The Pig and the Lady
Great food that is thoughtful of Vietnamese cuisine with a modern twist
Everything from the roasted broccolini to the beef pho to the swirl was fantastic.
this stellar dining experience must be experienced to truly understand the levels and nuance of taste, decor, service, unique menu, layers of delicate flooring. I return there again and again and it is better each time. DO NOT MISS The Pig and The Lady. We had the Cauliflower, the Pho, the French dip -one vegetarian Dip and one with beef. THEN we had the special Malasada. NO WORDS!
Our waiter pushed way too much of his "comedic experience" onto us.... It was just really awkward and unpleasant. Decent food, the wings are KILLER, but would much rather prefer Piggy Smalls (especially price-wise).
My boyfriend and I have lived in Honolulu for two years, we have loved experiencing all the excellent restaurants that Oahu has to offer over the last two years. We finally tried "The Pig and the Lady" after a recommendation from a friend. After eating here we can both agree that it is by far the best food that we have had in a long time and the best food we've had while living here. We both agreed that we will have to come back several more times before we move back to the mainland later this year.
Wings are a must! And the duck fat rice was fantastic. Great service. Reservations are highly recommended.
The food is so creative and delicious. I could eat here everyday!!
Enjoyed our lunch and the delicious dark chocolate and raspberry soft serve for dessert !!
We went for Valentines Day. Parking was a huge issue. We had to drive around the block a few times before we actually found someplace to park. They had a special set menu for $55 per person. The four courses each had two choices. My husband and I chose different items from each course except dessert. The restaurant was packed and there were long half hour gaps between each of our courses. Even our drinks took 20 minutes to serve. Our waiter was very apologetic and said the kitchen was backed up. That said, there were people who came after us that got served before us. My first 2 courses were very good and came out hot. My husband’s 2nd course was supposed to be hot but it was lukewarm. My main entree of salmon was supposed to be hot, but it was almost cold. I did send it back. The dessert was good. Maybe the regular menu is better, but I would not go back.
The beef dip sandwich was delicious and unusual. The Tiger Rice special was dry and boring, with large shrimp so thoroughly encased, Head and all, that they were difficult to eat. Service was slow (almost 40 minutes from giving the order to getting the food) and the noise level monstrous. Popular place, but I would not go back.
Awesome evening at a very innovative place. Great value except for mains which were quite pricey.
While the service at Pig and the Lady was excellent, the noise level was pretty annoying; and although the food was very good, I guess I was expecting to be blown away by it. Perhaps my expectations were too high going in. We had a nice time, but I don't know how often I would patronize the restaurant given the plethora of options in Honolulu.
Second time here and less impressed with meal, in fact it was disappointing after my first experience here.
My cold chicken salad had no green only green onions.....
Guest sandwich was good but dessert was much better!
Wow! By far one of the best meals I’ve had all year. Every dish better than the last, incredibly creative and an explosion of flavor. We had the ahi Tuna toast, fried chicken wings, scallops with coconut curry and the ol dirty pasta. Incredible!! The service was top notch, the wine outstanding, great customer service. Trendy atmosphere, not stuffy. We may just come back to Honolulu from nyc just to dine here. Five stars all around.
Not nearly up to the hype.Great waiter who recommended 3 house specialties. Wings (nothing special but good). Ahi tuna toast (bland and overpriced for what one gets) and their fish (was gummy and just Ok). Altogether rather disappointing but barely good enough not to complain
Very disappointed with the food. Had the tiger with pork and shrimp. Pork under cooked and the shrimp over cooked.
Amazing flavours and get service
Fabulous dinner, amazing food, service and ambience!!
Arrived on time. Seated next to the kitchen, last table in room. Asked to wait as the only table open was a table for three. Within a minute of sitting down at our table the table for three became a table for two. No ceiling. Open pipes. Noise was unbelievable. Food was PHOgetable.
If your interesting trying something different, The Pig and Lady is it! The food was outstanding, highly recommend it.
Great design and use of the space. I didn't care too much for their new menu, but will definitely give them an other try when it changes.
INCREDIBLE food, awesome service, and amazing value.
Our server and the other few servers we chatted with while we were there were super kind.
This will be a new tradition for us everytime we are in Hawaii.
it's a very busy & popular restaurant - menu is interesting but during this visit, there wasn't anything we ordered that was amazing. simple selections were done with lots of ambition. many dishes had way too much fish sauce and quite salty. i understand the need for culinary cutting edge but it would be nice to have some menu items that are simpler with subtle flavors. i would go again but will check the menu before i go.
solid as usual. great service even though the restaurant was packed.
Another awesome meal at Pig! We tried the LFC Cauliflower wings and Mushroom Pho French Dip. Such delicious vegetarian options. Love the lively and fun atmosphere and don't forget to save room for dessert. The Yuzu Cream pie was phenomenal and the the soft serve is always a winner!
Overpriced for what it is. Interesting ideas for entrees that would be better if someone explained the uniqueness of the dish when it comes out. Some dishes need explanations on how to properly eat them.
Celebrating 2 birthdays & not even acknowledged.
The food is amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious! The service was excellent. Our only complaint was the pacing. It seemed like the kitchen was backed up and everyone was waiting for food. Perhaps it was just an off-night?
I choose everyday dining because the app would only let me select one option. The menu is varied enough that you could do that but it is more of a date or get together place. It is casual but delicious food. Expensive but quality ingredients. The portions are big. My husband and I could have shared an entree with our app. Enjoyed our experience and Tyson our server was great.
Amazing food, great service, fun atmosphere! Our fav in Honolulu!
Some of the most interesting tastes I’ve ever encountered. Loved the waitstaff and the relaxed atmosphere.
I used to be able to recommend The Pig and the Lady but I th8nkthw quality is suffering and the menu is stale—never changes, not as intriguing as it has been in the past. The seats are hard, noisy atmosphere.
Very tasty but pricey. I had the ahi toast for $16 chicken wings 6 pc for $17 and pho for $23. It was delicious. The service was excellent
First....If a reservation is made for 5:30...dont wait until exactly 5:30 to open the door!
Second...if you have a name like "pig and the lady", add some pork to your menu.
And train the hostess to smile...Ive never seen more of a snob face on anyone.
Food was good....but not what i expected from the reviews.
All in all, a bit over rated.
The starters were amazing, but the mains not so great for the price
Love the chicken wings!
We ate here a couple of years ago and it was very good. We thought we would give it a second try and it was even better! Will return when we visit Honolulu again.
I went with my mother and we loved everything we ate! My only disappointment was my mother and i are small eater so we did not have the opportunity to order more from the menu! :)
We found this place a few months ago and have been back a few times. Love the food and service. A visit to the cool kitchy bathroom is a must as well. I can't wait to go back and have another French dip Bahn mi, Yum!
