The Phoenix Restaurant
Great food, fantastic people!
I would recomend The Phoenix, we had the sunset special and was so good!! and the service was outstanding!
Servers are always very accommodating...Food is served Hot and as ordered...Its our choice for everyday dining and when we have family and guests at our Sunriver home...
WE LOV The Phoenix!
Generally a pleasant experience. My two companions were impressed with their entrees - meatloaf an crab cakes - but I was very disappointed in the fish and chips. The chips would have been ok but were soggy from the grease oozing from the fried cod. Way too greasy for any sensible taste. Might return to the Phoenix, but would you avoid the fish and chips.
We don't know how we have missed this place since we come to Central Oregon every year. Definitely will return!
Great food at pretty reasonable prices. Huge menu with lots of great selections to choose form.
The Phoenix is one of our favorite places to eat. It seems consistently 4 to 5 stars on everything. We have been disappointed the last two times we ordered the fish and chips. They went from being lightly breaded to heavy tempura that was over cooked. The service is always excellent and the staff is always friendly. The hostesses always do a great job too. We love the new reservation app.
Always get an excellent meal at the Phoenix, and the service is terrific! This is our first choice for dinner in Bend! We go quite frequently and it’s always consistently delicious.
Steaks are very tasty. I would say they slightly over cook than undercook them FYI. Try the house vinaigrette on a salad, it’s to die for!!! The 5 layer chocolate cake was very good for dessert. We went there twice on a weekend and both times service was slow.
Dined at The Phoenix on a Tuesday evening and it was moderately busy. I imagine in peak tourist season reservations would be a must. It seemed to me to have kind of steakhouse atmosphere; not sure why as it is not a steakhouse.
The crab cake appetizer was generous and well prepared. The chicken wings appetizer had a bit of heat to them but not overbearing.
The baby back ribs fell off the ribs (like they are supposed to) with a classic (probably from a bottle) BBQ sauce (the sauce was good).
The Phoenix salad (small) was very generous and with the addition of grilled salmon was and ample dinner portion. The Phoenix dip was also nicely done.
Our family eats at the Phoenix frequently. They are consistently good in food quality and service. This particular visit was really good. Our server was great. Very considerate of our need to be out of there fairly quickly, and have part of our order ready to go at the end of our meal.
Consistently good food and great service. Menu is diverse enough for anyone to find something and everything is prepared with a nice touch. Worth the visit!
We eat there all the time. Love happy hour
We've eaten at The Phoenix many times. It is always a great value and the food is yummy.
Food took a long time, But everyone enjoyed the food!
The service was friendly and outstanding and the food was very good. The menu was diverse and catered to a lot of peoples different tastes. It’s not the most healthy minded fare but if your looking for that your looking for something specific anyway! We would go back for sure.
The only issue at the restaurant is the wait time at the bar. As well as lack of sitting at the bar on a Saturday night. The restaurant has always had a fantastic wait staff and chefs. The crème brûlée is a must have when you visit the Phoenix but plan on sharing it with at least one friend. Always make reservations in advance and we have never had to wait. Recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an absolute Epicurean delight
Your restaurant is one of my husband's favorite places. I suggested we celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary there and he was very happy about that. We arrived early for the Sunset Menu option so that my husband would have time to have his desired 2 two glasses of beer before his dinner was served. We asked our server if that would be ok and she said it would be and then was very watchful to make sure he had his two beers at the right time and dinner was served after his last gulp! She was terrific. Also, she told me that for my dinner, I could have the halibut taco plate served in the dining room. We were surprised because we thought we had been told it could not be served there, but only in the bar area. That was wonderful because we had been either been ill informed or mistaken in our understand. So our attentive server straightened that out and now we can both have the dinner we want in the same area from here on out!
Excellent food and service! Be sure to make a reservation to avoid a wait time!
This is one of my favorite "go-to" restaurants where I often entertain business representatives. This last dinner, April 8th was less than satisfactory. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it arrived as a very tiny portion ($18.00!) and was so terribly over cooked that I barely ate I/3. Very disappointed.
As always, great for a birthday get together.
Solid restaurant good food and libation. Not pretentious. Is what it is supposed to be.
While reasonably priced, we found the food to be over cooked and the atmosphere overwhelmingly busy and loud. I guess lots of people like it, though.
We came for my sons birthday 😊. Thank you it was very yummy!
Great service, delicious food. The spinach appetizer is wonderful....staff super friendly...excellent menu selection and prompt food delivery....
While it was a busy time when we arrived, we were treated well, if not a bit slow... But it was most understandable.
Always great food, good choices and very good service.
Good service; nice place, easy to get into with a reservation. Food is not outstanding, but OK at a reasonable price. A good alternative for a meal out!
We love it!!!
Will always go back!
Best restaurant in Bend. Food was delicious and well priced. The lounge food and service excellent, but the music too loud.
We took some friends to the Phoenix for their first time and everything was perfect. Steaks cooked perfect. You guys never fail to deliver.
Great beer selection and super tasty steaks. Went here for my birthday, ordered the rib eye and my husband got the New York. We both were blown away by the flavor and agreed they were the best steaks we’ve ever had at a restaurant. If you’re looking for a long tap list and some delicious red meat, this is the place for you.
Overall a great place to grab dinner. Our waitress was great, drinks were good, crab bisque was fantastic, the prime rib a bit overpriced but all in all was a good dinner. Reservations on opentable are key to sitting right down.
Great place to meet friends and have a wonderful meal! Will be going again next time we are in the area.
We had Mari as a waitress and she is the best I have had in a long time! I wish more servers were like her.
We love Phoenix!❤️
We ordered a filet and Mahi Mahi. Both were cooked beautifully!! I was sooo impressed !
Fantastic lunch. Food was amazing. Great staff. Fast service and friendly
The food and drinks were good. We ordered wings and asked to have them extra crispy. When they arrived, they were not crispy at all, so we returned them. Everything else was good.
We had a reservation, made a point to note it when making our reservation, then let our sever know. We were sat in the back of the restaurant by a metal wall? Which was extremely cold considering it was freezing outside. Most of the people seated around us still had their coats on too. Our server was pretty much absent. We watched as the other server in our area was on it with her tables. It really was to bad since our daughter was so excited to celebrate her 7th birthday at the Phoenix. Pretty sure we will not return.
