   The food and drinks on the menu sound better than they look. The presentation of the meals was rather plain and dull, however, still taste fairly good. I wound rate it as an average experience, nothing extra. The service was really nice and the ambience on the patio as well.

   One of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant in 30 years. Manager was rude and inexperienced. Our party was not happy with our table because air vents were right above us and blowing on 4 members of our party. We asked to move our table. Manager informed us that there was no availability for our table size. We decided to deal with it. Within 15 minutes he sits another table with the same number of people as us in the table next to us not in direct flow of the air vents. 10 minutes later he seats another table with the same number as us. I pointed this out to the manager and he said “the world does not revolve around you, you can leave if you wish”. We did. Best decision

   We had a wonderful experience celebrating our 45th anniversary. The staff were welcoming. Our waiter Scott was knowledge about the wide selection of mock tails and the menu. The timing of the courses just right not rushed and the food delicious

    We had a nice time at the this lovely NOLA spot we decided to sit inside instead of out and wish we had sat outside since it was loud and we were amongst a few large groups. The food and our drinks were very good. We had to ask for water which should not have happened since we watched every other table get water. Our waiter did apologize for that.

    Dinner for 4; two of us have been multiple times and two from out of town. Wanted to take them to our favorite restaurant. Our waitress was new and it showed, but she was enthusiastic and attentive. Her wait back also appeared to be new, because he tried but never did succeed on putting the various dishes in front of the right people. The food, as always, is outstanding. The carrot soup as usual was marvelous. All the apps were great; especially the scallops. I had the lamb for the first time; amazing! Two of us had the pork shank; huge and delicious. One had the filet which she said was perfect. Desserts, as usual, fabulous. Only musing is the waitress should have had, as part of her training, tasted each and every dish on the menu. Will always come back as a favorite.

    The food at Pelican Club is excellent. It’s a nice space but a little loud. The waiter for the evening Axel was great and really working hard to keep ever happy. They had several call offs for a busy night and service was a little hit and miss but most likely from being so short staffed. Overall I’d say it’s a great place to eat.

    The 3 course selection is wonderful! Started with the oysters, then cioppino, and a coconut cream pie. Everything was delicious! Had the martini cocktail as well and it was very refreshing. My partner got the pork belly buns, duck, and bread pudding and loved it. Would definitely recommend if visiting the city. Lots of restaurants here are very highly rated but food just isn’t that great and we were surprised by how great the pelican club was. Come hungry :)

    Main room was lovely but VERY loud. We asked to move to the bar area which was much more quiet. Our party of four received great service and the food was outstanding. Fish entrees were fabulous (Louisiana Cioppino and gulf fish w/crawfish etouffee) as were all appetizers. Drinks were great too!

    This is a hidden gem. I like the fact that it in a quiet alley away from the madness of Bourbon Street but the best part was the food. crawfish dish was amazing

    Server was amazing. Food was very good, a little pricy for what we got. A little loud but we could have conversation across the table. Cioppino and duck were delicious but not groundbreaking, coconut crème pie was excellent.

    Excellent experience. We were seated in the front section, which overlooks the courtyard. Not sure if the experience would have been nearly as good if were were in the large back room. Food and service were the best we had in NOLA.

    Our group had a fantastic meal here thanks to booking in advance. Was very busy in town and have to have reservations to get in. The pelican baked oysters, shank and chocolate cake three course meal for $59 was amazing. Highly recommended. So glad we picked here. Will be back.

    Food was very good but couldn’t be enjoyed because the noise level was unbearably loud. That’s what happens when the floor is marble and flagstone. Won’t be returning. There are other restaurants that are just as good and much quieter.

    The food was good and the overall experience was average. There are other restaurants I would suggest trying. The area we were seated was in the back room, which as the evening progressed became extremely load. A disturbing issue was after the discussions with the waitress of Gluten Free options and choosing an entree, the staff brought the entrees, which turned out not to be gluten free. Unfortunately, some was eating before catching this, which caused a reaction later in the evening.
