The Phoenix Restaurant
The Phoenix has consistently good food and service.
Love the Phonix, great food, servers are always great.
We enjoyed our meal. Our server, Mari, was amazing. She had many tables and a few large groups and we were treated with amazing service.
We each had the 3 choice menu. Choice of soup or salad. Choice of 6 entrees that are individually priced. My wife's soup was bang on as was my salad. She chose chicken Marsala which came with seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes, all for $21. Her chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, with a wonderful cream Marsala sauce. I had the 8 oz. Double R Sirloin for $21. The steak that ordered medium rare was grilled to perfection and juicy. The steak came with the same seasonal veggies and creamy mashed potatoes. For dessert there were two choices. My wife had the key lime tart. I had a very large creme brulee. We shared both and were delighted.
Our server, Drew, knows how to please. He described the special entree of the day. He gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu. He asked us if we had any questions. He kept our water glasses topped off. He had a bright smile. He respected our privacy. He provided take home boxes. A real pro!
Great server and excellent soup and sandwich! We will return.
The Phoenix is one of our favorite restaurants in Bend. The food is exceptional and very generous. Our only wish is that the ambience could be less noisy, but we also realize that's the way it is for casual restaurants.
Consistently great food and service and love happy hour too!
Great food, and service. We will definitely be going there again soon.
Best restaurant in Bend. These people have their act together!
The asparagus was not trimmed so it was woody and inedible other wise meal was good.
Service was outstanding, food was serviced hot and tasty. Warm rolls and since this was a birthday celebration, we were given a free desert. Thank goodness....NO happy birthday was sung. Very enjoyable experience.
A very pleasant experience for our 50th Anniversary. Excellent in all respects.
Always a good choice. Good selection of a variety of entrees with reasonable pricing. Popular, on a Sunday evening we were glad we had a reservation.
Mother/daughter lunch was a fun get together. The food was delicious too!
A lovely lunch with long time friends! Our server was gracious in letting us know we could linger longer! All of s chose the Asian Salad and it was delicious. 3 credit cards was no problem!
Always a positive experience. Nothing over the top just great food and great service for a reasonable price.
My wife and I found this gem on a recent trip to Bend. For starters, the warm bread is superb, the house vinaigrette salad dressing is so good we had to buy some to take home. Then there is the awesome flavor of the steaks and pork brisket!!! We are already planning our trip back to Bend so we can eat here again!!!
I ordered the prime rib. It was good, not outstanding, but good. Compared to other prime rib I’ve had recently, it was overpriced by at least $7.00. I won’t be ordering it again.
Ladies luncheon, service always great, food too. Salads so fresh, thank you. It’s in the neighborhood and so wonderful!
The Phoenix has been a regular for us, whether for lunch or dinner. The food & service has always been good - never any surprises there.
Our waitress was fantastic. All of us enjoyed the food. Very good salads.
Menu sounded astounding, food looked great and tasted wonderful!.
The Phoenix is the go to place, forget getting a table during happy hour in the bar, although I do love their bar menu, always so crowded, but there's a reason for that it is Great! The restaurant is always nice and the noise level is much better, but like the bar menu for myself better, you must always make a reservation even on a Tuesday night. Great place our go to!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We come every time we visit Bend.
Solid food and servers are always friendly and pleasant. One of our favorite Friday night, end of the work week date spots.
Excellent service, ate dinner using the sunset menu, steak and chicken. Both were well prepared and flavorful. Professional server made the meal even better.
From the salad, to the bread, to the steaks that my wife and I had...Everything was excellent!
The house made vinaigrette dressing on the salads is to die for. My wife wanted to take some home but we couldn't keep it cool as long as needed.
We had (2) helping of the soft bread and did take some home to enjoy later!
The sirloin steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted excellent. Very juicy and tender with fantastic flavor.
The atmosphere is knotty pine and all the seating is booths, which we enjoy. Every time we are in Bend this is the ONLY place we eat... period!
Best steak dinner we’ve had in a long time !!!!! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!!!!
Average food, large salad sizes so split them and order on light side.
The food was mediocre. The grilled shrimp Caesar Salad barely had any croutons and the shrimp was over cooked. The food server didn’t offer any cracked black pepper.
Great food, fantastic people!
I would recomend The Phoenix, we had the sunset special and was so good!! and the service was outstanding!
Servers are always very accommodating...Food is served Hot and as ordered...Its our choice for everyday dining and when we have family and guests at our Sunriver home...
WE LOV The Phoenix!
Generally a pleasant experience. My two companions were impressed with their entrees - meatloaf an crab cakes - but I was very disappointed in the fish and chips. The chips would have been ok but were soggy from the grease oozing from the fried cod. Way too greasy for any sensible taste. Might return to the Phoenix, but would you avoid the fish and chips.
We don't know how we have missed this place since we come to Central Oregon every year. Definitely will return!
Great food at pretty reasonable prices. Huge menu with lots of great selections to choose form.
The Phoenix is one of our favorite places to eat. It seems consistently 4 to 5 stars on everything. We have been disappointed the last two times we ordered the fish and chips. They went from being lightly breaded to heavy tempura that was over cooked. The service is always excellent and the staff is always friendly. The hostesses always do a great job too. We love the new reservation app.
Always get an excellent meal at the Phoenix, and the service is terrific! This is our first choice for dinner in Bend! We go quite frequently and it’s always consistently delicious.
Steaks are very tasty. I would say they slightly over cook than undercook them FYI. Try the house vinaigrette on a salad, it’s to die for!!! The 5 layer chocolate cake was very good for dessert. We went there twice on a weekend and both times service was slow.
Dined at The Phoenix on a Tuesday evening and it was moderately busy. I imagine in peak tourist season reservations would be a must. It seemed to me to have kind of steakhouse atmosphere; not sure why as it is not a steakhouse.
The crab cake appetizer was generous and well prepared. The chicken wings appetizer had a bit of heat to them but not overbearing.
The baby back ribs fell off the ribs (like they are supposed to) with a classic (probably from a bottle) BBQ sauce (the sauce was good).
The Phoenix salad (small) was very generous and with the addition of grilled salmon was and ample dinner portion. The Phoenix dip was also nicely done.
