The Parson's Table
Outstanding in every aspect, bar none. From the time of seating - explanation of specials - entries to try - and dessert recommendations. Fifth time from Hilton Head.
Parson's has excellently prepared food and drink.
Can't hear yourself think, though.
Additions of sound proofing materials/panels is highly recommended.
Quiet, relaxing dining should be the next goal, not bedlam and a panicked atmosphere.
Lastly, the dress and demeaner of the welcoming staff is that I would expect of a diner.
Class it up a little.
Respectfully submitted by a full-time local.
Very noisy and a bit warm. My chair was not comfortable.
Food was excellent.
Exceptional crabcakes. Superb service. Loved the cornbread.
We enjoyed the restaurant on our first night visiting. I felt the waitress knew the menu quite well, and was very helpful when we placed our order. The restaurant was quite busy that night and there was a lot of activity going on (good). Our meal was quite delicious--everything was fresh. Drinks from the bar were very good as well. It was a pleasant dining experience and we would certainly recommend as a place to eat while visiting Little River, NC.
Enjoy : The old world craftsmanship of centuries gone by in this Church. Service; Outstanding. Wait time; very little. Food arrived quickly. Quality of food; 5☆. Pricing; Very moderate. Wait staff; Quick, Attentive, Efficient yet took time with each customer and with recommendations. The Little River Shrimp & Scallops: A Must. Best wine selection ever. Desserts, all homemade, will leave you amazed.
The food and service was excellent. My three guest and I were having dinner and visit. The only issue was a party of eight was seated next to us about half way through our meal. They were very loud to the extent we had difficulty have a discussion. I found this very rude.
First time there. Now my favorite restaurant in the Myrtle area ❤️Can’t wait to go again!
Had the pleasure of dining here on Mother's Day. The food was very good. We were seated immediately even though they were very busy. Our Waiter was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu selections. Best house salad I have ever tasted.
Have been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years. In the past we considered it one of the best in area. That has changed. We ate here 2 years ago and the food was so bad I swore we would never return. We however gave it another try on Mothers day and it was a mistake. It is still a beautiful setting but as of now the food and service are so bad I don't know how they stay in business. To start with the 2 hostess's were dressed more in line with working at a cheap bar than what claims to be a refined restaurant and their attitudes we as bad as their dress. He were ask to seat at a table in a niche that was so tight you could not even get into the chairs. When we complained we where finally seated at a different table but not until being chastised for complaining. As for the food, my wife ordered the shrimp and grits and the shrimp was so over cooked that it was dry and tasted like rubber. I had the prime rib and it was served barely warm. I do have to say that waitress was good and very attentive. Poor experience and we will never eat here again. Golden Coral would be better.
Lovely restaurant with charming atmosphere and terrific food. I would note that if seated in the side room left of the bar it is very dark. Needs more lighting
Food was great as usual. The place to go for special occasions.
We’ve been four times in the last five months. It’s our new favorite restaurant. We’ve taken friends and they in turn can’t wait to return. Food and service are outstanding.
Our experience with Parsons Table was exceptional. Hope to return there soon. They compare highly to all the five star restaurants in our area.
We always enjoy eating at Parsons Table. The food is excellent and so is service. Great place. Would recommend to anyone wanting a great meal.
We always love it when Joann is our server. I wish that the cornbread and regular bread were split into two separate baskets and maybe just a little less bread in each basket. Our table wasted a lot of bread because there was too much in the basket. But we were still too full to finish our main course by the time it came out!
Overall, we love the Parson's Table. That is just my one suggestion.
Kimmy was our server and she was great. We had never been there before and she explained everything to us. The salad and cornbread were awesome. Steak and grouper were also very good!!
Kimmie is a great server. The early bird dinners were great. I like the salad being included. Dessert of pineapple and banana was very good. Parsons never disappoints.
AS always a great place to dine. Service was great
Very pleasant surprise! Celebrated our friends 50th wedding anniversary! We will definitely be back!
Excellent meal. Well done.
I was there with friends and my brother for my 70th birthday dinner and it was a wonderful experience. From our delightful waitress, Byrnn, who served us well to the delicious food and our historic surroundings, the time there was a special treat.
Been their years ago ...and found it equally as great as before ... will go again next time in Myrtle Beach
Great as always. We live local and The Parson’s table is our Go To place for special occasions
Favorite place in Myrtle Breach. Eat here every time I’m in MB. Great smoked salmon appetizer. Schnitzel, steaks, shrimp & grits all fantastic.
Excellent food and service.
Great ambiance. Great place to bring guests for a great meal
The highlight of our annual weekend get away. Fabulous as always. Joanne was delightful. Thanks!
Lovely dinner with friends from Southern California. We know fine dining and found it at the Parson’s Table!
We have been to the Parson's table several times, each time we had a wonderful experience. Food excellent as well as the service.
My favorite restaurant was exception again. We have been coming to the Parsons Table since the 1980's and it never ceases to please. We come back again and again. Worthwhile experience. Love this place. Thank you to the Murray family for keeping our family tradition of celebrating special occasions here at your wonderful restaurant.
Dinner was excellent as always. There were four in our party with a 5:00 reservation. We chose dinners from the early bird menu and the food and service were wonderful. Highly recommend The Parson’s Table for a special dinner out, you will not leave hungry, the atmosphere is lovely, being in a former historic church and the Early Bird menu and pricing can’t be beat. Two of us had prime rib which was seasoned and cooked perfectly, one had the salmon and the other a rib eye steak. Everyone loved their meals which come with a a delicious house salad, lovely bread basket with corn bread that is to die for, seasonal vegetable and choice of starch. They also serve a yummy cheese spread and crackers to enjoy with your cocktail before dinner. We brought visiting friends with us this time and they said it was the best meal they had the entire trip.
Our recent visit to Parson's Table was to celebrate our 45th Anniversary. As usual, the food (Maple Bourbon Glazed Pork Chop & Bacon Wrapped Filet) was superb! Not cheap, but worth the extra cost. Our server was also very pleasant and helpful. I love the church stained glass windows that make eating before sunset even more pleasing. Can't wait to get back there soon. At least before the next anniversary.
We have been dining at The Parson’s Table for years. The service and food quantity have declined. Food quality is still quite good, but portions are smaller. For example, on the last two visits, we ordered fingerling potatoes and received just three small potatoes.
On our recent visit, our son-in-law sat down in a chair while holding our 14-month old grandson. The bottom of the chair was unattached to the frame, causing father to flip and son to hit his head hard on the floor. While the waitress was apologetic, no one from management came to check on the baby, apologize, or offer compensation. We were extremely disappointed and will most likely choose a different restaurant in the future for our special celebrations.
We went for our 16th Anniversary. My wife ordered the bacon wrapped filet and it was ridiculously delicious. I travel for work and get to eat at a lot of fancy, expensive restaurants. The Parsons Table was neither, but the filet was the best I’ve tasted. It’s worth the trip.
Parson’s Table never disappoints. From service to drinks to wine to food to dessert it shines and satisfies. All this is not a secret to others so for years we have felt the need to make reservations. Now that we discovered online reservations we will set our visit before we leave home to go to North Myrtle Beach. Love this place.
Wonderful restaurant. Food, environment, and service were exceptional. We really enjoyed our time there.
The Parsons Table is an excellent restaurant in this area. It is always a pleasure to dine here. We’ve made it a tradition now to come to the beach for our anniversary week and to celebrate at The Parsons Table.
It was our 37th Anniversary. It was our first visit and definitely will not be our last
Celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary there. Couldn’t have been any better! Would highly recommend! The atmosphere, service, food, was all excellent! Was even given a complimentary dessert for our Anniversary. We only wish we lived nearby so we would be able to go there often. We were on vacation for our Anniversary. So unfortunately will only be able to go back when we come to the area again, which we definitely do for sure!
Parson's Table is our favorite specialty restaurant and we continue to enjoy its ambiance, service, menu choices and friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Our April birthday celebrations were made memorable at Parson's and we plan to continue to enjoy our experiences there. What makes it so special is the fact that we have enjoyed coming to Parson's Table since we moved here in 2001. and have never been disappointed.
Thank You for Making It Possible!
