Always a great spot for a fun night!
This is my second visit to The Pearl and it did not disappoint. I've been in Cbus since 2009 and have stated several times that The Pearl has been my favorite experience so far. I can continue to reiterate that statement, which says a lot. My husband is a huge food critic (self-proclaimed) and would prefer cooking to eating out. Even he had nothing but great things to say about the restaurant. This is a must-visit location and don't leave without trying the beet salad!
Amazing place, great food. Our service was fantastic. Quick to get food even though it was very busy. Will be back soon!
We went for brunch to celebrate my sister's birthday. The restaurant was very busy but there seemed to be plenty of servers. Ours was particularly busy. She seemed to be running in circles for a bit. That didn't stop the food from being spectacular though. Everything we ordered - beet salad, teriyaki octopus, tavern benny (YUM!), Cuban Sammie, short rib poutine (*slobbers*) - was phenomenal. 10/10 will eat there again.
We had a wonderful Sunday Brunch. The food was delicious, exceptional waiter. Made the anniversary celebration very special
Fun laid back spot with great food and a friendly staff!
The staff was very attentive and friendly . Complimentary drinks were provided because they were running a few minutes late. The food was very unique and excellent. Overall, it was a great date night and we highly recommend it!
Awesome place! Last minute reservation and very pleased with the choice. Bar staff amazing!!!
That day was my birthday. We had reserved for a party of 5 and added another person at the last minute. The host was calm, cool, and professional. Our waiter, Andrew, was very good about checking in with us answering all of our questions, during our time at the Pearl. The menu was quite varied from fish to omelets to great burgers. The star, for me, was the clam chowder. IT WAS FANTASTIC! I’ll be back for sure. Try it. You’ll be very happy.
The Pearl was absolutely amazing! I went with previous reviews that suggested jalapeño cornbread with honey and butter as an appetizer — oh my gosh it was delicious. I’m from the south & they did cornbread very well! The server recommended the braised beef short ribs for the entree. One of the best dinners I have ever had. We had Jordan as a server & he was awesome. We will be returning!!
One of my favs! The Beet Salad is a must have along with the cornbread, deviled eggs, and Devils on Horseback!
It was a wonderful experience for my mothers birthday.
We had a great time! We arrived before our reservation time and were seated a little bit early. Food and cocktail were superb, and I enjoyed raw oyster for the first time! We will definitely be back!
Amazing!!! Waiter provided excellent service and the food was outstanding! Will go back!
Fantastic Thursday night oyster deal--but actually all the food was good.
The Pearl is one of my top five favorite restaurant spots in the city. Whether I'm grabbing a drink at the bar after a long day, meeting up with friends, or dining for a special occasion, I always leave full and happy. You won't want to miss the House Smoked Salmon - $14 ($7 for happy hour). I can't go to the restaurant without ordering it.
The Pearl is my favorite place in Columbus. I eat there very often and the food is always amazing. However, I was not impressed on Valentine's Day. We were seated in back, in a section over-stuffed with two tops. The tables were uncomfortably close and offered no privacy. It also took about 15 minutes for a server to greet us and take our drinks once we did get settled in. I was also disappointed to see that they don't offer Happy Hour on holidays.
The Pearl is a great place, but this experience was bad.
I made a reservation for Valentine's Day and was very excited to try it out. The food looked delicious from the menu that was given and it looked like a very cool place. I called ahead of time to find out if they still did happy hour even though it was a holiday and they confirmed that they did. When we got to the restaurant I asked to see their HH menu and they then told me they didn't do happy hours on holidays. I was pretty disappointed because that was a big reason we chose this restaurant. The server was very nice about it though and did discount our appetizer (which was delicious). The rest of the food was decent but pretty pricy. The only other complaint that I have was that the menu I saw online was not the same as their current menu. There were some items that were not available, so maybe the online one hadn't been updated. Other than that the atmosphere was very unique and I liked it. It was a nice place to go for Valentine's Day.
We love sitting at the oyster bar and watching the expertise of all the kitchen workings! The staff is fun and a joy to watch!
The food is great and I love going there, but the wait was awful. We had 8:15 PM reservations and we weren’t seated until 9:00 PM. Then, our food didn’t come until 9:50 PM. They comped us appetizers, which helped. But, when I take a group of colleagues out for dinner, I expect them to be able to eat at a reasonable time.
