it for us though was the service. Our waiter from last time, Jimmy, was manager this time. But, he remembered us. And not only that he remembered that Sarah had mentioned she wished she had tried the pulled pork. He brought her a complimentary bowl. Our waiter this time was Ben and he too lived up to expectations. We wish we had a local like this at home. Highly recommended for a fun, relaxed, neighborly, flavorful, experience.
Loved the PIG.
Should serve ribs at lunch time especially on holidays
Got the brunch special where you get an appetizer, entree, and drink for $27. Was so good, would return
