   The food was just okay but the prices were outrageous. We had a pasta dish and a grouper dish. The fish was dry and the pasta was just 'okay.' The property is lovely and our waitress (a lovely person from Argentina) was absolutely the BEST. She was attentive and very, very sweet and patient and friendly. We also had an outstanding breakfast on a subsequent visit. It was delicious. Would recommend breakfast but not dinner.

   Beautiful food - perfect wine list - especially happy about seeing Franciacorta CaDel Bosco - the service was wonderful - friendly and knowledgeable - loved sitting on the Veranda … you are on Icean Drive - but not fully exposed Perfection !!

   Un desastre!! Carisimo, de un día al otro habían aumentado todos los precios. Pedimos aparte y ni siquiera tenían pan, pretendían cobrarlo aparte. Se notaba q solo querían facturar, terminamos de comer y venían todo el tiempo para ver si nos íbamos.

   My boyfriend and I were looking for some good seafood while we were staying at a hotel on Collins. The Pelican DELIVERED! We opted to dine inside. Comfy bench seat with plush pillows, fairly quiet, but huge window to allow for Ocean Drive people-watching. Service was great, and the food was delicious. Lots of menu options for any palate. Ultimately, we went with pasta: he had risotto and I had tagliolini seafood. Drinks were yummy as well. We didn’t have room for dessert, but the options looked great! Manger was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

   Well everyone a bit confused there between server and manger good was ok not for the money but south beach right.... 20% Tip included not crazy cause they don’t work for cause they get it no mater what Only thing is the sever he round the change that he gave me back to an even 30 tip and thought I was stupid it’s ok I’m guessing either he really need the extra 2.00 or the establishment takes some other tips sad that I did NOT LIKE !! It’s ok there so many other restaurant on the strip !! Good luck enjoy my 2.00

    Breakfast on the veranda overlooks the ocean. Service excellent and they went out of their way to accommodate us so 93 year old mother didn’t have to sit in the sun.

    Our group of four traveled from Wisconsin for the Orange Bowl and enjoyed New Years Eve dinner at an outside table. The atmosphere was lively and fun, but not overwhelming. The service was excellent and the food exceeded our expectations. This would be an outstanding review for any meal, but given the occasion, the crowd, and the frenetic pace of the staff, The Pelican handled it all beautifully!

    First of all my reservation didn't go through to Pelican. Pelican was able to accommodate us however this would have been embarrasing if I was not with understanding friends. Had fish and chips. The fish was really greasy. Pelican has gone downhill. At one it was a favourite of mine but it will no longer be on my short list. Food quality has really gone down.

    Every time we stay at the Pelican Hotel we have eaten all of our meals here. The food and service are excellent. As it is right on Ocean Drive, there is always something going on.

    The red snapper was fabulous! The other meals were all pasta. The spaghetti carbonara was great, but the chicken parmesan was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, the drinks were good and the staff was spectacular. Would definitely recommend!

    Dined here with my daughter for brunch after a segway tour. We were seated promptly for our reservation and our server was very attentive and polite. I ordered the pancakes and eggs and turkey bacon and my daughter ordered steak and eggs. I also ordered a latte that was probably the best latte I have ever had, and that's saying a lot. I ended up having two, and actually, I wish I could have another one right now! Our food arrived promptly and was cooked as we requested. Nothing spectacular. My daughter did comment that her steak, which she ordered to be cooked medium, was perfect and very tasty. I had a piece and agreed with her. Since we were there for an early Sunday brunch, Miami Beach was still just waking up so the restaurant was pretty much empty. Our server gave us a cute note on a folded up napkin thanking us for dining there and wishing us a good day. Good service, good food, no frills. What more can you ask for? I'd definitely dine here for brunch again.

    I went with my husband while we were in Miami for a couple of days. The location was good, the restaurant next to Pelican had live music which was better fun then Pelican cafe itself. We are vegetarian and there were very limited options available. Not to say the food was a little cold when it came out. The food taste was also not the best. We both love Italian food however we were not pleased with taste of the pizza or appetizer. But the service was good and in all we had ok time. You can try your luck!

    My husband and I and our two young boys had a fabulous and fun dining experience on Christmas eve. He and I split the fresh fish for 2 and it was more than enough for two. The kids meals (hamburger and pizza) were tastier than the usual as well. The food make out in a timely manner and the service was excellent!!! The only complaint we talked about was the music was too loud...but got used to it.

    Dined on a Saturday night in Feb with 2 other girlfriends on the recommendation of another friend. Early dinner (around 7), so pretty quiet still. Gorgeous setting, table up away from busy sidewalk but still outside, with open view of beautiful interior. Shared a salad (delicious!), the shrimp pesto pasta (ridiculously fabulous), and a pizza (mediocre). Drinks weren't too pricey, but also weren't overwhelmingly wonderful (mojitos and caipirahnas). Considering how pricey it is to eat in Miami, we got a pretty good value - plenty of good food to eat without breaking the bank. Will definitely be back.

    I haved dined at the Pelican a half dozen times, twice with my wife, and the food and service are consistently good. When I am traveling to Miami, I always make a point of visiting the Pelican. The paella is a personal favorite. Spend the extra amount and add the lobster tail. It is a good dish to share with your loved one. The oysters on the half shell are also delicious. they are on the large size. Ask to be seated on the veranda. It is perfect for people watching while enjoying the ocean breeze.

    Great location, vibrant atmosphere, good-looking people. fantastic fireworks and lots of music that helped melt together the picturesque crowd of Ocean Drive in South Beach. However, food and beverages were a real disaster and service was nothing to write home about... The menu was limited (my wife has an allergy to seafood and mushrooms and she almost could not find anything to eat), quantities small and some of our choices actually tasted bad or were either overcooked or too cold to be served. The first bottle of wine was undrinkable and sent back, the second and third were below average for their price. Not much of a choice for wines.

    Very unpleasant. Water was never refilled, chairs were uncomfortable, waiter was rude, hostess was not trained how to check a reservation, music was too loud, and the bill included the tip but did not say so, instead asking for an "extra tip." Don't go here.

    What we ate was very tasty, but it wasn't as described by our waiter or as represented on the menu. My wife ordered snapper in parchment that was supposed to be cooked with cherry tomatoes and zuccini. The dish had no tomatoes and only a small piece of zucchini. I ordered an open faced ravioli dish that was supposed to contain shrimp, prawns, and assorted other fish. It had one prawn and some very tiny shrimp. Both dishes were tasty, but frankly were skimped on in the contents. The wine was also heavily marked up. On the plus side, the service was excellent.
