My favorite Irish pub-like place, Jack's on 40th, alas closed in February, so I have been looking around for a replacement. Friends recommended the Perfect Pint. It is a good alternative, though it is more pub than restaurant--Jack's was the opposite. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced. The food is very good, portions are decent, and prices fare for food as well. One complaint" I was casually still eating my appetizer when the entrée was delivered--they need to pace food delivery better.
I usually go with a work colleague and like to choose to sit downstairs. The service is always great!! Food is just as good! Most definitely will be returning and have recommended this place to my friends.
What a lovely Irish Pub with delicious food! Perfect location for a bite to eat before a show!
I specified rooftop only. They gave me the second floor, two floors below. The food was over cooked and the service was completely lacking.
As always, The Perfect Pint offers some really good food (and a great selection of beers) at an affordable price. It is my “go to” pub destination when I am in the area.
The service was great and the food delicious.
The food was great!!!
Overall, the food was good. The salmon appetizer was delicious. Service was excellent. Downstairs is a lively (and very noisy) bar. We ate in the dining area on the 2nd floor. There is also a rooftop bar, but the weather was lousy so we didn’t head there.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. All of us enjoyed our food.
Very convenient from the theaters- Friendly staff, great food and good atmosphere.
stopped by for a Ceeseburger before Escapeto Margaritaville, also a perfect pint of Smithwick's!
Upstairs in room with glass door so insulated from downstairs bar noise, but therre are also bar tables if you want to join the crowd!
Sevice lovely, burger perfect and good fries!
Great food with great service, found after Broadway play. The food was tasty and filling. The service was spot on and very friendly.
Excellent service and food. The fish and chips were the best we've had in a long time. Done right. Delicious. Thank you.
Great food and atmosphere with family great place to eat
A little loud and a little pricey but it is theater district of N Y
Great food. Excellent service. Dining room upstairs was nice and quiet, a nice change from the hustle and bustle of NYC
Very professional staff who know the meaning of "service". We had two very active young boys but our waitress was so very patient. The food and drinks were excellent and they were served in very timely fashion. All together a wonderful. enjoyable and relaxing dining experience.
Good food. Service was excellent. Perfect restaurant for pre-theatre dining.
A really great spot for a pint. So many selections, not over priced and incredible service. A perfect after work spot of place to meet for a business meeting (sans boogie meeting of course, keep that for Old King Cole ;)
The Perfect Pint name really says it all! Good beer and food!
Service was fantastic as well as the food. Had Family in from out of town and they loved it!
Will definitely come back.
This restaurant was great! The staff was so polite and helpful! Will definitely be coming back!
The food was middling - but the prices were good and the ability to sit down and have a pre-theater drink without battling crowds and noise also a plus. The waiters/greeters were great.
It was my niece’s birthday and we came here before seeing a show. It exceeded my expectations. Everything was great, from the service to the food to the prices. It will be my new go-to place before seeing a show.
Great pre- or post- theatre spot! Very accommodating to all size parties; nice for date or groups. We enjoyed friendly service & terrific more than just pub options.
Great food, great service. Eating on second floor lends itself to a quieter environment.
This place is AMAZING!! We were so happy we choice to eat here before seeing a show. The food was absolutely delicious and came out so quickly after we ordered, we were shocked. Our waiter was really nice and even the manager came around to every table to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a cozy, laid back place with great food and we loved everything about it. Definitely going back!!
This was the perfect place for us to catch the 4:30 football game and get to a play next door.
Friend and I had dinner here before heading to an evening play. Had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Service was very quick and attentive without us feeling rushed even though we had not mentioned having to make a curtain. We split the Chicken Lemon Grass Dumplings--fresh and tasty. I had the Shepherd's Pie and my friend had the Greek Goddess salad as a main. We both enjoyed our food. We were on the second floor which can get noisy when busy but you can still hold conversation. As we left, the main floor with a big bar crowd was extremely noisy so avoid that area for dinner unless you do not mind the noise.
Came here for dinner before seeing Billy Joel. Food was surprisingly good for an Irish Pub! Highly recommend the lemongrass chicken dumplings. My husband & I both had a burger. The burger was cooked perfectly and seasoned really nicely. Dessert and coffee was delicious as well! Wait staff and owners were very friendly. Only downside was toward the end of the meal when a large group came into the upstairs bar area. We then lost our waitress and waited a while before another waiter came to give/take our bill. Other than that, it was a nice experience. Would return!
We got there with 45 minutes before a show. We informed them upon arrival and they moved so quickly and the food was really great 😃
Excellent pub atmosphere near Times Square. Lamb burgers were awesome!
Love the Perfect Pint- East and West side- great staff and great food- highly recommended
Service is always great as well as the food. Will most definitely be returning.
Nice spot in mid town Manhattan that is a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city, warm and friendly with decent food and good draft beer selection
Unfortunately the food and service was slow for a business lunch.
The servers were very accommodating to my 4 year old son who is Gluten Free.
I had a reservation that didn't appear to be needed. The restaurant was mostly empty, but not sure if that is because it was Thanksgiving or not. The location was perfect, only about five blocks or so from Rockefeller Center, making this a great spot to pop into for a bite after seeing the tree. I ordered Irish chicken fingers which were just plain old regular ones. They were good and cooked perfectly. For my main course, I ordered the shepherd's pie, which while tasty and filling, had what seemed to be instant potatoes that were very dry. The presentation was very nice and the food was filling. For dessert, I ordered a brownie sundae which was supremely delicious. I would go back another time and try another traditional Irish dish as the service was excellent and my waitress was actually from Ireland, making the experience that much better.
We arrived late for our reservation. The restaurant was not crowded. We were in and out in an hour for our theater plans. Service was wonderful, timely and friendly. Calamari was surprisingly good for a pub! Big beer menu and our entrees were all delicious. (skip the nachos)
We would definitely recommend the Perfect Pint for a casual meal.
Awesome, went for lunch pre- theatre, fast service, delicious food, went back for dessert!
Freshest beers and wonderful selection.
Will be back:)
