Not only can you get a juicy roast prime rib at The Parson"s Table, but you can eat it inside a church, too. The location remains very much the same structure that it was in 1885, when Little River Methodist Church was built. The cherished establishment first opened its church doors as a restaurant in the late 1970's and has been serving exquisite American steakhouse fare ever since. The restaurant's decor is positively Southern-charm antique, complete with dark wooden walls, stained glass windows and an original Tiffany glass lamp in the main dining room. An award winning wine list graces The Parson's Table as well as an outstanding fresh seafood selection.

The restaurant is very nice inside. There are wood beams and stained glass windows which provide a nice ambiance. The filet mignon with bordelaise sauce was excellent. It came with a house salad and choice of potato or rice. I chose the fingerling potatoes with rosemary. They were very good. The filet was very tender and flavorful. The salad with mixed greens and house vinaigrette was tasty. Rolls and cornbread were served with the entrees. The cornbread was delicious.

Food was outstanding, service was slow. Seated at 6:15PM and received check at approximately 9:00PM. Three couples ordered desserts to go, desserts packaged incorrectly and food bills were mixed up.

Great atmosphere and food was wonderful.

I would give a rating of 6 out of 5 stars to Parsons Table! I've been several times and each time it gets better. Anyone visiting the Grand Strand area needs the treat of dining at Parsons but may need a reservation several months ahead but worth the experience! Best restaurant I've ever attended. GO!

My wife and I really enjoyed the good food. We also appreciated the atmosphere, and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The absence of loud music was refreshing.

Noise level was a bit loud from one group of happy diners, but the volume settled down when they left. Our waitress tried to remove our food so rapidly, even though we said we'd like the crackers/cheese and salad to remain on our table twice. Food was exquisite as usual! Scallops were fabulous, as was the veal schnitzel! Succulent vegetables complimented our feast! This is my favorite restaurant since 1985 beach visits!

My friend and I had the early bird special ( beef tips) they were so tough that I could cut them with my knife let a lone chew them. I didn't complain to the waitress and that was my fault I won't order them again

We began to go to The Parson's Table when it first opened and we were on vacation. Thought the atmosphere to be unique and quint, plus excellent food selections.

Every time we are in the area, we make it a point to dine at The Parson's Table. This visit we took friends who mirror our comments.

Lovely ambience, outstanding food and service.
