Reservations for 9:00. Seated at 9:20. Service very slow. Although once you started your courses they came in rapid succession
DEspite the reservation, we were seated in the bar area, which was very noisy. It took 45 minutes to have a drinks order taken. Happily, we were not in a rush, and could just relax and take our time. I think the place is seriously understaffed for a high end restaurant. The food is great, but the service and ambiance was not up to the same standard as the food.
We had to send back the scallops as they were very undercooked. The cocktails were average at best, and the server was nothing special. The noise level was so loud that you could not carry on a conversation. Will not be back
Classic New Orleans eatery. Ample/just right portion sizes. The food was appealing to the eye and tastebuds alike. Will definitely return!
The concierge from our hotel recommended this restaurant. Said it is where he goes to dinner. Definitely more local vibe. Service was outstanding. We did the pre fixe, very happy with our selections. The scallop and artichoke appetizer was delicious. Would definitely come here on our next visit
Fantastic duck dish and Louisiana ciopini! Excellent Pecan Pie. Great service!
Absolutely wonderful in every way
We have been dining at the Pelican Club for over 20 years. We have family in New Orleans and whenever we are in town this is where we go! There are so many great restaurants in N.O.and the Pelican Club is one of the best. Our waiters Jason and Nathan made sure we had the greatest dining experience and gave excellent recommendations.
Great food. The lamb and the bread pudding are fantastic.
Great food amazing value. Don’t go there unless your hungry
The food was good. They brought out soft butter and garlix for the bread which I consider mandatory. The trio of duckling was sublime. The variety complimented one another and it was more than simply satisfying, it was amazing!
Delicious foods and excellent service
My entree (Louisiana Ciappino ) was not as ,good as my wife's rack of lamb. Our server was very attentive and highlighted some of the menu selections. Frankly speaking, for New Orleans food, it was not what I expected.
Food was very good. Had an excellent 4 course menu.
Just ok. Noisy. Service slow. Linguine overcooked.
We were disappointed in the service. We bought a bottle of wine and had to ask twice to have our glasses refilled. Never got water refilled even after asking. The room was so loud we were at a table for 2 and could barely hear each other. It is just big with no carpet or drapes so everything is amplified. The servers were constantly moving, maybe more concerned with the big tables and just neglected us. Out of 4 nights of dining in New Orleans the only disappointment. We will not go back.
Continue to dine here every time we visit the French Quarter, often more than once each trip. The food is outstanding, the service impeccable and the atmosphere a quiet and elegant respite from the bustle outside.
Outstanding service and food!! This was our 2nd visit and it did not dissapoint! We enjoyed the barbeque shrimp appetizer, the lamb chops, steak, fresh fish. All were wonderful and then we ended with the lightest bread pudding and best cononut cream pie ever! Worth a visit!
Had a fantastic meal coupled with outstanding service. Gio(?) and Jason took great care of us and all other staff were super-friendly. Well done!
This is the best restaurant in New Orleans. Great service, great bar tender then a really wonderful meal. The whole fish is remarkable!
Had reservation, had to wait for table but that was ok. Our server had minimal interaction with us. Took longer than expected to get drinks. Food was great. Dining room was very noisy
Always a great experience - especially for our 38th Anniversary! Food was delicious and service was great. Highly recommend The Pelican Club for any occasion!
Great staff and waiter was attentive and fun. Food was very good but not exceptional. Would definitely go again.
The entire dining experience was first rate. The restaurant is beautiful. The service by Jason was top notch. The food choices were great. The prices were high but no higher than any of the better more well known restaurants in Nola only better. I had never heard of this restaurant but glad I read reviews about it on Trip Advisor. If you want an elegant dining experience--make a reservation her.
Went to dinner for a 30th birthday and food and service were phenomenal, they even put a little candle in the creme brûlée. Been here before and will definitely return!
Very comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was very upbeat and pleasant. We ordered all small plates as we were going to a performance, it worked out perfect. Food was delicious.
We were visiting New Orleans and had been here before! It was as good if not better than 15 years ago!!!
We had the pre-fix which was a great value and food excellent! The only negative comment was the escargot was dry and needed more garlic.
I had the Filet, my husband the Rack of Lamb !
Will definitely go back.
Great Pecan pie also!
An excellent menu to select from. Also had a good selection of wines from which to choose. For a very slow time at the beginning of the evening our waiter seemed to be in a big hurry to get us in and out quickly. We certainly were not rushing him. When we entered the restaurant the maitre'd seated us in the street side room that we had entered. Though it was also the bar area, that was never a factor as far as noise. We were the first table to be seated. By the end of our meal the table to either side of us were filled plus one other on the opposite side of the entry door. Still pretty quiet. However we did overhear our waiter tell an adjacent table of being from New York. If he's Mr. Hustle perhaps he should return to NY. Other than the waiter a very good place. The food was excellent.
First of all we were squeezed into a table /half booth next to a large table full of very loud women. Our food was wrong the entire meal and when the entrées were served I was given an appetizer instead of the entrée I ordered. Our server said she would have the kitchen make the entrée I ordered but at that point my husband's food was on the table so I declined. We stopped for takeout on the way home so I could have a meal. The waitress did however comp my dessert.
This FIVE STAR restaurant truly lived up to it legacy this past Easter Sunday afternoon. Both the service and cuisine was exceptional even during this busy holiday. Both the prices and portion sizes were in line too. So often in the nouveau restaurants, the portions are small and the food is not recognizable.
The Pelican Club's menu is also diversified enough to satisfy anyone's palate.
Overall, our experience was very delightful. By the way, this coveted restaurant is nestled on a very small side street in the French Quarter that gives you the feeling you're in Paris. In fact, there are some tables on the sidewalk so one can enjoy the ambiance old New Orleans.
Can't wait to go back.
Easter Brunch. Very good
Food and atmosphere were fantastic!
We had a wonderful dinner. Food was delicious. Would be nice if they offered a fish dish that did not come with the head on it. Messes with my head to be stared at by a dead fish. Don't care for the tail on it either.
Great find while walking around the quarter. Impressed with the quality of service and VFM
Lovely restaurant, it was a perfect place to get out of the chaos of The French Quarter. Good food, beautiful restaurant and great service.
One of the best if not the best meal I ever had in New Orleans!
Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was an excellent choice! We all had the pre fixe menu and every coarse was delicious. The service was excellent as well. Thank you for a great experience.
Great wine, food and service.
Excellent food, always a favoritre when in NOLA.
Food was very good. Service not so much.
