The Parson's Table
Best prime rib ever!!!!! Our daughter in law's 41st birthday. Great family outing with our son ,wife and their four children.
Best rib-eye steak that I have eaten in years. Excellent service from JoAnn and the wine love list is very impressive. I will visit again .
We went here for our anniversary and with another couple. Prior to going here I had heard that it was on the expensive side. It was. While the food was good, in my opinion, it was not so outstanding that it merited the high prices. The atmosphere is nice and historic and maybe that adds to the price of the food, I don’t really know. I was very glad that I brought a wrap because it was cold in the room we were seated in. The lighting was very low and hard to read the menu.
With all of that said, my husband and I both agreed that there are other fine dining restaurants that offer good food, at lower prices, that we would much rather go to. We are glad that we did go to this restaurant and give it a try but we most likely won’t be returning.
The restaurant is very quaint and historic. The food was excellent and our food server, Jeremy went above and beyond to give us top notch service. We will definitely go back again.
the appetizer recomended by our waiter the pie mussels were delicious
Prime Rib was a little fatty but overall food quality was good
We were celebrating a birthday and everything was A an A plus.
Certainly will do it again and pass the word to our friends.
Thank you for a lovely evening.
Always a good meal and service! Our favorite dining spot!
It had been many years since my last visit. And even tho ownership changed it was every bit as good as I remembered!! Best dinner salad I’ve had in a long time; succulent bacon wrapped fillet was outstanding; and amoretto cheesecake better than I can describe. In addition, our party included two 2-year olds and everyone was so patient with them: from the hostess to the chef to the server, etc. Excellent experience. Myrtle Beach vacations will always include The Parsons Table 👍👍
Always enjoy dining and relaxing at the Parsons Table. Servers have always been great. Nice to have a restaurant like this in the area. Prime rib is always great and we love the cornbread! Nice when you want a special place to dress up a little when dining out and not feel over dressed. Early bird specials help us seniors on a budget to enjoy a fine dining experience without breaking the bank...lol and if you do not mind eating real early! Specials always sound yummy but they are usually priced in the regular menu range. The only thing I would suggest is that you include a special for the early birds as well so we have something different to choose from outside of the regular early bird menu. Just my two cents.
A vacation must!!
During our annual trek to Myrtle Beach this is a MUST stop!!! We have been coming to the Parsons table for the past five years and they have always delivered an outstanding dinner and cocktails.
W look forward to visiting again next year!
Everything was absolutely great. Well worth the ride from Murrells Inlet.
We visited the Parson’s Table to celebrate a birthday. The service, food, and ambiance exceeded our expectation. This is the place to go if you are having a special or romantic occasion!
Service was wonderful. Food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. She crab soup is to die For!
This restaurant gives me renewed hope for a fine dining out experience. Excellent service, food and wine!
we felt that we were put in a corner. We had ordered two app. and one was forgotten and ti came late. However the food was good.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Parson’s Table last Friday with family from NYC. They were impressed as we always are with this lovely restaurant. Both gentlemen enjoyed shecrab soup and the special Monk Fish entree..the ladies enjoyed the curry, one with chicken and shrimp and the other a vegetarian version. Everything was delicious and our server Sloan gave us excellent service and took some great photos for us. We accompanied our meal with a wonderful bottle of Chardonnay and since it was wine Friday it was $5 off. As always a delightful evening at a Special Restaurant!
Our server, JoAnn was great!
.the house salad was wonderful!
This was our first visit and we were very impressed. We were greeted and seated quickly ( we had reservations and were surprised we were seated in a small out of the way table but it was comfortable) Next time we will ask for the room with the beautiful stained glass picture of a saint.. The food was delicious. Our steaks were prepared to perfection. Service excellent. Salad, sides, cornbread were all good.
We were very pleasantly surprised with The Parsons Table. It was recommended to us from a friend and we are so glad we took his advice. We come very year from Massachusetts and look forward to eating / finding new restaurants. Our waitress Cindy was very friendly, always interested in our well being, made great suggestions on wine and food. She is an asset to your restaurant. The Parsons Table will definitely be on our to do list every year from now on.
THE FOOD AND MUNCHIES WERE GENERALLY GOOD. THE LOBSTER TAIL WAS TASTY EXCEPT THEIR WAS A TOUGH OUTER SKIN ON THE TAIL. PERHAPS THE TAIL WAS TOO BIG. TWO SMALLER ONES MAY HAVE BEEN BETTER. GREAT LAMB CHOPS ...
Excellent food. Interesting interior with all the stain glass windows to look at.
I was on vacation and heard a lot about Parson’s Table. We went. I had the prime rib (omg), Mom had crab soup and crab cake (delicious!), and sister had salmon, which she loved. Good wine selection. Our waiter (Jeramy) was wonderful! It was a great relaxing evening and highly recommend this restaurant! Will be back!!!
I would highly recommend Parson’s for a wonderful dining experience!!,,,,
One of the best , if not the best restaurants I've ever eaten at !!!!!
This restaurant was recommended to me while dining locally in Greenville, SC. Our server at that restaurant accidentally greeted us with "Welcome to Parson's!" She quickly corrected herself as it was a slip of the tongue from being previously employed with Parson's. This lead me to inquire about Parson's and I was thrilled to hear it was near North Myrtle Beach. I was actually meeting a friend there just a few days later. So we looked up Parson's Table on Open Table. It was only 15 minutes away from our hotel! The historic church is now a very unique restaurant. We were thrilled as we drove up and was impressed with the entire building from the doors, floors, ceilings and magnificent stained glass. We were seated promptly although we arrived about 15 minutes early. I enjoyed a glass of chardonnay along with the complimentary CORN BREAD. It was divine, almost like a slice of cake! I devoured my swordfish and took the vegetables & potatoes back to the hotel to enjoy later. My friend gobbled every bite of her shrimp and grits, so no doggie bag for her. Kimmy was our server and she was very helpful with the menu. She was very attentive even though the restaurant was full. This will definitely be a stop every time we visit North Myrtle Beach in the future. Truly a treasure and so glad we stumbled upon this treat!
Always a great night. i had a question about two wines on the list. The server couldn't answer my questions so the manager was asked to come to our table and my questions were taken care of.
Great food and service! Rib eye and crab cake entrees were wonderful!
We come here to the Parsons Table almost for every special occasion and we bring any out of town visitors here also..You cannot beat the food...I always get the prime rib which is 100%all meat with no fat..and cooked to perfection...Never had a bad meal here yet..Thank you for making my day special with your great cook and service.
Always good food and a great value.
Was at Parsons Table about eight years ago and loved the whole experience. Returned last week and was equally happy. Getting remarried in two weeks (my first wife of fifty years died about two years ago) and was in proximity of your restaurant, my fiancé was very pleased with our meal; loved the ambiance, service and especially the food. Thanks for making our dinner special.
Really enjoyed the experience of dining in a former church. I like that they don't rush you through your meal.
We love this place, we come every spring and summer, and have a very special meal. The Brie appetizer is outstanding, and my husband loves the lamb chops, they are very tender and delicious. This place s chock full of history, it was a church at one time. It’s a special experience, and has beautiful stained glass windows.
Found everything about this restaurant, from the initial greeting to the service and of course the meal to be excellent. Quality and quantity of food was great, and prices were reasonable.
This was the most wonderful restaurant. We accidentally found it on our way to Myrtle Beach. I love stained glass windows and the inside did not disappoint. The food was OUTSTANDING as was the service. Kimmie was fabulous...even recommended sauces for my steak, which melted in your mouth. The salad was outstanding as was the bread. Actually it was a totally outstanding experience from start to finish. Prices were very fair for the quantity and quality of food. We will go at least 2 times next year!!
Was excited to get out of the vacation rental for the night based on ratings this place got. Waitress was super rude, rolling eyes anytime we’d ask for something. Food was ok, but not as good as it should have been for the $.
We greatly enjoyed our dinner there. Food and wine were excellent! Between the 4 of us everyone was very pleased with their choices. Delicious corn bread and our mussells appetizer was so tasty. Hubby and I shared one order and there was plenty for both of us! Prices are very fair for this upper scale restaurant. Love the ambiance of the old church building and the beautiful stained glass windows. Our waitress, Joanne, was outstanding. She was very professional, but still friendly and fun!! Great place, we'll be back!
Parson's Table is our favorite restaurant! The servers are always pleasant and very attentive.
Very good food and charming staff with attention to detail. We moved here from D.C. area.....would be a competitor with local fare there.
We have been to Parson’s Table a few times. It has been a place that we look forward to going to while on vacation for our adult night out. This last time was bitter sweet as we said goodbye to our vacation home and we wanted to have one last night at the restaurant. It was horrible!!! The bartender was very sweet and did a nice job while we waited for our table to be ready. After that it went downhill. Took way to long for us to be greeted and take our orders, bread didn’t come out until after being asked, we had to ask for our bottle of wine, people that got there after us were getting their food, and to top it all off the food wasn’t good. Granted, I’m from an area with amazing restaurants and well known chefs but this was just not good. Prime rib was tough and dry, fish was over cooked and the duck had a “cherry sauce” that was more like thy warmed up cherry jam and poured it on. The service was just way off. Empty plates sat at our table and our water wasn’t filled up....for quite some time. I don’t know if they were short staffed in the kitchen and with the wait staff but either way it just wasn’t good. Disappointing since we were really looking forward to this dinner. I truly hope it was an off night. Just check all the reviews before you go.
