From the moment we walked in we were treated with respect and courteous service.
The entire staff was pleasant. Our meal was wonderful. The dressing on the house salad was so yummy, my husband actually wanted seconds on the salad.
I had the Panko Crusted Grouper for the first time and it was delicious. I will definitely come back.
Excellent in every level! My husband and I went for our birthdays. We tried the early bird special and it lacked nothing. Excellent in every way possible! ❤️
Located in the former First Methodist Church this quaint restaurant in Little River, SC has a very large selection of food to accommodate almost any appetite. They also have a good selection of wines to pair with your meal. The seafood is always fresh and cooked properly. We had crab cakes, scrod, shrimp & grits and seared ahi tuna (which the diner said was the best that he had ever eaten). The service was wonderful, attentive but not obtrusive. This place is one of our favorites and consistently serves an outstanding meal accompanied by excellent service.
Great food, good service, salad, bread, vegetables all included in meal. Excellent Amaretto Cheesecake for dessert! Real treat for dinner.
Service good not great there were 4 of us for the most part food was very good I had sea food platter scallops had a off putting iodine taste shrimp overcooked, oyster and clam not very appealing crab cake on the other was outstanding
Well we chose to go to the Parsons table on our wedding day because it was highly recommended. Unfortunately after ordering it was more than an hour before we got our food and I believe we only got it then because we complained When the food came it was cold and therefore wasn’t good at all. I will say that they didn’t charge us but the problem is I was paying $100 an hour for a limo to wait for us for over two hours in the restaurant to only eat food that was mediocre at best.
It has been three years since we had the opportunity to enjoy The Parson's Table, and if anything, it has improved. Met some old friends, who live near but was unaware of such a great place near them, and had a marvelous reunion. The cocktails were excellent, the wine perfect, and the entrees were prepared perfectly. The evening could not have been better supported by the restaurant. Thank you Parson's Table for such a delightful experience!
It is the place to go .. Can always count on great food and excellent service . friendly comfortable place to dine .. We always come back .. Thanks like we say in Bosto wicked awesome. !!!!!!!
The restaurant is in an old church built in the 1850's and contains original stained glass windows - very nice and unique setting. The menu has a good variety of choices and the food was very good. The service was also very good.
Been dining here for over 30 years always a great meal, their prime rib is great
My wife and I have visited the Parsons Table on multiple occasions and always found the food, service, and ambiance to be excellent. On this particular visit the hostess seated us literally on top of 8 gentlemen who were having an evening out. I have no issue with a gathering such as this and understand the decimal level might be elevated! Well, it was quite loud, upon being seated I requested of the young lady to please find us a quieter table preferably in another part of the building. She glanced around very briefly and stated she had no other tables. Moments later another couple came in and are seated at the EMPTY table just over from our table, the gentleman immediately asked to be seated elsewhere and was immediately accommodated and seated in another room completely. Our server was very apologetic but indicated she could not help us. We regretted staying, when your tired and worn out, looking for a quiet dinner you might think twice before going to the Parsons Table! Oh, side note, the 8 gentlemen were not rude or obnoxious, just very loud! Not sure when I'll be back to the Table.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was delicious. Our waitress was very polite. The
early bird specials are a great value!
Always great food with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
We enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day dinner. The entrees of Shrimp and Grits and the Special cornbread encrusted Grouper were spectacular, fresh, and delicious. These were preceded by the Chef's white clam chowder which was a great appetizer. The Pineapple praline dessert topped off a wonderful early evening dinner proving that Chef Ed Murray is still delivering the highest quality Low Country cuisine in Little River, South Carolina. Highly recommend.
Our table ordered the panko-encrusted grouper special and a half-rack of lamb, with she-crab soup as a starter. All were excellent, cooked to perfection, ample serving size and delicious. For dessert we had the bread pudding and chocolate brownie -- both were great, and shareable. Our server was friendly, prompt, and unobtrusive. It is an attractive restaurant, but at the location, you would not necessarily expect a restaurant of this quality. That would be a mistake. It is convenient to the South Brunswick beaches, and the North Myrtle Beaches. The meal was fabulous, the service exemplary, and the tab was not exorbitant, but in the range you would expect for this quality of food and service.
Our server was very abrupt. Asked if we wanted another round of drinks but did not wait for a answer just ordered them. Had to call he back and inform her that I did not want the same drink. Her response was now I have to cancel that order. The beer I ordered was DuckRabbit it came the the table without a head on it. When asked if was top or bottle she said it was from a bottle. Informed her that it was flat and it was. She just said with a attitude we don't serve flat beer. Asked if I wanted another I asked will it be the same she said yes so I said no and asked for the check.
My children were in from NYC to celebrate Mothers day and her 70th birthday so I bite my lip and did not complain to management. Your waitress put a damper on our celebration. Heard so many
good thing about your restaurant but was extremely disappointed. I left her a good tip imagine if she was nicer the tip she would have gotten. She ruined our dinner with her attitude.
Will we return to the Parsons Table a flat out NO. Order #146537 table 92 server #12 CC under my wife name D.S
No reply from the Parsons Table . Guess they only reply to good reviews
Great fresh seafood. The duck was tender with a delicious sauce and the bone in pork chop spcl was outstanding
Our party of six had a great time for our friends birthday. Great food, great service! Best place to eat at the beach.
Absolutely fantastic. I’ve never had better service (thank you Brinn) or better food. Well worth a try for a special night out. Killer wine list. What a beautiful building!
Top notch! Food and service was great. Unique atmosphere.
Courteous staff, fast friendly service and excellent food to go along with it. Pork chop and steaks were delightful- a must (usually twice) for our Myrtle Beach trips.
We are 40 minute drive away but worth the drive - always exceptional food and excellent service.
We go back from time to time in remembrance of what it used to be. It is not as good as it used to be. I had an expensive fish dish. One note. Presentation was awful. Looked like a bunch of goo on the plate. Poor fishy hiding under it. We were put a table with a window unit air conditioner blowing straight at us. I turned it down and down. People at next table refused to stay where seated and were moved. Finally the unit was turned off. The prime rib was good meat. Au jus was too salty. Mashed potatoes, I expect, were made fresh but reminded me of instant taters.
we went for the early bird specials. we both had the grilled salmon that was done perfectly. Comes with corn bread, salad, choice of starch and a veggie all great. Can't beat the food or value.
We rank The Parsons Table at the top of the list of all resturants in the Myrtle Beach area.
Very nice business casual-to-dressy dining experience. Dependably good food presented in classic style. Servers are prompt, attentive and knowledgeable, as one would expect for an evening of upscale and relaxed dining with friends and relatives. We particularly liked the beautifully stained glass windows and historical significance of the building as an original church in Little River. Being residents of Little River, the Parson's Table is our #1 recommendation to visiting friends and relatives who like a reasonably priced evening of fine wining and dining at the Beach.
Love this place. Food was delicious and servings were good sized. Romantic atmosphere and quiet. Lighting a little too dim for reading a wine list or menu but otherwise all was great!
Great food and large portions. It was really crowded at 5:30 on a Monday, so reservations are probably a good idea. Really like the decor.
My wife and I both had the prime rib. My wife thought she tasted too much meat tenderizer . Our friends had a curry chicken and shrimp and grits and both loved their meals.
Excellent all around around experience, service and food wonderful.
Not our first time visiting. Unfortunately , can’t give the same reviews I could other times. Is exceptional good ever visit before this one. Think they were just having a off night. Will go back.
When we first arrived, we were impress with the architecture, ambiance, and quietness. However, that deteriorated in about an hour when a bachelor party group came in for dinner. The noise was beyond a pleasant meal environment. The other thing was that my filet migon was slow to arrive and was at best warm. The restaurant wanted to reheat it, however , it would have been over done. In any event, the restaurant made good on on the food and noise issue.
We had a special retirement party for the six of us and this restaurant could not have been a better choice! Our server, Sloan, was very friendly. She was efficient, knowledgeable, and seemed to know what we needed before we did. The food was delicious and well presented. I so look forward to going back again.
My husband and I have had dinner many times at The Parson’s Table. Food and service is always excellent. This time we brought a friend because it was her Birthday and she was disappointed in the way her steak was cooked. It went back serveral times. We were pleased that management decided not to charge her. Thank you for that.
Waiter was very loud. Did not bring cheese and cracker appetizer to our table. Blue cheese dressing very weak. Only received three finger link potatoes and vegetable was one slice of squash, one slice of tomatoe, and one slice of zucchini. I do not feel we received the amount or quality of food for the price we paid.
Always enjoy Parsons Table. Good service. Good setting. Food wasn’t quite as good as usual this time
We have had dinner 3 or 4 times at The Parson's Table and have never been disappointed. The food is always fantastic and service has always been very good. I think we have enjoyed our dinner more and more each time we have dined there.
First time patrons
Definitely will add it to our list
Everything was perfect, from the service to the courses. Little pricy, but we shared an entree and had plenty with the appetizer. The sauces in the mussels and swordfish were so tasty! Hubby loved his Manhattan too. Will return if ever back in the area!
