The food was very good, I had the prosciutto and arugula pizza. The service was equally as good. I was dining alone and did not feel that I was forgotten. As an added bonus, I was witness (with the rest of the restaurant) to a marriage proposal (she said yes). I really enjoyed my meal and will be recommending The Park to my friends.
4.1 rating, beautiful ambiance (IF you’re seated in the room with greenery and not the main area), and an interesting menu - what could go wrong? Pretty much all of it. We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation only to find tons of available seating throughout the two rooms. The menu and cocktails looked great but ended up tasting like something you’d get at a 2 star bar. The pizza was undercooked, the other food was too fried, and the cocktails tasted like pure alcohol.
The whole experience was most excellent! We chose to sit in the garden, with its chirping bird and beautiful trees. Our waiter was attentive and rolled with our unorthodox food orders. There were three of us. We had decided to share everything we ordered and we ordered one dish at a time. This allowed us to enjoy each dish and gave us more room on the table. To start a pitcher of white sangria and the prosciutto and arugula wood oven pizza, delicious. Next was the fried calamari, yum followed by the chef’s selection of artisanal meats and cheeses, my personal favorite and another pitcher of sangria. Thinking that we should get some kind of veggie in our feast we ordered the Tuscan kale salad. Our final dish was the garganelli lamb ragout. With full bellies we reluctantly didnt order dessert. Maybe next time we’ll forgo the salad and leave room for dessert.
Ambience and decor nice. Service good. But food nothing special. Burger and fries looked like it came from an average diner. Come to impress visitors (maybe).
You absolutely go to The Park for the ambiance. It is a beautiful space. The food is just ok, nothing spectacular or exciting. The service was good and attentive and the hostesses were very nice as well. Would definitely go back but just for an early evening drink instead of dinner. Too many other places with truly outstanding food in this city!
We loved the atmosphere and the open space. Our server was amusing and amazing.
Posting bad review. Service was terrible, food was mediocre and overpriced. The only good in all this was the pretty ambiance. I will not be coming back to this tourist trap.
Consistent and a go to place for meetings and afternoon catch up with friends. Staff never fails. Food is good but nothing out of the ordinary.
The location, atmosphere and vibe were great. Unfortunately for us the food fell flat and was disappointing.
We were here for a birthday dinner. The hostess and the manager were exceptionally amazing! Food was to die for and no complaints about the drink. Def a chill place to catch up with your friends without the noise level.
Just bad quality food. Good menu but like 0 care about how it turns out. Do better guys.
The only criticisms I would have is that they refused to sit us at our table until the third member of our party showed up despite our reservation and no one was manning the hostess stand when we arrived.
Awesome atmosphere. Took 17 minutes to seat us after our reservation. Service was super slow. 15+ for the first drink, and appetizers that were ordered at the same time were within minutes after.
Server seemed to be the only one working. Price point is decent, but service is everything. Food was good! Salmon burger has a good sauce, but was small.
Worth the try!
Price is nice and food quality is good. Hard to find a restaurant like this in NYC that has good ambiance, price, and food.
Lovely place with good food & drinks. Really liked the industrial park atmosphere.
Great atmosphere, beautiful decor, great food, good price and amazing service. Noelle out waitress was so nice and fun.
Staff was very attentive. Ambience was amazing. Light decorations at the ceiling was a nice touch. Food servings are big enough to share if your date has a small appetite. It would be nice if there was a lounge area with couches and dimmer lighting. Always better to have a reservation. Overall happy with the experience.
Beautiful atmosphere! I recommend sitting in the outside patio area (if you don't mind a few sparrows).
I love bringing out of towners here. The atmosphere is so pretty and the prices are moderate. The menu is a bit all over the place, but workable for most palates and dietary restrictions. Our server was nice, but it took a long time for our food to arrive in a mostly empty restaurant. There were no apologies and when the food did arrive, two of the four orders were wrong or missing items.
The Park was awesome! Will definitely be back if I ever visit NY again!
We had such a lovely time at The Park. Our server (I forget her name) was so attentive and bubbly and was able to accommodate our dietary requirements (and there were a few!) Front of house was friendly and not snooty at all which I have encountered a lot. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it for a get together and date night!
The place is very pleasant, but the menu is not very interesting and the quality of the food is mixed. My salmon was good, but the calamari was all breading and the hamburgers mediocre.
Very good! New to New York, and was looking for a place near Chelsea and just happened to find The Park and was definitely worth the trip, very cool atmosphere, good food, great cocktails, would recommend!
So fun! Waitress was incredible! Highly recommend this place.
Beautiful space. The food is ok but the draw is the atmosphere.
The hostess was rude, the servers forgot about us, and the food was fine at best. The pizza was good was tasty but a little under cooked. THe salmon burger was tiny and lukewarm. The fries were DRENCHED in salt. The look of the place is AMAZING! It truly has a great interior. However, the food and service are not on par with the look. I would only go again if i was invited but not willingly.
Excellent food. open but also a cozy lounge area.
One dish was overcooked and had to send back to kitchen. We ended up eating the dinner not the same time
I loved it. Such a cute place, with amazing food and drinks for a great price! All of the workers were so sweet. Definitely plan on making this a regular spot for my friends and I.
We scheduled a party of 6 for my wife’s 40th birthday. We sat at the table at 7:30pm and at 8:15pm still did not have our drinks order taken. A guest of the party had to speak with the manager to make this happen. He came over later and said he would take money off of the bottle of wine - thanks for saving us $6.00. My wife and her friend had their fish extremely undercooked and had to return it. The staff allows another party seated next to us to pile their coats up on the bench to the point t they fell over onto one of my wife’s guests. Then the bill came. The server messed up the billing twice even though we clearly stated what we wanted. This restaurant has been great in the past but I do not think I will ever return.
Second time at The Park, this time with friends visiting from Ohio and Germany. I choose The Park due to it's location new the High-Line and the atmosphere... and it was a hit. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how unique that setting was, inside of an old garage.
We started with drinks in the bar (next to the fireplace) and enjoyed some local brews. The bartender was very friendly, but the beers weren't icy cold like I prefer. My German guests probably liked that fact.
For dinner a few ordered the pizza, which looked amazing. My wife loved her's. I ordered a burger as did a few others in our party. Everyone was happy with their dish and happy to have experienced the unique atmosphere.
The food was absolutely awful and so expensive! Really don’t understand this place.
Great experience, attentive waitstaff. Gorgeous restaurant.
Overall a great experience for a casual dinner. The bar area was lively, and the garden/main dining room was very quiet. Prompt and friendly service. Good selection of the classics for dinner (pizza, burgers, cheese/charcuterie & more). Cocktails were around $14 and delicious.
Horrible food, decent drinks, depressing ambience. Do not come here, not worth your money.
Beautiful restaurant with lots of space. Good food too. While our waitress was wonderful, service was rushed and uncoordinated ... entrees were produced while we were still working on an appetizer plate, for example. The person who takes your order is not your server, and this seems to lead to confusion and lack of coordination. Not a huge deal, really, just a minor irritation in light of the excellent food and ambiance.
The rooms are beautiful and the staff friendly. The food is perfectly okay but unambitious. The short ribs were a bit dry. The burgers fine. The fries unremarkable. A nice place to sit and chat, enjoy a glass of wine, and have an ordinary bite to eat.
While the menu advises guests to let thei severs know of food allergies and intolerances, the servers are not respectful of these. They changed orders without updating me and overcharged me for the substitutions.
Amazing place. Restrooms could be a little more modern but food and ambiance was great!
