Food was good service was okay two Waiters working our section one sucked but the other one Burt was attentive and made up for it initially came in and the maitre d try to get us to sit in the front at the bar area when it was our anniversary thought that was a little weird but overall okay
Reservation was taken on time, service was excellent, food was delicious. We will be back next time we are in NOLA!
Very good food, nice location.
The restaurant accommodated us by putting us in the quietest area of the restaurant , the area I call the club room . We were served by 2 servers. Jason was outstanding. He was attentive, informative and accommodating . The other server was not . In fact he almost spilled a glass of wine when he abruptly put it on the table. Our appetizers were great. My husband had the baked oysters and I had the barbecued shrimp. The shrimp dish had Thai flavors with rice noodles in a delectable broth. My husband had the gulf fish dish which was delectable and perfectly seasoned. I had the rack of lamb. The lamb flag or was wonderful and temp wise was perfectly cooked. However, the lamb was overly crusted and overly sauced. The presentation lacked the usual elegance of a rack presentation. It was placed on top of truffled mashed potatoes and veggies. - soggy, sauce too harsh and forget tasting any truffle.
Great food - felt very personalized and vintage New Orleans. Fantastic art and ambiance. A new favorite for an occasional visitor to town. Highly recommend the flounder and the bread pudding. Everything was delicious.
Host was NOT a nice guy. Server was young and inexperienced. Got mostly everything wrong but was so sweet it didn’t bother us at all. Food was delicious
Great all around. Good and service were exceptional. Loved the crispy flounder.
Very good food and service. It was a bit loud and bright, as we were expecting a quiet place.
The food and service was very good to excellent. My only issue was at the speed of which food came out. We placed our order, the waiter left and almost immediately returned with our food. We still had our apps on the table when the food runner came out and asked if he should hold our entrees for a few minutes. Um yeah, we are still working on our apps can't you see that? I think our apps and entrees were served in less than 30 minutes. We were barely finished our first glass of wine when the entrees came out. I felt like I was in one of those restaurants with a timer on our table. "You have one hour and must leave." When we ordered dessert I asked for them to wait until we finished the entire bottle of wine before bringing the food and after dinner drinks. I should not have to coach this caliber of a restaurant on this. For the record, they did oblige to my request. (2 diners).
Overall it was quite good but ridiculously noisy. Wine list had reasonable choices at reasonable prices that paired well.
Authentic quality New Orleans experience up and down the menu.
Food was very good, interesting menu. The waiter spilled our bottle of red wine on one of the attendees. Probably about 1/4 of the bottle and we were offered a $32 bill adjustment which represented half the bottle cost. That was inappropriate considering the attendee will likely need to toss the shirt and the impact it had on our evening.
Great food and great service. Despite the restaurant not being over full it was noisy - the floor was marble and so echoed the sound, however we would definitely go back again. We had the pork chop & fish plate , excellent!!
Food was great. Waiter was more interested in the tables inside. We dined outside. Other than that grouper was a hit
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. A wonderful New Orleans experience.
The food was exceptional!
A great place. We’ve visited NOLA numerous times and never been there. So glad we tried it!
Kinda of a hidden gem in the Quarter
Food was excellent. Noise level a bit too high.
We had an early reservation, so our dining room was empty. It also meant the staff had nothing to do. We had to listen to their banter and bad jokes. We had a fruit fly problem in our corner booth. They were kind enough to take $7.00 off the bill for our fly problem. The food was great and I’d go back, I just wouldn’t do it at 5:30 in the evening. The lack of maturity on the staff and the flies led to a less than relaxed dinner.
Menu selections are just a bit different from the norm, making each intriguing. Preparation and presentation are excellent. Our waiter, Maxwell, was attentive, not intrusive. A delifgtful experience.
I will definitely be back! My husband and I had a great time - the food was amazing and the service was even better.
This was our first visit to this restaurant, everything was delicious and the service was very good. I am a bit frugal, so I found it a little pricey, but it turn out to be a very enjoyable and satisfying evening. I won't hesitate to return for special occasions.
It was wonderful except we said it was a birthday celebration and it was not acknowledged
They overcharged me on my bill.
Loved e everything about it!!! Thank you all!!!
The Pelican Club was absolutely fantastic! I went with some coworkers while in New Orleans for a conference. It was a little expensive and 100% worth the money! Best meal we had!
It took longer than usual for dinner wine to arrive but otherwise excellent experience. Delicious pecan pie compensated for the time!
Dined here 3 nights in a row while working a convention in town. Took a different set of customers each night. Service, staff and food was consistent and good. Will return here next time in town. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a local flavor.
I make a point to visit Pelican Club whenever I’m in New Orleans and I have never been anything but delighted.
Great service, excellent food, nice location. One of the best dinners we have had.
Set within the French Quarter down a charming picturesque court area. This is an elegant well run establishment with good food and wine at reasonable prices but it’s not cheap. The Prix fixe menu is good value and with a good balanced selection of dishes.
One of my favorites in the Quarter!
Delaney made the dinner! SUPER personality and did a great job on just her second night of working at this old New Orleans established restaurant. The trio of duckling was excellent, though the confit was only warm. The broiled oysters to start was outstanding as was my wife’s salad with endive, grapefruit and goat cheese. Her fresh catch of the day was indeed that, served with succotash. The coconut cream pie for dessert was the best I’ve ever had. Shoutout to Vicky who was watching over Delaney during in her training.
Absolutely my most favorite restaurant!!
The rack of lamb is to die for!!
This is a high class restaurant that does everything right: food, service, and atmosphere. The Pre Fixe menu is the best.
A hidden gem in the French Quarter. Excellent service and a delicious meal. Our server was informative and attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans to put this restaurant on their list.
Our first table was in the main dining room. Two very large tables were next to us so it was extremely loud. We asked to be moved. The manager was extremely accommodating and moved us to the second room which was better. Food was good except the appetizer ribs were average. Expensive for a small portion and were not very tasty. But overall it was a fun nite.
Great Resturant for entertaining business clients
Rack of lamb returned to kitchen because temperate ordered was medium and what was delivered was raw when it was returned it was closer to well done
From entering the matre de was very abligeing our waiter attentive and congenial. The food was just awsome ,seafood at its best. They have the best coconut cream pie that I have ever had. The dinner and evening couldn't have been, better only regret was we couldn't have afew more meals there!
