Food and service is outstanding. The staff is knowledgeable regarding the seafood specials and their recommendations are not to be dismissed. I would definitely recommend it if you find yourself in Bluffton SC.
Great food and service. This was my 5th visit. I have yet to be disappointed.
Fantastic food. Cozy, calm atmosphere. Great staff..great location.
We have been going to the Pearl since it opened - a great addition to the burgeoning town of Bluffton. From the moment you walk in, you are captivated by the decoration and design of the restaurant - cool, clean, white, inviting. No frills, no fuss just simple decor with simply delicious farm to table food. We love sitting at the bar and meeting new people while ordering any modifications to the menu we want and knowing it will be delicious.
Wonderful as usual!
Always great! Book early to avoid the noise of surrounding diners especially large groups. Lunch there is a real treat... very few others in the restaurant.
we enjoyed a couple of appetizers and then split the shrimp and grits, fabulous meal
Server was excellent! Great atmosphere, great food as always
Service was prompt. Food was very good. Calimari was notable because it wasn’t greasy. Salmon and tuna was good but not exceptional. Price points were good value. Would return.
Great food and wonderful service.
As always, dinner and service were great. Tuna and grouper entrees were delicious. Always great to see the staff. Very welcoming each time we go for dinner.
The restaurant is beautiful, and the food was - and always is - fantastic. The Pearl is ideal for a special occasion, date night or dinner with friends; and the restaurant layout/noise level are conducive for conversation. I rated the value as "fair," because this is essentially casual fine dining. The entrees aren't cheap, but they frankly shouldn't be given the quality and atmosphere. So is it "good value?" No. Is it worth the price (approx. $30-38/entree)? Absolutely.
Love the porch and evening mood. Service was attentive and friendly. Appetizers of tuna and oysters outstanding. Carrot cake also very nice. Entree grilled fish was unfortunately delivered well-done grilled to look like my worst day on summer grill - who eats fish like that? For $36 I prefer my fish medium rare please. I’ll return and try again.
Food was excellent, hot, done to perfection, wine great, vodka tonic perfect, server excellent.
Wonderful place to visit. Food, atmosphere and service was great.
We had a very nice evening with good friends! We enjoyed our dinner! The scallops were delicious! The best meal at the table!
Would have like a few more entree choices for lunch, perhaps some soup choices, too.
Great place for a special occasion. The food is outstanding!
Actually we ate dinner at the bar. James was attentive and entertaining. Overall, a nice evening.
It's always a nice relaxing time at the Pearl. Possibly a little noisier and or some music some time would be wonderful too!
We enjoyed our meal and experience at The Pearl. We started with a delicious craft cocktail followed by perfectly prepared tuna and steaks followed by scrumptious peach banana bread pudding. There was live piano playing in the background which added to the ambience.
Cant wait to go back!
Food was delicious, service was fantastic. The only issue was a larger group brought in toddlers on a Friday evening after 7 pm. The kids weren’t enjoying themselves so they were crying and making it a less pleasant dining experience for everyone else in the restaurant.
Enjoyed our meal at The Pearl. We dined outside because it was a little quieter and a nice evening. The kitchen ran out of crab meat but they deducted some from our meal so we were appreciative. The mashed potatoes were good but a little runny. Our server was very good. We would definitely return.
Great atmosphere and service. Typical over sauced low country food with massive portions. Wish folks would just use fresh ingredients and prepare simply.
Menu description of dishes was misleading. The decor and ambiance was pleasant as was our waitress but isn’t a restaurant all about the food? I would not recommend this place as a couple of the dishes were very ordinary and not what one would expect from such a restaurant.
Overpriced for the atmosphere. Although the food was good, it was not a wow experience. Server was very apathetic. We did not feel very welcome and he never checked back to see if everything was satisfactory with our entree. It seemed forced to even have a conversation with him. Price was not worth the visit.
Great service and food.
The visit was good but not great. We ordered the beef carpaccio but it didn’t look right or taste right, the beef had a shimmer to it and had an odd after taste. We sent it back and where not offered anything other than to remove it from the bill ( we would have been happy with any other app and would have been happy to pay for it!) Our entrees where great the scallops where cooked perfectly and the tuna was great!
Food was not up to the usual quality.
Poor quality food cooked incorrectly. Worst meal I have ever had. Bottle of wine not chilled properly. Not anything to say that is good.
Loved their Caesar salad & dessert was yummy, my $50.00 steak was fatty & overcooked..requested rare to medium rare, was medium to medium well..very disappointing. Would go back for Caesar salad with salmon..service was excellent.
As always this restaurant delivers high quality cuisine in a beach house feel.
Spectacular as always. I love that I can bring company and always know it was going to be great.
We had the tuna, the grouper and the redfish. Outstanding!
My girlfriends and loved The Pearl! Our server was wonderful, the food was wonderful, and the ambiance/noise level was perfect for a social evening!
The Tilefish, Grouper, and Salmon were the BEST we have ever had - anywhere!!!
We sat at the bar for dinner and drinks.
James is an excellent bartender who gives attention to detail with a pleasant demeanor.
Food is delicious !!
The menu seems good, but the food just didn’t deliver: fish taco sauce was very thick and sweet, tasting very much like Miracle Whip and overpowering the grouper. The bourbon burger was dry and over cooked (I requested medium) with a burned bun. The sweet potato fries were great, though! Service was friendly, if not very present. Overall, I’d probably go somewhere else if deciding on a second visit.
Easy reservation on a Tuesday night, nice size table for 5. Waitress was very helpful with menu and knowledge of the entrees. Meals were great, better than expected and there were 5 clean plates when we were finished. Drinks, appetizer, main and deserts were above average quality and quantity. Definitely try this place.
