Food was excellent!
Delicious food, great happy hour specials.
We dined here for my husbands birthday and the food was definitely as great as i expected. The service was absolutely fantastic, great suggestions, great conversation and an overal great experience at the restaurant. We have the porchetta, bao buns and the pork ribs and they were all tender, juicy and delicious.
We loved the cool vibe that greeted us when we walked in. The staff is extremely pleasant , knowledgeable and efficient. The cocktails were fabulous, I had the Wilbur’s Old Fashioned. The food was great, we had the very delicious face bacon to start, our entrees were pork cheeks, and Moroccan spiced baby back ribs. We ended with Sticky Toffee Pudding. We will go back again.
Wow were we impressed. The Bloody Marys were awesome. Perfectly done and delicious. The food was absolutely outstanding. All the plates looked terrific and everyone was very happy with their meal and the service.
The service is terrible at The Pig. We had high hopes for this place. When our drinks arrived, our waitress knocked three drinks (a cocktail, a 9 oz glass of wine, and a glass of water) into my lap. My shirt and pants were drenched. That could be forgivable except the response from the restaurant was pathetic. I had to strip down to my t-shirt because my shirt and pants were soaking wet and smelled like liquor. The waitress simply replaced my order and that was it. In most restaurants, the manager will at least come over to the table to apologize and address the issue. Nobody ever came to the table to check on me or apologize. We did get a few extra napkins to clean up the mess ourselves. The entire experience was miserable, and I was embarrassed to have to eat my meal in my t-shirt. Also, my meal arrived cold, and we were charged full price. Don't waste your money here.
Service was great (we where in a little bit of a rush and the server graciously sped up the check), food was great (pork shank was delicious, Face Bacon was fatty, rich and tasty, the rest of are meal was also great) decor was causal, only complaint was it was a little noise.
Delicious! Highly recommend both the Thai curry and the porchetta. Service was also very good. We dined relatively early but I would still recommend making a reservation as it did fill up very quickly. I would definitely like to come back to try other dishes.
Sausages were brilliant. Ribs were delectable and pork chop tender and succulent. Great wine selection from non traditional countries
Two words: Face bacon. It was the highlight of our meal, and we wish we had ordered more of it. Also delicious: the Squealer Healer cocktail.
We had a great meal! Enjoyed the creative entrees. Would return again!
Great if you love pork!
Grad celebration with family and friends. Terrific menu. Pig lovers unite and don't stop at go. Take an uber or the metro. Parking in this area is tough enough as it is. Nothing left on anyone's dinner plate. Repeat. Nothing.
A little pricey but I guess that’s DC! We were more a fan of the apps and shareable plates as opposed to the entrees
Excellent pig. Friendly service. Not fancy, but real high quality pub ambiance.
Very good food and customer service!
Excellent food and very attentive waiter. Would definitely recommend for a friend.
Creative varieties of pork entrees! The food came out pretty quick...which worried me of undercooked meat...but everything was cooked thoroughly and tasted delicious. The service was great too!
Went here on a date and had a leisurely meal with a lot of talking. Sat near a speaker and the music didn't get loud until later, when we were wrapping it up. Server was really good, not pushy, but efficient and kind. We took her suggestions and were not disappointed. Good food; fun place. I will go back with a bigger appetite.
We have dined here before, and there are always great things on the menu that are worth trying and having again (e.g. face bacon). This time though, while the food was still good, it didn't seem as good as it has been in the past. In general it seemed a little bland and over cooked.
Our server wasn't as good as one would have expected either. She didn't know basic information, such as what ingredients are in the drinks on the drink menu (and basic information, such as whether it was gin or vodka-based), and didn't have a lot of information regarding how some of the food is prepared, or whether substitutions were allowed.
Overall, I would still recommend you try this place, esp if you are a fan of pork!
One of the best bartenders in DC and a pork menu to die for. Pork shank for the ages!
Really pleasant experience. Service is friendly but not annoyingly so. Even when the place was full, I could still (just) hear my friend across the table. Menu has options for non-pork-lovers like me (really yummy options, as a matter of fact—good mac and cheese and tasty salad). And the featured dishes, according to my companions, are fantastic. My husband said the cheek was “to die for.” We will definitely return.
Service was amazing and the food was really good. Loved the pairings of the meats and condiments on the little breakfast board; they were perfection!
Service was a little slow but food was good.
I did a sampling of a bunch of appetizers. The pig buns were super good. I can’t explain the bread, but it was different. Good use of interesting sauces. I had the buratta salad, which balanced all the pig eating. And for dessert, the sticky buns with ice cream hit the spot. Have a small selection of wines, but I did a lighter red and wasn’t disappointed. If you like pork... it’s a must stop and eat place. I’d recommend reservations for weekend nights.
We were very impressed with our bourbon cocktails! We also loved the sausage platter paired with the cheese platter. Our server was very attentive.
The service was great. I made a reservation and was seated immediately. The restaurant was very cozy and cute. The cocktails were delicious and unique. Happy hour prices were very good. I had the special for dinner, scallops with bacon, delicious. I would definitely come back.
The pork chop is amazing, the burger is just as good. Highly recommend this place.
The pork shank with the risotto was extremely good! Our server was very pleasant. Did very good recommendations. Allow us to do a wine tasting before ordering. Nice touch!
The Pig is a great place for a burger! Veggie lovers will also find wonderful things on the menu too. It's one of my favorite DC places!
Truly delicious for the "love of porky pig" YUMMY!!!
Great neighborhood spot with comfort food. Great service and solid execution on the food.
Sat on huge puddle of water on on of the metal chairs, pants were soaked. Pretty crappy way to start dinner. Not a good first impression. Food was excellent.
Was in town for a conference and came on Saturday with 2 co-workers. I thought everything was good but not the best. I had the burger, the fries were really good. The service was good, drink list was good, and I liked the atmosphere/ambiance.
Our party of 3 suddenly turned into a party of 7 when I realized that other family members were in town the same weekend as us. We called to change our reservation about 1 1/2 hours prior to our reservation and they were able to accommodate all of us which we truly appreciated. We all ordered different items from the menu including the Big Pig charcuterie board, face bacon, pork shank, burger, moroccan ribs, scallops, pork chop and porchetta. All were delicious but the standouts were the face bacon, shank, pork chop, porchetta and as stated by my family member, the scallops were the best ones she's ever had. The porchetta and face bacon just melted in your mouth they were so tender. The ribs were good, but a little on the dry side and I wasn't getting the moroccan spices in the flavor of the sauce. It just tasted like regular barbecue sauce. Our meal was capped off by dessert which we also enjoyed. We had the sticky toffee pudding which was amazing and also panna cotta, affogato, and a s'mores sundae. Our server was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Prices were on the high side for the amount of food given, but the flavors of the food made up for it. Would dine here again.
It was easy to make a last minute reservation for Saturday afternoon. The food was great and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. Its great that there is always something new to try on the menu.
Fabulous food and service! Loved it!!!
We had such a great time at The Pig. You HAVE to try the Face Bacon! Everything was delicious! The cocktails were yummy and creative, the meat selections were fantastic. We ordered the "Little Pig" charcuterie board and had to take some home because we couldn't finish it between the 3 of us. I highly recommend checking out The Pig!
The food and service were both amazing. Pork buns are out of this world. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food and knowledgeable wait staff. If you want pork this is the place to go.
