What Insiders Are Saying
For meals when you don't mind spiking your cholesterol, go to The Pig in Logan Circle.
Second time I've been here for brunch. The food is varied for different diets. It is, as you may expect, rich food. Service is great and accommodated us with out unique requests.
Bryan was great! We sat outside and the weather combined with the food and street vibe were amazing! We'd certainly go back!
Very good food. Well prepared with good options.
Service great. Good spot.
Food was good, beer selection was good, service was minimal. Would have like friendlier staff.
The Pig is a winner. From the service, to the food, to the cocktails, you can't go wrong. Since it is, after all, The Pig, we stayed with pork dishes. We didn't try any of the Charcuterie or sausages. Went right to the appetizers -- Face Bacon and Fried Pork Belly Buns. The face bacon was unctuous, tender, and addicting. I could have eaten 3 or 4 more orders of it. The Pork Belly buns were amazing as well -- tender buns, black garlic glazed crispy and juicy pork belly, and pickles. Another one I could have made a meal out of. For entrees, we chose the pan seared pork chop and the Porchetta. The pork chop may not be the best pork chop I've ever had at a restaurant -- but then again it might be. Perfectly cooked, juicy, with a tinge of rose. The porchetta was everything you'd want in porchetta -- an amazing pork sausage wrapped in pork belly. Pork Nirvana. We didn't leave room for dessert. The service was fabulous -- just right attentiveness and the servers recommendations were spot on. It didn't hurt that she was amazingly personable.
There was so much on the menu that I wanted to try, there is clearly one more -- or likely several more -- visits to The Pig in my future.
The appetizers and wine were literally jaw dropping. Fiancé had the face bacon and after first bite I thought he was having a spiritual moment it was go great! The baked Brie, macaroni and cheese, heirloom carrots, and ribs were all amazing. Dessert we got two classics and were not disappointed- sticky toffee pudding and banana foster. Highly recommend this restaurant and in-fact have already spread the word to friends and family it’s a must try!
My server, Arya, was AMAZING. Plus, the food was just as good. Will be back.
Food came quick, service efficient. Very good overall.
It’s not my first time here, but it’s been a while and I’m thrilled that everything was 100% consistent with every other time I’ve been! Fantastic service from Ayla, fantastic food, fantastic cocktails! My best friend is in town visiting and his boyfriend is coming into town this weekend. He wanted to take him to another, more well-known place in town, but mid-appetizer he looked at me and said, “Make a reservation right now for Sunday!”
Shawn, our waiter, was amazing! He went the extra mile to make my husband’s birthday dinner special. Thank you!
Nice and accommodating for 6.
Food was amazing. Service was great. Prices reasonable for experience.
The pig is what you get! Fun little joint Nd great BBQ. I had the ribs which were excellent. House made pickles and slaw made it special. Went for dessert and had the toffee cake which was yummy. I returned the next Eve for the chocolate cake and mint ice cream which is to die for! Great place and great value. Good coffee too!
Great takes on classic food and drink. Casual enough to be comfortable for families, but innovative enough to be fun for foodies. Pig-focused menu is full of off-beat, delicious items and the cocktails list is also bold and original. Great service, which is rare.
Excellent food but as the name suggests, you gotta love pork. Informal, friendly wait staff and tasty dishes. Prices are moderate.
Very great food selection for brunch. We definitely enjoyed our bottomless mimosas
The food is awesome. I really like the theme here with choice of food/drink in harmony. Got some great choices of Whiskey. Jason the Manager is very friendly and runs a great operation!
Food wasn't as good as it looked. I would pass on the restrauant in the future.
Pork belly buns were off the charts! A definite must at The Pig
We had a big group but the staff was very attentive and the food was delicious (ordered multiples of the face bacon).
Great bathrooms. The food was exceptional and the service very good.
Not an average pork place, very creative menu and ingredients. Food had great flavor and service was attentive and knowledgeable server. Was a large group it was a Great experience.
Attentive staff, great presentation and unique, pig-oriented fare, exactly as advertised!
The Pig was great. John, our server was wonderful. He was attentive and answers our questions thoughtfully. The food was great too!
This was a good breakfast before our trip home to Pittsburgh. Thoroughly enjoyed.
The pork chop was perfect. Ayla was our server and she was delightful
My entire family is still discussing the meal we had at The Pig while we were all in town for a memorial service. There were 5 of us and we sat at a lovely table in the middle of the room near the bar.
Everyone's meals were divine and we each tried on another's. We have all traveled wide and have an array of food likes but the sausages, ribs and other items were absolutely phenomenal.
I would highly recommend you to try and more so if you are with a large group! I think the experience of sharing plates etc. really shines the best light on the delicious food. (Not that a couple wouldn't enjoy but the portions are large so you would not be able to try as many of their dishes until you returned again ;))
Stick with the pork. I tried to be somewhat healthy but broccolini was oily. Bananas foster desert was sweet and tasty. Ribs were excellent.
This was the first restaurant I visited in D.C. and boy did it set the bar high. As soon as I walked in the smell of bacon hit me. It was amazing. I had the pork buns which were incredible and the pork chop which was also insane. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return on my next visit!
Delicious food, good beer selection, generous portions
We were in DC from Hudson Valley of Ny for Memorial weekend and decided to give this place a try. So happy that we did. The food was absolutely delicious I had the pork chop and it was very moist and tasteful. He had the burger and it was great also! Our waitress was so friendly (Ahla sorry I know I spelled it wrong). She had great suggestions on food.
Thanks for the experience and I highly recommend going to The Pig.
Definitely not an every day place (your arteries will be completely clogged), but the food here is great! To start we had the face bacon, pork buns, and artichokes. The face bacon and pork buns were AMAZING but very fatty so good to split with another person. Skip the artichokes - pork is where these guys shine. For dinner we got the pork chop, ribs, and porchetta. The pork chop and porchetta were both really flavorful and delicious. The ribs were okay - they came with a Dr. Pepper sauce that was very sweet and seemed to clash with the very smoky ribs. The cocktail flight and the sticky toffee pudding were also just okay. But the pork appetizers and pork chop and porchetta are definitely worth us coming back for!
The drinks were a little bit expensive but that is expected in the city. The food was absolutely incredible and the portions were perfect! Would definitely go again when in the city.
The ribs were really well done and flavorful. Mac and cheese topped off the meal.
This was 5:30 on Sunday night. Six people, but I made the reservation for 5 but they were accommodating immediately for my mistake. Just because the restaurant is called PIG do not hesitate to go if you are not a carnivore. We have a vegetarian and a gluten free person and they ate well. Nice drink selections. Food is outstanding starting with the pig tails and pork belly sliders and baked brie appetizers. The shank and porchetta and burgers and makhani were amazing. Add the mac and cheese side. Very fun. Would not hesitate to comeback.
Fantastic food. The fries are average but the other sides we got, and the vegetable accompaniments were outstanding. They definitely know how to prepare meat at The Pig. The Shank was worth the money. I want to go back and try their burgers. Helpful and courteous staff.
Good food, good service, a little loud. Large group seating available!
The face bacon is a must try! I actually ordered seconds 🙈
