Since inception, The Citizen has been the spot to enjoy wine, cheese and chocolate and to celebrate these perfect pairings without the price tag and fuss that often accompanies them. As our physical space expanded, allowing for a formal dining room known as The People’s Kitchen, we further developed our menu to apply our expertise and craftsmanship to artisanal products, whether purchased or prepared in-house. Dry-aged steaks, house-butchered charcuterie, burgers, sandwiches, comfort dishes and wholesome monthly entrées are all prepared honestly and offer a sense of place and depth of flavor. The Citizen is open everyday, while our formal dining room is available only Wednesday through Saturday, and our world-class cocktail bar Still & Stir is open on Friday and Saturday. This was our second time at your restaurant and we took two friends. We especially enjoy the quiet spacious atmosphere and of course the food is always a new, different treat.

Was very disappointed in the service I didn't finish my meal and asked for to be boxed up and they threw it away received coffee and it was warm not hot. Waitress didn't offer bread we had to ask for it had to ask for the oil for the bread asked her about an item on the menu which could explain it is very disappointed in her service

Excellent dinner, enjoyable evening, creative menu. Kitchen was on point!
TIP: Use the free valet parking. Street parking is limited and metered, and the parking lots are expensive.

I'm editing this to add one caveat and anecdotal warning. You can order a dozen or half dozen oysters at slightly reduced prices, however that apparently is voided if it comprises more than one variety, in which case it will be charged ala carte. Fine, except I specifically asked and was assured by the server that it was possible to have a half dozen oysters with two varieties, so I was surprised by the higher charge on the bill. When I kindly brought the issue to the server's attention, she rebuffed me instead of inquiring with a manager. I found this to be petty, but not that big of a deal, so I simply provided feedback about the experience in a private note to the restaurant. Having received no reply, I decided to share it publicly, since I can only assume the management has no intention to addressing (or even defending) the issue.

This issue aside, it was an otherwise wonderful experience.

This is the first time we ate upstairs and were concerned that the smell from the cigar bar next door would be problematic. While we did detect a slight cigar scent when first seated, once to food came it was fine. One of the best Groupons around for your prix fixe menu. We actually like the atmosphere downstairs better although the bar can get loud. We've been about ten times and have never been disappointed. Consistently professional wait staff as well, which is delightful . We definitely recommend! Have eaten with friends who have a young child and it worked out fine.

As always, everything was perfect. We started with the chef's board and oysters. Both were delicious. Our drinks and sandwiches were just as good. A great meal!

The downstairs vibe is casual so if you want to have a formal dining experience, go upstairs. The wait staff upstairs makes you feel like you are at a fine dining establishment, whereas downstairs you feel like you are at a bar. They do not serve bread with your meal downstairs, only upstairs, even if you are having the three course meal
The food is okay to pretty good, depending on what you order. Portion sizes for the appetizers, entree and dessert were large.
The servers that bring you the food are very nice.

Very nice food, ambiance and service the best from Kailie. We had the fix menu , the bone in sirloin, the tenderloin pork and the oysters and we loved it. The place it's so nice. The valet guys were so nice as well. Thanks.

We pulled up to The People's Kitchen and were informed by the vallet that he could not park our car because, "The cops are watching me." So we parked in a private lot. It was a weird start to a weird night at The People's Kitchen.

Then we entered the restaurant and were told by the hostess that the kitchen had closed due to a technical glitch. We were informed that we could still order cheese (...was that the good news?) or we could go eat at Mezcal up the street. We decided to just stay for one drink.

After having our cocktail, I had to flag down our invisible waitstaff twice to pay for our drinks. At one point, I place my wallet directly on the table and hoped that I could pay for our bill via wallet osmosis. The cocktails were good.

Now, normally I don't expect special treatment while I'm out to eat. But if you've booked reservations at a restaurant, and the kitchen is closed unexpectedly, wouldn't you offer some of that amazing cheese to your customers?

So, in closing, in our most recent visit to The People's Kitchen, we could not park our car, eat, or pay for our bill, all in a restaurant that was (not surprisingly) quite empty for a Friday night.

The best part of the story is that my date didn't want to go there in the first place because she's had similarly odd experiences each time she's gone there. Thanks to The People's Kitchen for proving her right. Again.

The chef board is the best Charcuterie and cheese in Worcestrer. However the value is only 4 star, because you cannot add additional cheese on to the chef board for a discount.

Our Server was doing the best she could with the kitchen staff be short handed so we could not fault her for that. The bar and kitchen were so backed up that it was getting ridiculous waiting for our food. We had to have 3 servings of bread just to keep the hangries from coming out.
When the food did finally come it was delightful even though they ran out of soft shell crabs so I had to get the lamb skewers. The first lab skewer was over cooked and dry so I had to send it back and it was replaced with a medium rare juicy perfect skewer.

Atmosphere was good, location next to DCU was great , but food was just okay. We tried a bunch of items but nothing impressed us, not terrible, but not amazing either. Mixed drinks were bad. Stick to wines.
