Please excuse the construction debris. Our Valet Service is still available during normal hours and the garage behind us on West Russell is also open for business as usual. The City of Columbus is beautifying the Short North and construction is a bit of a mess out front. Thank you for your understanding.
Another great experience at The Pearl. Definitely one of our favorites!
The food was terrible! We got two appetizers pb&j and Parma clams. Both were average at best. I got the chefs omelette. Nothing but a scambled egg with ham and cheese- really? First Watch is 100% better. The pancakes were so so again nothing special at all. The burger was undercooked and fries were cold. Overall the food was bad. The service was good very nice waiter but would never go back or recommend to others. Also ordered a Bloody Mary and could not have another because they ran out of mix/spice- really it was Sunday at 1:00. In the end we wish we had gone somewhere else.
It’s always what we expect; fun, good food and good drinks
Always a good atmosphere, great service and awesome food!
Great experience! Sat at a high top near the bar. Staff happily accommodated our request to not sit by the door. Server was informative and friendly. Must try the tater tots as an appetizer. Great wine selection as well!
Jordan was our waiter and he was outstanding. The Shrimp and Grits is a must try, and the roast chicken was delicious.
I will say that bad part first, we were crammed in our seat. With that said, the service was wonderful. We have not eaten there in a long while which i am glad we went back. The food is so good and completely different than previously. We’ll be back soon.
Great for adult Birthday celebration! Thanks for the candle in the dessert~
Diverse menu, excellent wine by the glass list, tremendous service - ask for Chris (male). Try the oysters, deviled eggs and pork shank.
Had an amazing time. Create food, service, and atmosphere!
I visit The Pearl often and I'm never disappointed. The food and service are always excellent and the vibe is lively without being too loud. The happy hour specials are fantastic as well. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food with prompt attentive service.
Our waitress was wonderful and the entire staff was friendly and kind even to our 4 wild kids! ☺️
Family Sunday Brunch for a Cameron Mitchell restaurant the food was just .....average.
Our brunch was great--our waitress was wonderful, food was delicious, it was a good atmosphere with some energy without being frantic. We always like the Pearl and will certainly return!
Parmesan baked clams were undercooked, rubbery, pink and tasted terrible. When we told our waiter, he assumed that we did not like clams, albeit we told him that we love clams, but these were bad and cooked improperly. He still charged us and would not refund us. It’s our second consecutive experience that went poorly, so sad to say that this restaurant likely off our list for a long while.
The food was spectacular and the service could not have been better
Don't bother showing up 15 minutes early for your reserved table time because thanks to opentable this facility overbooks prime seating times. We ended up waiting with a flock of other hungry souls in the cramped entrance area for another 45 minutes beyond our reservation time for a simple table for 2. There is no rhyme or reason to the pecking order once you "check in". Groups entering after use were seated more quickly and others were becoming agitated. When we finally went up to the hostess to ask again a table was magically ready. And good luck getting a drink at the crowded bar while you are waiting, reaching over irritated walk-ins trying to enjoy their meal. Once we ordered it was a pleasant experience until the meals arrived and both orders had mistakes: wrong side and meat cooked to wrong temperature. Thanks Ally - can you please pay attention next time? Congrats to The Pearl on being so popular and busy that they simply don't need to care about the customer experience. We won't be back.
I love the incorporation of the gluten free items into the menu.
There are so many more options now & the server was very knowledgeable. I appreciate you taking care of my allergies and look forward to returning!
Busy, "energetic" (esp on a Saturday evening). Appropriately attentive, friendly staff. Good food.
Amazing meal, my first time here, Michele had been here before. Might be a fav for us.
Our waitress was spectacular. But they made us wait 10 mins with reservations to clear a table for six, then sat us in the very back where no one was sitting at all. There was plenty of other tables to make into six closer up front. Truly no reason to wait that long and then sit in a large room by ourselves.
The employees were great! Great food!
The Pearl was a great place to go! The minute you walk in the door the staff were so friendly, even though it was incredibly busy. We ordered oysters, the Cuban and fish and chips and the food was phenomenal. Great portions and absolutely delicious food! We can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food! Not only the taste but the presentations. Our server was on top of everything, super kind! We mentioned that my brother was visiting from Argentina and that he loves calamari and even though that was not in the menu they surprised us with it! So thankful for them going above and beyond.
Amazing! Fun. Polite. Tasty.
The food at the Pearl is always outstanding. I've never had a bad meal there and have tried most of the items on the menu.
However, the service last night was really bad and I regret spending my birthday there. I celebrate my birthday at the Pearl every year and I look forward to it. I love oysters and the brown sugar pie (which they typically comp every year on my birthday). Last night they made no mention of it being a special occasion when we checked in or got to our table. Also, our oysters took at least 20-25 minutes to come out.
The main issue I had last night is that the servers/hosts were rushing us out of there. We were less than halfway done with our entrees (only had them for a few minutes) and someone who was not our server forcefully asked us if she could box that up for us. I had only eaten half of my burger, had not touched the fries, and my boyfriend had his fork and knife in his hand cutting up his chicken. He still had 1 full piece of chicken left that he hadn't started. She seemed annoyed when we said that we were still eating, but it seemed very obvious to us. Once we were done eating, our server boxed them up and brought us the check. He didn't even ask or offer dessert. I was baffled. I would have paid for the pie, its not about the free food, and I intended on ordering it regardless. Since one person rushed us to box up our food and the other didn't even offer dessert, we left and picked up dessert from somewhere else on our way home.
I would not recommend the Pearl for a special occasion.
Very good food. Happy about the happy hour and great for gluten free
It was great
Our New Year's Eve experience was great, nice table, good food!
My wife and I dined at The Pearl for NYE. It was crowded, but we had a great dinner. The service was on the slow side due to the occasion, but it beat my expectations. The food was fantastic as it always is! The restaurant has a very cozy setup with tables sitting fairly close together.
Where do you begin. The hostesses was rude and tried to put my pregnant wife and in a corner table for two where she would have had to move the table out of the way to get seated. The waitress was courteous although not very attentive. Once we had our meals she never checked back in to see if there where ok or if we wanted more drinks. Which we did. When the plates had been cleared by someone other than our waitress she brought the check before checking to see if we wanted desserts and coffee. Which again we wanted but never got the opportunity to have. My wife is pregnant dessert is a must have. The valet was not on duty. The hostess that was rude contributed to walk around our area all night as if trying to hurry us out. The hostess also removed a chair from our table with out saying “excuses me” or “may we use this chair someplace else”. Just took it. Overall not a great evening for us.
We've been to the Pearl many times over the years. Our biggest issue is the menu has never changed, and it's getting very stale!!! The oysters were not cleaned well enough and contained much sediment, shell, and sand. The Beet salad is usually one of my favorite, however they failed to add hard boiled egg as advertised on the menu. I will say the Clam chowder is very good. We'll opt for other options in the future though until we see Mitchell's put some effort and creativity behind this one. Too bad as it's in a great location. Don't take it for granted!!
Wonderful evening! We were slightly rushed but it’s a busy evening so we get it. Love the atmosphere & the food is fantastic.
Outstanding flavor and attentive service made for a memorable experience
The pearl is one of my favorite restaurants to go to for special occasions. The food is fresh and prepared in creative ways. The service is impeccable and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. Another plus is the variety of gluten free options. I can’t wait to come back for another meal!
I came in to dine by myself. My server, Caitlin, ignored me for 15 minutes. Everyone else ignored me as well. I was honestly about to call the restaurant and ask them where my server was. When Caitlin finally came to my table, she said, "I didn't see you sitting here all by your lonesome self," which I found condescending. The food was pretty good, but the bloody Mary was made with the worst tomato juice I've ever tasted. Caitlin then brought me my bill to sign and did not give me a pen so I had to dig one out of my bag. There are plenty of places with better service and I recommend others go to them instead of The Pearl.
First time here and it was v
Always love the pearl! Gabby is a great waitress! Yum!
I had a bad experience with not getting service at the bar the last time I was there, but a friend recommended for brunch, so I gave it another try. Our server, Andrew, was really good. The grilled cheese and tater tots were a big hit with my friend, but my fish and chips were just ok. Maybe more like a $10 meal, not a $20. Also, I was happy we sat in the bar since it seemed to be "brunch with your baby" day.
Tylor was fantastic! Great food and drinks
