Please excuse the construction debris. Our Valet Service is still available during normal hours and the garage behind us on West Russell is also open for business as usual. The City of Columbus is beautifying the Short North and construction is a bit of a mess out front. Thank you for your understanding.
We also offer a fantastic Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00-3:00
Solid all around.
Awesome food. I would have licked the plate clean after having the hanger steak, but I was civil. Loved loved loved it.
Comfortable atmosphere, knowledgeable waiter. Menu is limited and not particularly healthy.
Good food but a little too noisy for me. Service was okay. Place was very busy and rushed. I'd describe as comfort food.
We made a brunch reservation for 9, and loved everything about the Pearl! Especially our server, Jess, who was amazingly friendly, knowledgeable and fun! Thanks for a great experience, will definitely be back! :)
The food was good and our server was even better. Definitely get the deviled eggs. Mm mm mm! It was a bit loud, so not good for intimate conversation. We had challenges with the reservation. I'm not sure if they over-booked or what. We had an 8pm reservation and not sat until 8:30. So, by that time we were starving! That's an opportunity for The Pearl to focus on.
I love The Pearl. Everything was excellent except we were seated in the back and it was cold and dark. I Ubered to the restaurant and had plans after, so I didn’t carry a sweater. Too much air conditioning can be a negative thing It was also a little difficult to hear our dinner conversation.
Great restaurant on Short north. We had a table facing the street so open air and open to all street activity. As our first time there this was an interesting experience. Drinks and food were great. Server was helper and also great. A bit pricey.
On a scale of 1-10, the food and service were an 11. Unfortunately, the shrieking baby at the next table made it difficult to relax or talk. This is not a family restaurant; please leave the little ones at home with a baby sitter.
Terrific starters. The eggs were the best. Scallops were very good and others in party had braised short rib which they really enjoyed.
Chris was excellent! Thank you!
The service and food at The Pearl could not have been better. My husband and I shared the spoon bread, fish and chips and crab. The portions are generous and the food is absolutely delicious. The bloody mary is AMAZING!! I would recommend The Pearl to friends. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed.
It was our first visit and our anniversary, we really enjoyed our server and the food. Thats for making it a great brunch!
Last meal for an OSU grad.
Great service, excellent food. Split the beet salad - great flavors. Had the scallop special - interesting and good mix of ingredients. Will definitely return.
We were not seated until 25 minutes past our reservation time. Food was good but not outstanding.
Fantastic food and service. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had!
Our favorite date night spot - didn’t even know they were open for brunch! Brought my sister and husband and everyone loved it!
The outstanding feature was the service. Hanna was our waitress and she was excellent. We were seated quickly and she let us have some time with our appetizers and drinks. She seemed to appear when we needed her, a sixth sense. The restaurant was a little noisy and it was hard to hear her at times.
What was less excellent was the food. I had the ricotta dumplings and they tasted salty. I just was not a fan. Others at the table had the same comment about their meals-fish and chips and burger.
Service was very slow to arrive to the table and thereafter. Food was spectacular. Get the fried chicken.
Fabulous food. Outstanding drinks. Knowledgeable staff. Great hot-spot location. Easy parking in parking garage behind restaurant or use restaurant valet. The Pearl is perfect for any occasion and ideal for dinner with friends.
Brunch was excellent. Very casual vibe. Wait staff very friendly and courteous. Food is very good as is service. Very nice place.
Our visit was our first to the Pearl and we could not ask for a more wonderful experience from the hostess to our server, Devon, to our meal. Cannot wait until our next visit and to try something else new. Highly recommend the arctic char. Loved the chowder and cornbread too.
Loved everything about the experience! Amazing service!!
We dine there often. The food and service was wonderful, as always.
Our server, Brady, is always spot on!
Great place to go for the Thursday oyster special. Happy hour is also a plus.
Great waitress, very good food, nice time overall. A little mis-leading meal description when said to include cauliflower purée - it was there but only about a tablespoon underneath the fish. Expected more when it comes as one of only three ingredients on the plate. However, meal was still delicious. Definitely need to have reservations
This is 2nd time in 2 weeks I went there for a business dinner. It was memorable and pleased all different tastes. A winner with clients for sure.
Waitress/staff were excellent. Food was very good, as always (this was our second visit). Seating was a bit crowded and there was no room to sit as we waited for our table to be prepared.
This place was great! I went here with my father for Father's Day and he is a notorious picky eater, as well as usually pessimistic about the atmosphere. The only thing he disliked was the dim lighting, but everything else was spot on! He enjoyed his meal with praise, and as did I! I will be back and I will recommend it. Kuddos to OpenTable for helping me with the reservation process and making it easy.
The food was exceptional, and Jordan was excellent!
Went in for Fathers Day. We had reservations so our table was ready and waiting for us. The place was busy but it was Fathers Day and Pride Weekend. Food was amazing but that's about the only positive thing I can say. We have been regulars at The Pearl since it's opened but the last two times I've been in to dine our service was horrible. This time was super annoying bc we had our young children with us and even they were complaining. It took an exceptionally long time to get our first round of drinks and the second round I had to ask our server to bring us bc he was not paying any attention to our table. Our food came and not once did he stop to ask us how it was. Just walked past our table and didn't even look our direction. This is not common service for a Cameron Mitchell restaurant so I'm not sure what is going on. Food was good which made the experience okay but service was lacking big time!
For an oyster bar very limited seafood options. Waiter was awful. Not a place for a romantic date (celebrating anniversary)
Even though restaurant was not full, hostess insisted on coming to bar to seat us even though we showed up early and asked if they minded if we had a drink first, as this was a special occasion (anniversary). Seated in closed-in corner space by front window with inadequate ventilation, got hotter as our evening went on. Server was generally pleasant but robotic and indifferent. General impression of “couldn’t care less if you were here or not” is what we left with from total of interactions. Fish entree was undercooked to point of raw.
Not bad, but overpriced for the food choices and quality
Amazing service and yummy food. Happy hour can't be beat!
In Columbus for a long weekend, and happened upon The Pearl’s oysters $2.00 each. As a big fan of oysters, that rapidly became my main course. My wife had the octopus which was splendidly prepared; both flavorful and extremely tender. We also had their homemade “tater tots” which were amazing. Great place to happen upon. Aside from the decibel level in there, the restaurant has a lot of character to it, the staff is terrific, the service is wonderful, and of course, the food was fantastic. Thank you, “Pearl” for a delightful, memorable meal and evening.
I took a friend visiting from the SF Bay Area for dinner and was so pleased that my friend who lives in "foodie land" thought the meal and cocktail was great. The server was very nice, and the kitchen split an entree for us without our having to ask. All around, a lovely experience.
This visit to The Pearl was about my third or fourth time there. I love coming for your happy hour as it’s a great value. This most recent visit however was probably my least favorite. Why? Our waiter was just odd. He was void of much personality and just lacked any warmth. He reminded me more of a computer programmer and no I don’t remember his name if he even told us his name. I ordered your hangar steak med rare. Now I’m a cook and I’ve grilled many hangars. This piece of meat was hard to cut. I had to cut each piece into 3s so I could chew it. The texture of this meat was almost fake. I had brought a friend with me and it was her first time so I didn’t complain so I wouldn’t ruin her experience. But I was gravely disappointed and I paid full price for a steak that I had to choke down. Now your Charcuterie board is to die for, salads are great, oysters raw and cooked are great! I was trying to branch out some and try some entrees that weren’t on Happy Hour and it bit me! I’ll stick to what I know next time.
