Everything was delicious as always. Service was good. Always enjoy going there.
Housed in an old church, the restaurant has a wonderful authenticity, devoid of anything "slick". Most importantly, the food was quite good. Based on our table's feedback, can recommend the shrimp and the crab cakes as starters, and the scallops as an entree.
Detracting from the overall experience was the fact that our server was inadequately trained, unable to offer meaningful guidance in wine and food selections.
Would explore other Myrtle Beach options before returning.
EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT !!!!!
WE HAD A GREAT DINNER WITH WONDERFUL SERVICE.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. My husband and I brought my cousin and her husband to The Parsons Table because they had never been before. They loved, loved, loved it! The maple bourbon glazed pork chop was by far the best meal at our table! We all wished we had gotten it! Please make it a regular menu item!
Every time we come to this area, we eat at Parson's Table. It's the best restaurant! Excellent service, food, and price! Wish I lived closer by - I'd visit very often! Keep up the good work!
As has become our tradition, came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had reservations and, despite there being an unusually large number of vacant tables, had to wait for our table to be "setup". Food was excellent but there were extended periods between placing our order and receipt of each course, particularly our entrees. Service was not up to expectations based on previous experience at The Parson's Table. We will give them another chance if just to determine whether or not this was an aberration or an indicator of problems in the kitchen, with wait staff or management.
What a charming place! The food was amazing, especially the prime rib, the best I’ve ever had.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The cocktails were great and the Beef Short Ribs and Duck Breast entrees were amazing. Entrees complete with house salad, vegetables and a starch included are a bargain. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
I made reservations for my granddaughter's 21st birthday celebration. Our table was ready when we arrived and our waiter was pleasant and personable. After that, things went downhill. The restaurant was very loud and children were running around so that conversation was hampered. The appetizers arrived quickly. The clam chowder was very good; however, the fried green tomatos were bitter. After the appetizers, we waited about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. It was finally served after I inquired about it. Most of the food we ordered was not eaten, as we were ready to go after sitting so long to wait for it. Total bill, including tip and no alcohol was $228.00. I really wish we had gone elsewhere to spend that kind of money . Sadly, the Parson's Table has been a family favorite for years. I am not sure what has happened.
Sloan our waitress was very nice and attentive.
Food was delicious
Love the building and atmosphere
The table was ready when we arrived The waitress came over right away and asked about drinks and gave us some good wine selections. The waitress Sloan’s was very friendly and was quick to answer questions. The food was very good cooked to our specifications. I will go back again.
Have been to the Parson’s Table five times in the last year. Everybody we have taken there — and us as well — have had nothing but raves for the food, service and experience. We have eaten many of the entrees and all have been wonderful. The salad and bread are excellent and the meats and seafood are superb. Perhaps the only weak spot are their vegetables that go with the meal. They are a bit bland and sometimes undercooked. However, they are not the star of the show and everything else is so good that we just do not mind.
Our third visit and we will continue coming back when we are in the area. Love the history behind the building. The food and service superb!
Was our favorite restaurant. They say is near obnoxious table. No one told them to shut up. Instead they couldn't hear us to get our order right. Food was not good as it has been in past.
We went to the early bird service. The food was fine, serving size was fine, but the small number of selections means we will order off the main menu from now on. And I highly recommend the seafood pasta selection.
When the Birthday Girl, who lives 20 minutes from Restaurant Row in New York City, and was a career restaurateur, insists on flying to Little River, SC to celebrate one's biggest birthday ever, at The Parson's Table, need we say more?!?!?!
Food was excellent! Kitchen was able to accommodate my changes in preparation without taking away from the quality. Server was very attentive without being intrusive.
The food and the service were excellent, as always. We love it here and so do our guests.
Great meal and great server Sloan. You must dine here,
My favorite restaurant head s down!!! Delicious oysters Rockefeller, amazing steak and seafood, creative specials. Nothing has ever even been mediocre. The corn bread is baked fresh every day and is delicious. Can’t wait til my next trip to the beach. I will always have a reservation at The Parsons Table.
Family get together, out of town folks very impressed with everything.
Location, ambiance, the food and especially our server Solan was exceptional.
A must visit when in the area, call for reservations!
From the moment we walked in we were treated with respect and courteous service.
The entire staff was pleasant. Our meal was wonderful. The dressing on the house salad was so yummy, my husband actually wanted seconds on the salad.
I had the Panko Crusted Grouper for the first time and it was delicious. I will definitely come back.
A regular place for us when we are in the area. Food is always good.
Excellent in every level! My husband and I went for our birthdays. We tried the early bird special and it lacked nothing. Excellent in every way possible! ❤️
Located in the former First Methodist Church this quaint restaurant in Little River, SC has a very large selection of food to accommodate almost any appetite. They also have a good selection of wines to pair with your meal. The seafood is always fresh and cooked properly. We had crab cakes, scrod, shrimp & grits and seared ahi tuna (which the diner said was the best that he had ever eaten). The service was wonderful, attentive but not obtrusive. This place is one of our favorites and consistently serves an outstanding meal accompanied by excellent service.
Great food, good service, salad, bread, vegetables all included in meal. Excellent Amaretto Cheesecake for dessert! Real treat for dinner.
Service good not great there were 4 of us for the most part food was very good I had sea food platter scallops had a off putting iodine taste shrimp overcooked, oyster and clam not very appealing crab cake on the other was outstanding
Well we chose to go to the Parsons table on our wedding day because it was highly recommended. Unfortunately after ordering it was more than an hour before we got our food and I believe we only got it then because we complained When the food came it was cold and therefore wasn’t good at all. I will say that they didn’t charge us but the problem is I was paying $100 an hour for a limo to wait for us for over two hours in the restaurant to only eat food that was mediocre at best.
It has been three years since we had the opportunity to enjoy The Parson's Table, and if anything, it has improved. Met some old friends, who live near but was unaware of such a great place near them, and had a marvelous reunion. The cocktails were excellent, the wine perfect, and the entrees were prepared perfectly. The evening could not have been better supported by the restaurant. Thank you Parson's Table for such a delightful experience!
It is the place to go .. Can always count on great food and excellent service . friendly comfortable place to dine .. We always come back .. Thanks like we say in Bosto wicked awesome. !!!!!!!
The restaurant is in an old church built in the 1850's and contains original stained glass windows - very nice and unique setting. The menu has a good variety of choices and the food was very good. The service was also very good.
Been dining here for over 30 years always a great meal, their prime rib is great
My wife and I have visited the Parsons Table on multiple occasions and always found the food, service, and ambiance to be excellent. On this particular visit the hostess seated us literally on top of 8 gentlemen who were having an evening out. I have no issue with a gathering such as this and understand the decimal level might be elevated! Well, it was quite loud, upon being seated I requested of the young lady to please find us a quieter table preferably in another part of the building. She glanced around very briefly and stated she had no other tables. Moments later another couple came in and are seated at the EMPTY table just over from our table, the gentleman immediately asked to be seated elsewhere and was immediately accommodated and seated in another room completely. Our server was very apologetic but indicated she could not help us. We regretted staying, when your tired and worn out, looking for a quiet dinner you might think twice before going to the Parsons Table! Oh, side note, the 8 gentlemen were not rude or obnoxious, just very loud! Not sure when I'll be back to the Table.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was delicious. Our waitress was very polite. The
early bird specials are a great value!
Always great food with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
We enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day dinner. The entrees of Shrimp and Grits and the Special cornbread encrusted Grouper were spectacular, fresh, and delicious. These were preceded by the Chef's white clam chowder which was a great appetizer. The Pineapple praline dessert topped off a wonderful early evening dinner proving that Chef Ed Murray is still delivering the highest quality Low Country cuisine in Little River, South Carolina. Highly recommend.
Our table ordered the panko-encrusted grouper special and a half-rack of lamb, with she-crab soup as a starter. All were excellent, cooked to perfection, ample serving size and delicious. For dessert we had the bread pudding and chocolate brownie -- both were great, and shareable. Our server was friendly, prompt, and unobtrusive. It is an attractive restaurant, but at the location, you would not necessarily expect a restaurant of this quality. That would be a mistake. It is convenient to the South Brunswick beaches, and the North Myrtle Beaches. The meal was fabulous, the service exemplary, and the tab was not exorbitant, but in the range you would expect for this quality of food and service.
Our server was very abrupt. Asked if we wanted another round of drinks but did not wait for a answer just ordered them. Had to call he back and inform her that I did not want the same drink. Her response was now I have to cancel that order. The beer I ordered was DuckRabbit it came the the table without a head on it. When asked if was top or bottle she said it was from a bottle. Informed her that it was flat and it was. She just said with a attitude we don't serve flat beer. Asked if I wanted another I asked will it be the same she said yes so I said no and asked for the check.
My children were in from NYC to celebrate Mothers day and her 70th birthday so I bite my lip and did not complain to management. Your waitress put a damper on our celebration. Heard so many
good thing about your restaurant but was extremely disappointed. I left her a good tip imagine if she was nicer the tip she would have gotten. She ruined our dinner with her attitude.
Will we return to the Parsons Table a flat out NO. Order #146537 table 92 server #12 CC under my wife name D.S
