About The Parson's Table

Not only can you get a juicy roast prime rib at The Parson"s Table, but you can eat it inside a church, too. The location remains very much the same structure that it was in 1885, when Little River Methodist Church was built. The cherished establishment first opened its church doors as a restaurant in the late 1970's and has been serving exquisite American steakhouse fare ever since. The restaurant's decor is positively Southern-charm antique, complete with dark wooden walls, stained glass windows and an original Tiffany glass lamp in the main dining room. An award winning wine list graces The Parson's Table as well as an outstanding fresh seafood selection.

We had a great time. Food was great. They were very busy, but they took good care of us. It was my husband's Birthday, but they did not acknowledge it even though it was on reservation and we mentioned it. It was a little noisy, but mainly just one large table that was really having a good time.

We went to The Parson’s Table last night for restaurant week. My husband had the prime rib, and I hav the haddock. Both were excellent. The cornbread was a highlight-warm, moist, and delish. We also loved the house salad dressing. At $30 for a four course meal, it was a great deal. We loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is in a historic church. The collection of stained glass windows, and 150 year old doors were beautiful. We plan to go back soon!

The service, food and atmosphere are great. The fish specials in particular are fantastic. I highly recommend eating at The Parson's Table if you are in Little River and the surrounding area.

This was New Year's Eve so it's hard to judge a restaurant based on NY Eve. Generally we like Parson's Table. We've dined there before. It's a converted church with separate rooms and stain glass windows. Very nice. This night it was more crowded than usual and there were large groups which made it a little noisy. I had a Rib Eye steak that was very good. I couldn't finish it as it was 16 oz. Veggies were good. Garlic and leak mashed potatoes were a little bland. The She Crab soup is outstanding. My wife had a lobster tail which she said was a little overcooked. That's a problem on NY Eve as restaurants are so busy that they don't have time to watch what they are doing as well as usual. We didn't send it back - hey it's lobster - but she'd have liked it less cooked and a little juicier. We didn't stay for coffee and dessert because we had a party to attend but we've had some good desserts there in the past. The Tiramisu is good. The strawberries Romanoff is good but only served in season so if they are in season, try this.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the entire Myrtle Beach area. I've been many times, and have never been disappointed. My son tried one of the special of the day fish dish. It was some sort of red fish that apparently is pretty rare. The chef's sauce on top, my son just raved about. It was pricey (more than my perfectly done lobster tail). Worth every penny. You do get what you pay for, and this is always my go to, when I want to splurge a little.

The duck was cooked to perfection and among the best that two of the diners have ever had. The prime rib was also delicious, with some marbling but very little fat. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, but not overbearing. Excellent atmosphere, meal, and service. Highly recommend.

This was not our first time dining at The Parson's Table and it was just as good as we remembered. We each had a different appetizer and all of them were delicious. The salad was fresh and the dressing was light and flavorful. The prime rib and New York strip were cooked just as requested. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Everything was perfect, especially the martinis in silver chalises. A little chilly, although it was one of the coldest days of the year.

Excellent evening of dining. Friendly greetings by all the staff. Was even seated 15 mins sooner than our reservation. Menu offered a good variety of items and flavors. Even with a full house everything was delivered in a timely manner. Food was excellent with generous portions. We are planning to return soon.

My family of four was there for Christmas Eve and had a great experience. It was busy but the service and the food was wonderful. We requested a table by itself in an alcove and it was intimate and quiet for conversation.

When I first patronized this restaurant in early 2015, I found nothing good about it! But I decided to give them another try about 3 months ago and there was a marked improvement. Tonight the experience keeps improving. Prime Rib was quite good, despite the fact that I prefer mine more well seasoned. My wife had the crab cakes - a little too much pepper, but they were still good... this coming from one born and raised on Maryland-style crab cakes! Definitely will patronize The Parsons Table again.

Always a delight. Superb food, particularly the specials. Service is always professional. A regular place we go every several months (don't eat out that much) but one of our favorite restaurants in Southern Eastern NC and North Myrtle Beach.

The Parson's Table was a very cool dining experience. The converted church was charming and comfortable, the service excellent, and the food divine. The swordfish was the best seafood dish I've ever had, and my husband loved his curried chicken and shrimp dish.
Don't miss the experience of this place. It's wonderful!

Food and especially specials are great. We have been here three times with the same group and have always been sat at the same table with the same server. This amuses me. The server is named Kendra and is the quintessential awesome server. She is funny, honest, and attentive.

Thanksgiving Special 🦃
The turkey was so tender and juicy. The sides were good but I would rather had double mashed potatoes.
Green beans 🤗 and Dressing was so good. Best I've had in a very long time... I would have asked for more but the servers were so busy.
I watched the owner watching our server and he is in charge. He should have more experienced wait staff working or available. From 5:30 - 6:30 (which is dinner hour) they were tripping over each other in time, rhythmic.
. Fault falls in the Management.

The table in the little room to the right was horrid. The people at the nect table to us were angry loud and old. We heard everything from colonoscopy issues to why the lady had been kicked out of her bridge club. As if her loud and obnoxious manurisms were not self ecplanatory....the French wine was also questionable. Who can mess up French wine...? Anyway the Chaple part of the building is nice try to be seated in there maybe tne noice level will not be so intrusive.

The dining room where we were seated was very warm to the point of being uncomfortable. The only relief came when the dining room was nearly deserted. The meal started with an assortment of Pepperidge Farm crackers and butter which was surprising for a restaurant with this reputation. The crackers were soft due to the humidity and heat. The duck breast entree had a much too sweet raspberry sauce. We will not return.
