First time but not our last! Our server Zach was amazing and gave us great recommendations. Food was fresh and flavorful and exceeded our expectations. The decor is a little outdated and could use a more modern touch, but overall the ambiance was enjoyable. Definitely would recommend.

Where else in Charlotte county can you enjoy Fried Hen of The Woods Mushroom, Whipped Ricotta & Goat Cheese, Sea Salt, Truffle Oil? Post-pandemic Perfect Caper continues it's high level "fit for foodies." We never fail to dine here whenever we're visiting from out of town.

This restaurant consistently delivers great food and great service. Our group had the Pig & Fig (pork chop), crab cakes, and scallops. All were excellent. We started with the perfect caper pate and spicy calamari. Linda was an attentive server. This gem of a restaurant nestled in Punta Gorda is an amazing culinary find.

Everything was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. The food was perfectly prepared. My husband is very fussy about how his steak is cooked and he was very happy with it.

Perfect spot for our special occasion dinner. The service was great. The food was delicious. And the wine list has lots of good choices. We were not rushed and really enjoyed the atmosphere. If you are a foody you will really enjoy what The Perfect Caper has to offer. My wife’s duck and my veal chop was cooked to perfection. We shared the Carrot Cake for dessert & it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The friendly, customer oriented staff really make you feel special…you will not be disappointed!

The Perfect Caper was excellent! Service was attentive and well paced. We never felt rushed or ignored. Food was perfect in every way. Menu was creative, yet approachable and every dish we had was well prepared and memorable. I don’t regularly give five stars, but The Perfect Caper earned it.

Perfect Caper never disappoints!! While it takes an hour and a half to get there it is so worth. Zach was a wonderful server, Too many choices of what I would love to order, and some specials too, The tempura shrimp with asparagus was so delicious -- and the GF seven layer chocolate cake is to die for......

We drive up from Naples to meet friends from Sarasota and always come to your restaurant. This time we felt the luncheon menu was not as interesting and the food, while fine, was not as good as we remember. The ambience is always good for conversation.

This was our first visit to The Perfect Caper and it was a delightful experience with very good friends that we had not seen in many years. The food was exquisite and the wine list selections were excellent. Our server, Zach, made the entire experience memorable by describing the creative cuisine elegantly and providing very attentive service. I am a big fan of chef Jeanie Roland and her restaurant Ella’s in Westerly, RI. When I found myself in the Punta Gorda,FL area visiting family I was excited to try her other restaurant, The Perfect Caper. Unfortunately our service was slow and absentminded and we witnessed was a loud and uncomfortble argument between restaurant workers during our lunch. The grilled chicken breast served with our salads was extremely dry, so much so that we needed to request more dressing to moisten it to enable us to swallow it. The experience and food were very disappointing, especially after raving to our family about Ella’s.

We just needed an evening out to relax and enjoy ourselves. As always, the Perfect Caper was the perfect venue for it. The food is superb, the service attentive without being intrusive, and the ambiance is lovely and lively without being too much. A great favorite and I am so glad it’s here.

The food was very good, the waitress was outstanding very helpful and attentive. The manager who I'm assuming it was came up to my husband in a rude way told him to take off his hat. Yet there was a man at the table next to us that wore his hat the entire time and never was asked to take it off. My husband has an Army Veteran hat not sure if that was the reason. This same person manager I assume went to all the tables and checked on the people, but never came to us other than to tell my husband to take off his hat.

This is one of the best restaurants that we just enjoy so much. We always have great friendly service. My partner is celiac and they are knowledgeable and make accommodations Most items are gf except the pasta They have vegan options too which is excellent My partner was so happy to get gf bread Thank you Perfect Caper!!
